Morality In Fable 2025… (why we need it)

- in fable one of the key systems was the morality system! it was in fable 1, fable 2 and fable 3 and I hope that we will be seeing a return in the newest game too! but today I discuss why it is that I want to see a return, why its so important to what fable is and why the fable reboot needs to implement it, for it to feel like a true fable. Fable could have been a revolutionary game from how it was presented with project ego. Open world and procedural maps that are different every time
Totally agree.
It helped revolutionize the moral system in games if it's not in the reboot what was the point in calling it fable without a moral system.
I feel guilty for choosing the evil way as well. Always the good guy on my first playthrough at least. Shame the evil character looks cooler.
I'm not sure about the upcoming game. Haven't seen much to impress or distress. Just neutral at the moment. Would prefer a more cartoony style but not that bothered.
I would like to know, beyond what you'd hope comes back, what is one thing or things that you always wanted in Fable that we never got, that you would like they were added in this new game
Oooo good question, I mean there's plenty of things I wish got answered like Theresa's story line and such but I'm assuming you want a fresh new thing I'd love which is obviously a bit trickier.
I guess for me, what springs to mind is the idea you can shape your own land a bit more, I'd love it if we could buy a plot of land, and build a custom house, maybe even our own village with people we can rent to, form our own place and government and be able to have opinions like 3 where we can decide how much we want to spend on guards etc, with challenges against us too.
think of it like this, at the end of nearly all the games money becomes pointless, so imagine building your own kingdom, and having people try and raid etc, you would have to budget upkeep and try and keep your kingdom afloat, maybe this could be a remote island off the coast of albion or something. I like the idea pirates could attack from the beaches, bandits could do raids, if you're a bad leader you'd have to fight against revolution and stuff giving both good and bad players reasons to get money and keep playing. It might even make sense to play evil in the game to get the wealth early so you can be a better leader of your own place, hated in albion loved in your own kingdom, sounds stupid maybe but I think it could be fun, it'd only have to be about the size of knothole island too!

Wonder if you couldnt do a different take on morality i purpose a kings choice and a tyrant choice where you skill tree would be based around those and evolve with each path good or evil you unlock a skill for evil or good but with a twist cursed weapons have negative stats for evil with good divine weapons but less powerful at night kinda like how fable 3 had the hero weapons vut your tree is off of those
