From "Mirror Mirror" (Season 4 Episode 5)
Foreman returns to Princeton-Plainsboro and is assigned to oversee House's candidates. A man (Frank Whaley) is mugged and suffers from a respiratory arrest. Though he has no memories of who he is, he can read the personality of the most dominant person in the room, applying it to himself to create a temporary identity. This is due to a rare disease known as Giovannini Mirror Syndrome. House becomes intrigued by the accuracy of this judge of character and manipulates the patient to judge others, while a team member wonders if House is more dominant than Cuddy.

@@susieq1565 I think it's more about he has an immediate and obvious sign that his Vicodin isn't Vicodin, but she doesn't quite have as immediate a sign that her birth control pills aren't birth control pills. Also, the consequences for her prank and his prank definitely incentivize her to not try it again, lol.
That look on Cuddy's face after he said that. That was the moment she realized that she was way in over her head on this battle.

A big reason why messing with someone's medication is a big no no. You cross a boundary and you might not like what you end up with.

I love how Foreman realizes that he honestly enjoys the stimulation that butting heads with House gives him.
Interesting in the episode is that the mirror syndrome patient copies the dominant personality. Here House has the dominant personality. However, earlier in the episode, the patient mimics Wilson in front of House. That means Wilson can dominate House whenever he wants to.
That's interesting to think about, besides some select few occasions Wilson has always been there for house(especially as a friend), except for some bs plot reasons sometimes haha.
I think context probably matters. In this instance it was an empty room with two people pleading their case as to why they had more power.
In an operating room, the lead surgeon by default is going to be the one with the power. And in that instance House was specifically trying to remain neutral and not jostle for power.

well almost all the time when Wilson really wants something from House he gets it in the end. f.e. in one of the earlier episodes that House'll take a patient patient, or when House's father Died, where he had to drag House to his funeral, he even got House to admit that his father is dead. House is defenetly the more dominant of these two.
That's because in most relationships, dominance may change depending on the circumstances. For House and Wilson, House is dominant most the time because Wilson is content with that. Wilson likes the adventure, the discussions, the intrigue of House. On the flip side, House is willing to do things for Wilson he wouldn't do for anyone else, even when it conflicts with his own beliefs. In the end, House sabotaged every one of his relationships, except the one with Wilson. So there are instances where Wilson is the driving force in the dynamic.
House is such an expert at anticipating reactions, behaviors, and he can easily read people. But in the times where his voice pitch is higher it means he truly cannot understand why the opposition made a certain decision or had a certain reaction. Like when Foreman told him he wasn't interested in the job, House cannot understand why and it kills him lol

One may argue that Cuddy at times is dominant over House (esp. when they were dating). Wilson is in his own league, he can dominate both of them if he wants to.

The non-calorific sugar they use in sugar-free ice cream can act as a laxative, and on my body it does that extremely well, so when I do eat a full bucket of sugar-free ice cream, I usually spend the next day going to the toilet a lot. I’m still at season 2,and I am definitely not disappointed!!! House is the best doctor/actor,and I can’t wait to watch all the seasons……for now,I need to stop watching house md,because I have school,homework etc(I’m focusing on that first),and when I’m free,I’ll continue watching house md🥺❤️. Tbh House MD is my only favorite American serie🙈😩

It's kinda endearing how Foreman learned about his experience away from House.
He quit because he kept thinking that becoming House was something he never wanted to be, that it'd ruin his life as a doctor and his perspective on life. But after his little adventure at the other hospital, disregarding rules to save a life. He now realizes he can step up, disregard a few rules, and still not become House. His sense of moral and his world did not come crumbling down because of the way he saved a life. He saved a life and remained who he is.
The one thing nat never fails to make me laugh in this episode is When faced with House and Wilson, *Mirror man went with Wilson*.

Messed up part is that I'm 99% sure house already knows that he doesn't want foreman gone just as much as foreman doesn't want to leave. Honestly when it boils down to it, yes, house does/did respect (to an extent, I think Taub and Thirteen rank highest) Thirteen, Taub, Kutner I think (Kutner's death kind of forces House to remember him more fondly due to the trauma of the whole thing), and Amber (same situation as Kutner, plus her relationship with Wilson) too, and hell even Masters. Still, he genuinely respects way more AND cares for his original team (Foreman, Chase, and Cameron), Cuddy, and Wilson above anyone else in his life. I think he's mostly just arguing with Cuddy over Foreman for the sake of arguing.

thing is i watched the whole series a few years ago, and i just didn't see any of foreman (especially foreman), chase or cameron improving to the levels or near level of house.
they just kept on making the same text book assumptions rather than KNOWING the body and KNOWING medicine. foreman is like the reliable guy that made it as team coach through default rather than some amazing merit.
