I’m a Borehamwood season ticket holder and I can’t blame fans to be fair for not showing up for the some of the cup games as much purely because even though we’ve had discounted season tickets each fa cup game is an extra £15 - £20 on top of the season ticket and if you pay to follow us on away days too it all starts to add up will say one thing that annoys me though the cup games such as these ones against Carshalton and we played larkhall at home too poor atmospheres but when we get a big tie like Leyton orient or when we had our cup run in 2022 all the hangers on fans who couldn’t be arsed to stand and watch us on a Tuesday night in the league in January all think they deserve tickets just because they live in the town I think at Borehamwood we need to strike that fine balance between fans who are dedicated to the club and actually care and support us and fans who want to start following a non league team I think the fans that just show up for the big games harms us and our atmosphere that’s just my opinion though
Tbh borehamwood need to start making prices cheaper for young people borheamwood has a very Morden and young population but for some reason there charging the most for young people out of all the clubs which I just don’t understand if ur trying to get a new generation of people at the ground especially after u just been relegated and I think that’s why there was nobody there
I have to agree, it’s difficult for Borehamwood to pull fans in because most people support Arsenal or Tottenham, however today was a perfect chance to get fans through the door because they weren’t playing, but I think the ticket price heavily impacted the attendance today which me and my dad spoke about at the start
I live in Melbourne, Australia now, but went to Boreham Wood v Yeovil when over in April 2016. It was 16 quid to stand on an uncovered concrete step terrace behind the goal. Fast forward to April 2023, and I'm back at Meadow Park, weirdly enough against Yeovil again. By now the North Bank had been renovated and covered, and it's decent - but we still got relieved of a twenty each to stand behind the goal. That skinny brick wall away section at the south end is still a sorre thumb, even more evident on live television broadcasts. Boreham Wood is in Hertfordshire, just - but they have been fond of claiming that they're on the "London entertainment ticket price" scheme. Which, even as a supporter of the club, is clearly a bit naughty. There are substantial discounts on season tickets, but as you correctly identify, the regular "hardcore" support is relatively small, as Boreham Wood has been a transitional outpost for overspill from North London for seventy years. The English side of my family lived there for over fifty years and were part of that migration from inner North and West London. The vast majority of families such as mine retained their support for their already existing league clubs, as we all would. Therefore, the casually fluctuating nature of Boreham Wood's support outside of that small core group is nothing new.
I have to agree, it’s quite difficult for Borehamwood to pull fans in because of all the bigger teams in the area, but today was a perfect chance to get people in because of the international break, I think ticket prices really impacted the attendance today
Good vid mate keep up the good work
Thank you Toby !, glad you enjoyed 😁

Huge huge game and there’s like 5 home fans embarrassing club

Considering our fa cup runs of recent I wouldn’t say this was a huge game 😂
