Aime Bomela we are the Israelites that were scattered throughout the earth. Even the native Americans are our long lost brothers who migrated here thousands of years ago Read Deuteronomy 28:15-68 Joel 3
Am from Nigeria and it's so fascinating seeing how Afro Colombians still preserve the African culture, the dance is not different from the dance I see in cross river state Nigeria. When I look at Afro Colombians closely I see a different features from we west Africans which suggests they must have been mixed along the line. Mucho amor desde tu hermano negro desde Nigeria.
Actually most of them have alot of ancestry & culture from Kongo Kingdom (the Bakongo tribe), and some other ethnic groups in Angola, Congo & Gabon. Even the language Palenquero is spoken there, a creole mixed with Kikongo and Spanish mainly, with small influences from other languages/dialects. Their cultural dance as well shares similarity with the Bakongo traditional dances.
Our people are truly amazing with all that we’ve been through and continue to go through we are still here that’s why it is extremely important to keep and preserve our African blood line I love to see videos like this even though our people were shipped to the four corners of the earth it is amazing how we were able to keep our customs if this video didn’t have a title you would think this was filmed in Africa much love and respect to all my Africans and African diaspora world wide I loved the part that said if you don’t look like this you cannot stay here that was powerful!!!!!!
@@theholeintheground503 those states that you are talking about are the most deprived, but If you went further north of map where is crowed by white and mestizo people, my goodness! Thanks for sharing this video. How did you set this trip up to Palenque? I would appreciate any info you may have. I’m going to Cartagena next month and want to visit Palenque.
Good video about African Culture in Palenque. Hope to see another video about their self sufficiency i.e. Agriculture(crops/livestock), production of clothing and other materials.
Black people in America need to understand that there are people of African decent all over the caribbean and South America. The boat stopped more places than America.
I cant stand how Colombians in colombia neglect and treat Afro colombians poorly, they are part and are the colombian community as well 💯 soy colombian too

They are pure and being like that since they were taken from different places from Africa. They mainly gotta some heritage from Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Senegal.
Shakira created the few schools that are in this zones. She gives them free education. In Colombia we all know that Shakira has done more for the poor children than the government itself
Colombian Music is influenced by African rhythms. Its embraced, and every one is aware of it. Shakira plays tribute to this in several of her songs. Google ; Carnaval De Barranquilla, you will see how strong this beautiful influence is in our culture.

I love these people, segregation is the only solution for the preservation of our life. No sense in living with people who hate you and want to hurt you and your Children. I hope our African American and Afro Caribbean people do the same. Its time to give white people what they want. A world to themselves.

Reminds me of primary school in Kenya where we used to put on these costumes and do dance competitions.
They still keep some Africa tradition, palenqueros and raizales as well.

The nicest but yet one of the most deprived people in Colombia 🇨🇴
You tell no lies!!
Actually the most deprived and violent zones in Colombia are the ones populated by indigenous. Guainía and Mitu are some of them.
