  • Keeping the Kifaru KU mindset alive but using far more durable materials, the KU 4300 means you can head further and higher into the backcountry without sacrificing durability. The combination of Challenge Sailcloth UltraGrid and EPX400 fabrics makes for a lightweight, durable and water-resistant combination without sacrificing strength. Autolocking buckles on all straps keep the load in place without slipping. A YKK zippered pocket with key hook on the lid portion of the snow collar keeps small items up top and at hand. To keep weight as low as possible, this bag does not have a loadshelf sewn into the back. While designed with the ARK frame in mind, this bag will also work with the Duplex and Newplex frames.
    Available 2.15.24

Sweet bag. Not crazy about the new lighting in videos. It looks cool (the lighting) but I’m trying to dissect the bag and half of it is hidden in shadows. It would make a cool podcast studio but when I’m looking at products I want it lit up like we’re watching a surgery.

I hope you guys create some packs from this lightweight fabric with more functional features like side pockets and a center zip for ease of access. Your packs like Gnargali, Bedlam, Cutthroat have these very important features. I prefer to carry spotters, tripods, bottles in side-pockets.

A new run of the muskeg 7000 with the new material would be freaking sweet.. I love that pack and mine has seen a lot of hard use.

That .uskeg 7k is my favorite pack I have owned. Thing has seen some torturous stuff with zero issues!

Are you gonna drop the “larger one” you used in BC soon?

Lots of cool tech here but I wonder if by leaving off side stretch pockets and a load shelf (to make it ultralight) it parses the market segment too small? Seems like more folks (myself included) would be in with those two small tweaks. Great stuff though, very innovative. Love the snow collar/lid and clean lines.

I never understood these stuff sack load from the top designs. I like quick access. The 44 mag and its family design are nearly a perfect set up.

Yep.. something told me they were going to start making bags out of Challenge Ultra. Is everyone ready to start revamping their collection? I’m not!😂

Will there be a larger version in the near future?

Is the KU lid compatible with older bags like a Reckoning or Fulcrum?

As someone who has a fulcrum which is absolutely bullet proof, and will always use as my elk pack… I feel this one kind of misses the mark. It’s like stepping into ultralight but not really making it light.
Myself as example, my fulcrum is a little over 10lbs empty. I want a new light weight pack for a high elevation gain, backcountry 2-3 night mule deer hunt and be able to get deboned animal and all gear out in one trip. The stone glacier Col 4800 is larger and only weighs 4.5 lbs. Although i realize it may not be as bomb proof, not everything has to be, as I think people going light/ultralight understand.

Coming in at 6lbs for 4300cb in of space isn't really ultralight. It may be ultralight for kifaru since we know their stuff is generally on the heavy side, but not for the hunting pack industry.

    Yawn....
Why don't you just bring back the Argali/Markor/Thar?? Or the Highcamp series?
Nothing like overcomplicating things for no real gain other that to justify new pack names in hopes of increasing sales...
Just bring back the good stuff and sell it at a reasonable price. This shit aint hard.

you should start your own company and offer competitively priced gear of similar quality if this shit ain't hard.
