Daily Training - 4/22 - QF's complete, onto Semifinals Prep!

  • Nothing official about qualifying for Semi's yet, but I am going to train as if that is the case! Which means 2 weeks and 2 days until SemiFinal workouts are released, crazy!!
    Started a quick BS cycle today and plan to get 4 days of it (every 2-3 days) so I complete it before Semi's.
    After that, did a quick triplet of movements with the following intention:
    1. Do lots of GHD's between now and Semi's
    2. Deplete my core, then hit a moderate (unbroken) set of DL's
    3. Work on improving my grip by going from DL straight to farmers lunges
    4. Be smooth and fast, but not a sprint. Work on pacing/be consistent.
    WOD (no video):
    3 rounds for time:
    25 GHD situps
    15 Deadlifts at 225lbs
    16 Walking lunges w/ 5olb DB's (farmers style)
    *lunges done with the intention of being 25' down & back
    *for grip training, add a 15' walk before & after each round of lunges (really so I could get to the open space for the 25' down & back!)
    2:54, 6:05 (3:11), 9:16 (3:11)

    jgleich21 - great job with the QF - I ended up 1974th and while I had a few "tactical" mistakes of not pacing better on a few of the workouts, pretty happy that I was able to participate and measure my level of fitness. Always interesting to see what other athletes do for regular weekly/daily training. Keep the videos rolling. Kick butt in the Semis.

      That's fantastic Benjamin! It is such great experience to go through the process and learn, good on you for making all the effort! Now you have an awesome benchmark to shoot for next year - while competing is always fun, it's really all about you vs you! Appreciate all the support sir!
