- In this episode, I am riding to Boquete, in Panama. I have to follow the Panamerican highway for a while, which is so boring that I am looking forward to do some adventure riding in Boquete and get up Volcano Barú. The park ranger however, is telling me something else..

"One life skill, to deal with disappointments" what an epic and true quote...
Luckily Noraly never disappoints
She's wise
@@dialogarconlahistoria8229 I do believe she is an old soul. She seems to have different values and motivations than most people. She may not choose the same options as most people but, she sure seems to find good ones for her (and us).
You could hve tried throwing $20 in his direction, the barrier would have opened quicker than you can say open seseme!
That is not a "skill" that is an inavitable consequence of life itself. 🤫 The real skill is to reach your goals regardless of setbacks. :)
Noraly rides hundreds of miles to a town. What does she do for entertainment? She rides around some more. A true motorcyclist. Can't wait until you get up into the U.S. to see your impressions of different states.
Don't you just love Mondays, wednesdays and fridays when our favourite youtuber uploads inspiring and urging us that one day we will get the same experience of travelling in a motorcycle around the world and also documenting every minute of it. Noraly you're such an inspiration.
Yeah lets go!
Yes thank u for say n that not many people around me get the RUclips stuff I talk like its breaking news or super bowl. ..IAM on you tube try n to upload an edit it's hard much respect to them
Good morning from NZ. I have to wait until Tuesday due to time fact 😟. But so worth the wait. Thank you Noraly as always. Beautiful scenery .
Yes we do!! I’m keeping tabs of my weeks and constantly look forward to her wonderful vids!
@@feather1950 Hi Heather, I'm in NZ too and have followed Noraly since she first started in India with Basanti That lass is quite addictice isn't she?
Exactly the kind of day adventure riders should have. Just exploring, free and easy< without a lot of baggage or schedule. A lesson in adaptability too.
Noraly, thank you for sharing your amazing journey with all of us. You approach everyday with optimism which is uplifting and an example for each and every one of us to follow. Thank you Noraly, you are an inspiration and you make this world a better place. ❤️
Watching the adventures of Norally in South Africa.
Already look forward to seeing you in the US but love this trip.
You are by far the best teacher in dealing with disappointments, thanks once again for your great video’s and stay save.
I can’t picture Noraly ever retiring.
What Noraly is doing is what some people retire to do !🙂🏍
@@alanw9677 I hear that!
She did "retire" from a job finding gold where she made a fortune in 2 years. Who does that? Me being in the US, I kind of worry that her time in the US could get to be the straw that broke the camel's back, just not worth the hassle of all of the people wanting something from her. Maybe kind of like musicians that walk out of the limelight but, still do music on their own terms.
the only re-tiring will be new Pirellis....
When she undoubtedly gets to that ripe old age her carers will be out in the woods searching for her, I can't think of anything that's going to suppress her wonder lust.
Retire Noraly? I don't think you will ever retire, adventure and exploring is in your blood Noraly. Not one of your fans would ever want that I don't think, at least not for many many years yet, all of your fans just have so much love for you and you are just to precious to us, the joy, happiness and knowledge you bring to us all is simply something we just don't want to lose, not just in your own country but all over the globe. Dealing with disappointments seems to be second nature to you Noraly, and that is just one of the traits you have that make that love we all have for you so strong. I don't know what honours you can have bestowed on you in the Netherlands I.E. OBE MBE Lady or Dame , but yours is long long overdue. God bless and look after you Noraly, you truly are just so precious to us all. 👍👑
Thank you Noraly. That really is so nice to receive a ♥ from you. My very own honour bestowed upon me, by the great lady herself . 👍👑
Just checked and up to this point there have been 462 Itchy Boots videos and I've watched them from the first one. So I've probably invested maybe 14 days of my life watching Noraly travel the world and I must say it is one of the best entertainment investments ever. I've ridden motorcycles for over 50 years and I can only dream of traveling the places she has been. As long as these videos continue, and I'm still above ground, I'll be watching.
You and me both. Addicted to this channel. 😀😎
It's been said before, but deserves to be said again: Your drone footage is really top notch!
I always look forward to the scenery along the ride, and esp. the drone footage...lots of amazing terrain shown with that drone!!
@@garykaufman8128 And her music selection is always impeccably selected.
I had no idea that Panama was more than low-lying jungle, and certainly not including beautiful, tall mountains. It's all much more attractive than I had believed. Thanks Noraly.
Baja California Sur has interesting & varied terrain, like Panama with High Mountains, creeks & even trout fishing running down to all the different deserts on both Pacific & Sea of Cortez sides of the penninsula. i will be interesting to see which part of Mexico Itchy will ride the last 1000 miles north through Baja Penninsula or Pan America on the mainland Mexico or maybe do both if time permits...
I love the attitude. Nothing can discourage Noraly. I hope she never loses that ability. It's wonderful to find a treasure even when they have made you change your plans!
Never for a moment did I expect Panama to possess such beauty and amazing highlands. Thank you Noraly for setting me straight. As always you bring suprise and adventure and an endless flow of discovery.
Makes me want to learn Spanish and ride there.
I’m trying to capture the contrast of the soft spoken, sweet optimism of a Danish beauty with the steel hard courage of the globally matured, tested and proven riding skills as she negotiates the rocky, muddy ruts of Panama’s (a country on the other side of the world from home, in a third language) back roads, with a philosopher’s wisdom, just for fun, all in the same little woman’s skill set. SHEESH, Noraly, you are a breath of fresh air. You give me hope for humans. Texas
I share your sentiments, Papa Jeff, totally. But, she's Dutch, not Danish. Albuquerque
Yes, right
Maybe it felt a bit silly, ending up riding around aimlessly, but from over here, that day looked like an accident gone right. The drone shots were absolutely magnificent, the little country roads looked inviting…
Me likey! 🤗
No one on RUclips does a better job pairing drone video that Noraly. Always breathtaking.
@@richardmourdock2719 I wouldn't go to that superlative, but she's definitely second to none there. One of the top notchers.
Wonderful adventure of BOQUTE
I aldo love riding aimlessly occassionally as this is when I make some of the best discoveries. They are so fun & relaxing.
You can’t retire now! How will the world function without our almost daily dose of two wheeled adventures with Noraly ? !
Sure she will retire..... a new tire on her bike! LOL
When you get to Costa Rica, if you are not already planning a trip there, check out the Monteverde Cloud Forest and the surrounding community and Volcano nearby. It is a stunning place and well worth the time going there. I have a good friend, Ricardo Guindon, who is a guide in the cloudforest. He is very adept at spotting many of the wild animals that roam the forest. You have a wonderful channel!
I live at the foot of a Volcano, Mt. Baker, (USA) WA. It's a stratavolcano and it's 10,871 feet above sea level and the 2nd most active volcano in the Cascade range mountains. The road to the top is paved. There is a lovely ski area at the top and the road to the top of Mt Baker is part of the Mt Baker/Snoqualmie National Park. Canada is about 10 miles, as the crow flies, to the north. There is of course a wild glacier fed river which decends to the valley floor. It is a wild river, no dams, called The Nooksack river. I am so fortunate, live in paradise. I feel your awe each time you say "look at this view" ~ love your channel Noraly!
The videos brighten up miserable Mondays! It’s 20 minutes of sheer, uplifting, interesting, visually stunning and fascinating escapism!
12:02 Amazing footage!
Glad to see you again Ms. Noraly!😊A great start to the week! Thanks for the ride! It’s an amazing way to discover new and unique perspectives on travel! get endlessly inspired for your next trips❤️ Ride safe always and take care!😘 Btw, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!😁
One million subscribers before crossing Panama 🇵🇦!! My favorite channel!!
My young days, I too travelled alone as a student in 1973
Hitched hiked to Amsterdam, roamed the streets of Amsterdam. Came home started travel on dirt bikes. It was always adventure
Now at 73 with cataract, quit travel altogether and watch noraly vids at home with coffee and cookies
Thank you so much Itchy boots for bringing me back to my young days
Ahhh those memories came back when you started season 1
May you be blessed with good health, safe travel, a comfortable bed for you to rest where ever you go
My brother is close to 90 years and still rides...
the news only ever shows what is ugly about people. Thats why i love your channel you aways capture what is good about people and show the beautiful world we all live on. Thank you.
Good morning from Kansas, Noraly. I am literally addicted to your channel and your adventures! I am seriously considering starting a few smaller adventures, but I only have a 100R :). 250s or 350 Rallys are hard to find (that are affordable and street legal). Starting with the 100 to make sure this is something I really want to do and pursue! Thanks for being such an inspiration!
I am not sure who watch on RUclips but if you are not familiar with As The Magpie Fly's She gives lots of information about touring around the US and camping on a motorcycle. Oh and check out Dork in the Road he represents Giant Loop a motorcycle luggage company out of Bend Oregon. Welcome to the motorcycle community..
Good morning from Brazil! melinda come to brazil and let's make all latin america together.
You can even do it on a 50cc, its gonna take you a bit longer but thats more time to enjoy
@@johnpagejr.7628 Thank you! will check them out. I also watch Dan Dan the Fireman, Ride like a Pro, and Her 2 wheels, also, there’s few other but on IG. one is an adv rider, an olympic skier I think? Another rides a PanAm. (Wish I was taller, this is why I like Noraly)
No one is quite like Noraly though!! original and the best for adventuring!!
@@motomaiden you are welcome! I watch all of those. I am watching a video that just came out from Big Rock Moto. He is doing a serious about beginner new adventure motorcycles. He does a excellent job.
Noraly, you have incouraged my wife to take more and more trips on our bike, thanks to you and your wonderful channel, very very proud of you!!!
Love the sound of Alaska's engine starting up, taking us on another amazing adventure!
Am addicted to these videos better than any TV 📺
I am glad you were free styling and showed us the stunning panoramas of the mountainscape. The volcano was beautiful even if we only saw it from afar.
A real „fall in love with Panama“ episode! What great drone shots and landscape filming/impressions! And so nice you could enjoy off road riding without luggage!
Nice relaxing video, when your job is to be an adventurist there is no need to retire. I’m 72 and my wife and I go on adventures almost everyday so you have many more adventures ahead of you .
Happy Trails
Blijft geweldig om steeds maar weer zulke mooie video’s voorgeschoteld te krijgen. Dank je Noraly 👍🏽👌🏽💪🏽👊🏽🤩
How to deal with disappointments. Another life lesson learnt from Noraly.
Dealing with disappointment is indeed an important life skill. As it turned out, not a bad day!!!
Now that is what I call real exploring. What is at the end of this road? What is over that hill? Another excellent video.
Nice to hear Sani Pass mentioned. An advantage of going solo, you get to pick any adventure road, even with unknown destination, and noone to try and dissuade you.
Absolutely amazing views on your route! It’s incredible and unfortunate that Panama lost the opportunity for a geologist to visit their volcano and share it with almost a million potential viewers! Noraly, you certainly are on an amazing adventure! Ride safe!
And, as always, the drone footage is simply amazing!
Noraly my name is Victoria de San Juan Argentina ( en spanglish porqué hasta mi madre se sorprende con tu español) hoy me compre mi primer moto una honda xr150l.. you have been the inspiration for just getting what I always dreamt of. Hope the roads fine you well, and safe travels through beautiful America. If you ever need a friend in Argentina. Mi casa tu casa 💛 thank you for showing us the world🤗🤗🤗
Magnificent views from Panama: lush green vegetation along the way, and beautiful white cloud formations scattered on the blue sky. The trip to Alaska keeps progressing better and better!
Just caught up to latest episode after watching every episode from the start of Season 1.
Up until now always been comforted by the knowledge that there were more episodes to come, so nothing awful would happen.
This is a little more nerve wracking!
I have to say though, the one impression this whole journey has made on me is that the world is not as dangerous and threatening as we are lead to believe.
No doubt there are a lot of horrible people in the world, but I've been touched and inspired by how many really nice people there have been along the way, who went out of their way to help. It could even be true that the majority of people in this world are decent human beings?
Hi Noraly, Sadly we didn't get to see the top of the volcano, but the afternoon ride still had epic scenery. I loved the drone shots, made it look like a total wilderness from up high. Thanks and as usual stay safe x
I've been following your adventures from the beginning, and love them! (Even bought a Himalayan as my first bike, got to take it out yesterday on a sunny Montana, USA winter day) I've noticed the last couple episodes you've seemed to stop using music while riding, only during drone shots. I like not having so much music, the engine and road noise I think helps make the episode more dynamic (if that makes sense). Also I like the new intro and additional camera angles. Safe travels!
According to Noraly BOREDOM is caused by "flat straight smooth roads"...so you CANNOT get bored in PANAMA !!!
At 19:13 to 19:25 ...Truer words were never spoken ! What an amazing lady.... so well grounded.
Just can’t go through Monday without this .Yet to finish watching the video 😀
If there is one life's skill that one would need to have is
"To deal with disappointment "
Wisely quoted.
I share Itchy's disappointment. I was really looking forward to the view both into and from the crater's rim. I've often hoped that Noraly's channel would encourage more young people to be adventurous and follow her example of enthusiasm and joy. But as a "life coach" her teachings were never greater than today. A great "life skill" is dealing in disappointment. Very well said, Noraly! And as an American we'd be proud to have you retire with us... but not yet! You have too many journeys to share with us still ahead!
Seems that some people just can't deal with disappointment. I'm thinking of that guy that lost the last presidential election in the USA. What was his name, dump or lump, something like that.
Still very nice scenery in Panama. Thank you Noraly. 👍
The narrow roads are very similar in Uganda. As is some of the scenery.
Whenever I watch your videos, I'm amazed by how good your cameras are at absorbing vibrations.
Noraly and Normally... nothing 'normally' about this lady. Thanks for posting.. !!! Love the content.
Noraly, Thank you for the ride. I was just getting to the adventure and you started your closing😥. Engaging commentary and amazing camera work makes the time go so fast from the vantage point. Thank you again, Bob, Nevada 👍👍👍
I have been watching your travels for a long time now but have been unable to comment as I watch you on my TV which doesn't allow comments. I have been with you on all your exploring. Absolutely fantastic filming and editing.
Such a lucky person to be able to do what you do. I'm happy when you return safely in you next video.
That little honda is doing so well. Its a beast. Thanks for showing us the world.
Yea, it would have been cool to see you tackle another tough road to the top of the volcano like Sani pass, but it doesn’t matter, with your nice personality, curvy roads ,drone shots and scenery, it made a very entertaining video.👍🏻
I'm American, Retired U.S. Navy and my wife (she"s Thai) and I are living in Wiang Chai, Thailand! Love living here!.
Love how you deal with disappointments:)))
Beautiful ride amidst lush surroundings and very nice drone shots. More than anything, I come here to see you smile and tackle unexpected events cheerfully ❤️
Norale , you are such a blessed old soul 👍👍🙏🏼🥰
Amazing adventure Noraly, we are here holding tight on your bike tailpipe.. cheers from US ..follow you start in 🇦🇷Argentina
The life skill of dealing with disappointment is a sign of strength! Thanks for sharing this beautiful place and wisdom with us.
This day was, 'making a silk purse out of a sow's ear' (old Scottish saying). The ride was still great, as was the drone footage. And Boquete looked really nice. I had heard it was a popular US ex-pat town... thanks for letting me see it!
“One life skill worth having: ‘dealing with disappointment’ …. !“ Oh, Noraly! Adventure plus wisdom. What an awesome channel. 🎉💯👌🏽
Un gran abrazo en el Día de San Valentín de parte de los miles de seguidores enamorados de tus aventuras. Qué tengas un feliz día. ❤️ 🤗 E.
You have preserved your love of spontaneous adventure while being possessed of a remarkable maturity, this is not a common thing.
With all the volcanic activity going on lately, I find myself wondering/ worrying if that sort of news is evident to Noraly as she travels the ring of fire. We even have rumblings coming from our dormant volcanoes here in the Pacific Northwest, that eventually Itchy Boots may pass by on her way to Alaska. I guess I've adopted you Noraly, at least in my thoughts and prayers for your safe travels 😻
"Una de cal por las que van de arena" is a saying in Mexico. One bad apple in the big bag. You are doing wonderfully, Noraly, your videos are the best in the Internet. Best to you and Godspeed.
The road to Volcan Baru is extremely hard to walk let alone ride on Alaska. Very loose and big rocks. It was fun watching your video as I lived there for four years. All very familiar.
When given the choice between walking or not going because you can't take your bike, you chose not to go at all. I respect that. I'd subscribe twice if I could.
Hello Noraly, I am a fervent follower of yours and Charly Sinewan, since they are both in Central America, will they cross paths? A video together would be great!
I had a Honda XR 80 as a young teenager and we had woods near the house. At 16 and getting my license I bought a Honda 250 XL with road tires so I could drive everywhere.....and didn't ride the XR 80 anymore and sold it. Seeing you ride on the dirt tracks reminds me of the freedom I used to feel.
Great video! Could you tell us a bit about the weather (what gear u need), is the trip what you expected? and how Alaska is doing? She need maintenance soon? How does she handle? Etc.
Much appreciated!
Stay safe 🙏🏼
I believe Noraly is using Mosko Moto luggage. Other good quality luggage companies are Tusk, Giant Loop, and Wolfman.
I think Noraly did the gear video in the first two or three episodes of this season.
My channel is focused on motorcycle adventures, not reviews, but I do write about these things sometimes on my blog :) I wrote a blog after the first 5.000 km with Alaska here (www.itchyboots.com/blog). Service interval for this motorcycle is 12.000 kms so doesn’t need much maintenance 👌
@@ItchyBoots solid! Been following you for pretty long now and in Africa you sometimes did service vids with Savannah. That's why I asked.
Ill check the blog! Enjoy!
@@johnpagejr.7628 Seen that ofcourse, but was wondering how it was going. Also with the bike. Similar like the Africa series with Savannah.
This disappointing day of yours just made my disappointing day a whole lot brighter. 👍👍👍
There’s only 2 things wrong with your videos , they don’t last all day ,and they are only 3 days a week. 😂 I’m joking of course. Travel safe as always. Thanks for sharing your adventures
Hi Noraly, life has such disappointments, the beauty is that we continue to enjoy the good routes and the beautiful landscapes that nature gives us !!!
3 Months of watching Itchy Boots cross all these countries, interact with all kinds of people, and just bring it to us the way it is. She has proven to me that the News Media is full from eating crow and spreading lies...
the world and people are wonderful

"If there is one life skill that is good to have, then it's dealing with disappointment". was epic
Watching the adventures of Norally from South Africa. I think you should have flown a drone over the volcano too.
I'm new to the channel and in about 5 days I've now watched some of the India and African videos and the entire season 6 series. I can't stop watching! As a biker I am in love with everything Noraly do. Watching the videos I was guessing she has to be a Geologists, I was close a Geochemists which is just as cool. Love your content and look forward to go back and finish watching the rest and finishing this trek to Alaska. 🏍 ❤
Hey Noraly, nice video...shame about the volcano but if your heading towards Nicaragua 🇳🇮 or Costa 🇨🇷 Rica there will be plenty more.. the Ring of Fire!!. Lovely filming as ever. Cheers, Steve
Noraly, I love your videos and adventures! Keep them coming, be safe and God bless you. 😊🙏👍
Hi Nora, I just bought an RE Interceptor 650 and I'm officially asking your permission to name her "Nora" after you. She's orange and rides like a dream.
Good color if it's a tribute to a Dutchy 😏👌🏼
@@bjrnchrstn Fell in love with her from the first time i laid eyes upon her on some billboard. And she was orange in it. Never even considered any other colour thereafter. But ya, it can be a tribute to the Dutch as well. Life's little coincidences.
Hi Norally! almost all the travelers that I follow and pass through Panama say the same thing: "it's nice but..." They abuse the tourist, for everything you have to pay a guide, a 4x4 etc etc... Thank you for your videos, and soon you will have 1M followers! You have to party! A big hug fron belen de escobar Argentina.
A BIG thumbs up! always so chirpy, and positive. If only the world had more Noraly's. Keep safe!
Thank you for taking me along in your travels!
An adventurer or truly free sprite can never retire, only find new adventures or unknown paths to explore. Either in the physical world or in the knowledge of mind. Please always continue sharing your adventures with us. Think the biggest reward one can have is sharing what one find of exploring the rim of knowing, second the creative journey. Failures make the rewards of success much greater. Proving that the (almost) impossible, can be done. It is just a bit of a challenge😉😜.
Yet another marvelous episode from our intrepid Noraly with everything and more, including philosophy - "One life skill, to deal with disappointments"!
Don’t despair, Noraly. In Nicaragua you can ride up Volcán Masaya and look (and smell) the sulphur in the crater. In Guatemala, there are roads/tracks up Volcán de Agua (difficult) and Volcán Acatenango (very difficult; the road is private), as well as Volcan Pacaya (medium difficulty). Not all of them will take you to the top but, since you like adventure, you’ll get your fill - including, if you are lucky, watching lava flows. Great video, as usual.
Have & will always like traveling with you.
Take care & I'll so you soon.👍🇦🇺😎
Thanks for the tour around the country side. I enjoyed seeing the views and the excellent drone footage.
