With me personally, I was in two abusive relationships before my current one. It took me about a couple of years until I found someone new. Also, dating someone right after you break up isn’t a good idea either. The person may have little experience in love & happiness. I mean, being the hero and helping out the broken hearted person can be a good idea; but, let her get over the ex before.

His intention was never to steal Heidi. His intention was to help get Heidi out of a toxic relationship. Which brings me to... 3. The relationship was toxic. Cartman didn't deserve Heidi in the first place. At first, it was fine, but then he slipped back to his old ways. Why that happened is debatable and besides the point, but the important thing is that it happened. 4. Although the whole sequence after Kyle and Heidi's conversation about Cartman was a bit unclear because it was montaged, Kyle is seen opening what looks like a love letter from Heidi, heavily implying Heidi made the first move. And if she did, it's hard to argue that Kyle "stole" her. (My personal opinion, feel free to ignore. I also won't really defend this point if you disagree) 5. The whole concept of not dating your friends' exes is a bit dumb to begin with. Yes, it can make things a bit weird. Yes, it very much *can* be backstabbing. But no, it's not *always* backstabbing. And no, it's not a "code". Saying something is part of a "code" is not an argument.
