I was so chuffed to see this result. I visited AFC Wimbledon some years ago with FCUM. They were instrumental in helping our club in its infancy. This was a result for football and a kick in the teeth for new-fan plasticism. Best of luck for the season to the genuine Wimbledon.

As an MK fan, I supported the old wimbledon. Don't care for the debate, or the opinions, I got a club to support & I support whoever I chose.

Milton Keynes deserved a decent professional team in the town, but they stole another club and its place in the league. If they did what AFC did and start from the bottom of the pyramid, people would respect them. The fact AFC did this forever stands as a rebuke to MK. They are tainted by this. If i lived in the town I could not support the club.

Totally against the franchise club, but I can sort of understand young kids from MK following them as they have grown up with them. But I can't get my head around middle aged blokes like myself. What did they used to do on a Saturday afternoon before the franchise club set up? Were they just not into football?
