What a wonderful, humble human being. He treated everyone with respect and dignity. I had the pleasure of meeting him only once, he was the type of guy who could make you feel so comfortable in his presence. Not just an amazing actor, but a remarkable human being.
Great video. My mother encountered Raymond once at the Los Angeles Airport, about 1960. She was there to pick up my father who was away on a business trip. She said that Raymond was a very cordial man, even to complete strangers.
Raymond had one of the best voices of any actor. Deep and rich for sure, but with so much sincerity and feeling and color, if you will. His radio work was unsurpassed. He could paint pictures in your mind through the radio and make you feel like you were there.
Totally agree! "Isn't it true, that it was YOU, who hid the fireplace poker" . King of the courtroom surprise. I was aqainted with his partner of over 30 years, Robert Benevides. They were wonderful people.
One of the most incredible actors ever. Perry Mason is the best TV series of all time in my opinion. Amazing. There is absolutely no one in Hollywood today that could possibly memorize 75-80 pages of legalese dialog for one show like he did. Never a flub in almost 300 episodes over 10 seasons from 1958 to 1967. Ive been watching since 1965 and two times daily for the last 4 years since metv has been running it. Great cast of characters. No special effects, just superb writing acting and drama

Raymond Burr was very handsome with dark looks and yes he was great in the movie Rear Window which was an excellent movie. Perry Mason was great I watched it for many year's😁👍🎉
I graduated from Colorado University at Denver, in May of 1993; Raymond was our Commencement speaker(!!). He was witty and engaging, and the news of his death in September, only four months later, heightened the memory of his shared stories. His role in "Please Murder Me" against Angela Lansbury was dark, and eerie.
I still watch Perry Mason very often, I love that show! Raymond was such a handsome man, loved his voice too. He helped alot of people n seemed to have a good heart.
My earliest memories of Raymond Burr was back in the late 50's, sitting next to my grandma watching Perry Mason. I still watch those old reruns and always feel like Grandma's watching with me.

1957 I was 5 years old. I'll never forget when Perry Mason first came on black and white television set my parents owned. My sister who was 6 years old and I were already in bed by the time this came on television. I remember hearing the creepy music they played at the beginning of the program. It really scared the crap out of me. Laugh out loud
I was born in 1960 and can still remember that creepy, ominous Perry Mason music coming on while laying in bed. I must've been around three years old and that along with the music for The Twilight Zone are some of my earliest childhood memories.❤❤❤

Very nice video. I have always enjoyed his work, especially those endearing roles on TV. But I really love his earlier work in radio drama, where he played the heavy. Although my favorite is his portrayal of Capt Lee Quince in the radio program “ Fort Laramie”. I once read he also collected stamps, especially stamps of the Pacific Islands. A truly great talent, thankfully we have his work on film, TV and radio to enjoy again and again.
Very nice narration and presentation. I was able to buy one of Mr. Burr's dress shirts off of Ebay. I gave it to my brother on his birthday, and he loved it. I have also purchased several items with Burr's signature. One was on a restaurant receipt. Another was from the Hollywood "commissary" where they filmed Perry Mason. I bought photo of "Perry and Della" signed by Burr and Barbara Hale. I have also seen the old grave marker that was on the Burr gravesite before his sister Geraldine died. The original was metal and flush with the ground. I like the new marble headstone very much. Thank you for your nice post.
@@jcvancouver Thank you for writing to me! I don't ever mean to brag about my Raymond Burr memorabilia, it is just that I am so excited about it. But here is my biggest heartache: I live on the Central Coast of California. Think Monterey and Carmel. I am roughly 4 hours from the famous Napa Valley vineyards. (Of course NOT NOW with all the fires consuming so much). Anyway, RB and his friend Robert Benavides, lived up there, around Geyserville, where they grew grapes and orchids. After RB passed away, dying at his vineyard, his friend began to bottle Raymond Burr wine. My cousin, who lives in Sacramento, told me I would LOVE the vineyard, not even so much for the wine, but there they displayed MANY items of RB, his Emmys and Oscar, and zillions of photos not seen usually. So two years ago, I finally went up there, AND HIS VINEYARD HAD BEEN SOLD. I cried like a baby. The only thing of his still there was a robin's egg blue convertible car still for sale. I don't know where his partner moved to, or if RB's items are being displayed somewhere else. I am VERY sad I didn't make it up there in time to buy some wine and oooh and aaah over his treasures!

Not too many comments about “Ironsides” that was a great t.v. series. I was a little boy watching “Perry Mason” in the sixties. He was the first person that I ever saw with a car phone. The commentators voice is so whimsical and cute. I wouldn't care what or who he was talking about. His voice and cadence just bring a smile and a giggle into my life
The "Burr" building still stands on New Westminsters' BC main street. The Burr Block missed the fire in 1898. . The Burr family were a number of over achieving sister and aunts; a strong maternal line in the Burr family.
Raymond was the most honest and truthful person I have ever met. He was 100% heterosexual, and his marriages were NOT fabricated. I have the same surname as his deceased wife and when Robert Benevides called me 'Sullivan', Raymond immediately corrected him saying, 'Sutherland! I am VERY familiar with the name Sutherland', and for a moment he went quiet and I could see the pain in his eyes. Robert Benevides addressed Raymond as 'Sir'. It was a father son relationship, nothing more, although clearly Robert Benavides is gay and loved Raymond. Raymond WAS Ironside and Perry. A man of extraordinary integrity and Christian faith. The light of God literally shone brightly in him.
A awesome show to watch in the 60's & 70's! Usto stay up late in the 70's to watch! After that tv went off the air! It was a diffrent time back then! Life wasn't about cable & internet!

I saw KK vs G. in the theater when it first came out. Awesome on a huge screen even with 1963 special effects. I would love to get the Japanese version of KK vs. G.
Loving the Perry Mason series on FCTV. 4 shows Monday-Friday and 1 on Saturday and Sunday
The commentators voice is so whimsical and cute. I wouldn't care what or who he was talking about. His voice and cadence just bring a smile and a giggle into my life
Thank you Jacqui. ❤️🇨🇦🙂
Every weeknight my husband asks where I'm off to and I reply " to see my boyfriend Perry". Lol
This is a very nicely done video. Very touching with lovely scenery.
He also starred in the original Godzilla movie. I still watch Perry Mason 5 nights a week...
Very nice video, I still watch Perry Mason, thank you for the upload.
Thank you kindly my friend. 🇨🇦👍
I always loved his smile
Rest in peace 💜🌹🌹🌹
The "Burr" building still stands on New Westminsters' BC main street. The Burr Block missed the fire in 1898. . The Burr family were a number of over achieving sister and aunts; a strong maternal line in the Burr family.
My mother used to say he had “bedroom eyes”
a very lovely tribute
heartbreak71 thank you kindly my friend. 🇨🇦🙂
Great video thanks so much , still watch all his movies , God bless💕🦋🦋🦋🙏
Thank you Nadia.
Love this video, New Westminster is a beautiful city and so close to my heart, so much history :)
Thank you very much Marie. It sure is a great place. 🇨🇦👍🌸🌺🌼
Only once other than my mom have I ever saw the name Minerva. Watch Perry Mason twice a day. Love the older tv shows.
Every weekday at 9 am, I watch Perry Mason show. ❤️❤️
Very interesting, enjoyed this.Love Perry Mason, still watch it at nite.🙏🏾
Thank you Pam.
A awesome show to watch in the 60's & 70's! Usto stay up late in the 70's to watch! After that tv went off the air! It was a diffrent time back then! Life wasn't about cable & internet!
I am thankful to Hallmark Movies & Mysteries for showing Perry Mason movies. Every morning at 9am “The Case of the...” has been on, Ch. 565 on DirectTV.
Whenever I need a lawyer I think about someone like Perry Mason. Raymond Burr was perfect as Perry Mason.
