Finally got the brackets in yesterday. I have some stuff to finish up around the house and then they'll be installed. Hopefully get them in during the week since we're supposed to be getting snow ❄
Haha... I'll have a video out Saturday on the trials and tribulations of getting these brackets to work, but in the end the seats are in. They look great and feel great too.
Maybe get them installed this weekend before the bad weather hits. So the new seats have a manual slide operation? Put some tape on the bracket to protect it when cutting off the C6 side mount. Looking forward to the seat change and review.
Correct manual sliders, so no more electric seats. I'm going to try and keep the driver seat module so I still have telescoping steering wheel. If I remove it, then that feature will be gone too so not ideal. We'll see
I always used to hear the biggest complaints of the C5 were the seats 🤪. I really didn’t have any real complaints with mine though. Those brackets look really sturdy bro. Awaiting install
I didn't mind the seats either, that's why I didn't change the seats for the longest time... but now I get it lol. These seats are comfortable and you sit in the seat instead of on the seat.
That's exactly what they look like and I mentioned that in a previous body. I haven't seen them side by side to see if there's any difference in production or slider quality.
I have the Amazon seats in my basement. That's what the brackets are going on and hopefully have them in by tomorrow. I have an unboxing video, but I mean side by side with the actual Cipher or Braum seats.
Kinda being peanut butter and jealous about seats over here I’ve wanted to do seats for awhile and haven’t been able to lol but it’s ok, I’m ok, everything is ok
These are aftermarket brackets with manual sliders for aftermarket seats. You won't use these for stock seats. Do other functions to your seat work except for sliding forward and back or does nothing work?
@@YellowVette04 my freaking leg lumbar is stuck in the highest setting. The seat slides back and forth but I can't get the leg lifted up part back down
Gonna be cold and snowing the next few days and plus nobody is ever in the Passenger Seat anyway 🤣🤣. Still have to hopefully figure out the steering wheel issue for the driver's side. I know I can move the wheel to where I need it, turn off easy exit and the wheel will just be stuck there, but I'll try moving the seat module over to keep that function if needed. The cat is more pissed, that used to be her blanket she sat on
Lol I hear you man. It's like 30° with 20mph winds right now. Hope to get the driver's seat out today or tomorrow and then put them back in before snow next week. Part of why I'm not doing too much is I'm getting the house ready to sell so I can get the garage I want.

I just started to put led lights in the car. Thanks to you it went a lot easier.
LED upgrades are one of the best ways to update the C5 and make it more modern feeling. Glad the vids helped you buddy 👍
New seats are one of the best upgrades for a C5. Makes the big go kart feel even more go karty.
Can't wait to put them in and go for a drive. Hopefully I'll have a little time tomorrow or Monday before the snow comes
Very cool. I may or may not be looking at very similar seats! 🤫

Great video as always.
Appreciate the support as always 🙏
Cool video... Good to know...
Figured it was good to share since I was puzzled for a little bit until Cipher cleared it up for me.

Those original seats looks pretty good :)

Good buddy!! It will look insane!! At least the brackets are giving you a good content
Good content is debatable lol. Can't wait to get them in tho, hopefully during the week.
The blanket on the door jam is a must. Ask me how I know. 🤨
Ouch, sorry to hear that buddy.
the door panel always gives me the worries
That's a good point. I looked at it as I was backing up, but I could see that getting a nice rip through it if not careful.
Luke know you snagged is blanky?
He was already napping... didn't think he needed it anymore
Just need a baby blue blanket instead of yellow and you'll be all good to go 😁
Just an FYI, the Cipher seats are just the cheap chinese amazon seats, with their own stitching and leather patching.

@@YellowVette04 I had some of the amazon seats for a couple of weeks. I would be happy to send you pictures on IG or FB

@@YellowVette04 ohhh I got you. Comparing pictures they look identical aside from the covers.
@@YellowVette04 on top of that, the seller that I bought my amazon seats told me that they sell them to DNA racing and Cipher

Lol I'm excited to finally get them in. Gonna be cold and snowing early next week so idk when I'll see how these feel on the road.
Wait? These are not sliding brackets? My c5 electric sliding drivers side stopped working

they are gonna look good, brotha i can slide you some cash for a vacuum if you need.
Lol I got one. I'm using it to vacuum out my basement at the moment. I drive around with the roof off to much, all those little leaves lol
i cant say too much, i found a pair of needle nose under the seat that i had been looking for a good week or so
The end sitting in the car with no seat 😂😂😂😂
Dave’s wife: Where’s my yellow comforter?
Dave: What yellow comforter?

Where did you order those brackets from?
Ordered these from Cypher Auto. cipherauto.com/products/cipher-auto-racing-seat-bracket-chevrolet-corvette?variant=12336029073450
