Thing is the beats updater recognizes my beats. What else do you recommend to find out if it's fake, Also the quality isn't as good as expected which makes me skeptical.

So your seller sold you fake headphones as genuine, and the good old folks at ebay got you a refund. That's only because they got caught. Same thing happened with me on ebay, and yes I got my money back, but seller was still selling the same old fakes as genuine 6 months later. Ebay are as guilty as the sellers at peddling fakes.

I can tell that a pair of beats are fake 1: the picture on the box, might not look the same as the real on 2: the pamphlets might not be correct 3: in the carrying case, the fake pair of beats are wrapped in plastic bags or any plastic material and 4: serial number supposed to be on the right, just like you said in the video that's all I know and this was helpful tho, thanks :)

Beats should introduce a combination of written and online authentication such as registering every pair on a database that would match up with a certificate plus each pair's serial number would do the trick. But it's Apple and they don't care much about customers although the customer service lady was extremely nice although she was of zero help she tried to do all she could within the Apple trap environment.

are your headphones the wired kind or wireless? beats studio wired (2013) version do not have serial number on the headphones. they started putting serial numbers on headphones due to china fakes.

Some have a serial number, but it's the same 1-3 serial numbers. You can follow the steps in the video to see if it's one of the fake serial numbers.
