I remember playing with Gaz & Scott when they were youngstars (I’m a few years older 😀). Really inspiring and educational playing with these golfers.
I’ll never forget the first time I played with em. I got my 3 wood out (the way to start, as advised in a golf mag). These guys had driver - it’s a par 4 you know… Get ya driver out “hit it, find it and hit it again”… That was their philosophy (Chris, Danny & Matt)… 😂
Great vlog. Keep em coming Gaz they’re great… 👍🏾 😎

@@garymartingolf - You n me used to play mainly at Tinsley and sometimes with Chris (he was assistant pro then). We got to the semi-finals of a comp once in doubles. You were the single figure aspiring pro and I was the wannabe mid-handicap ringer 😂
We played Concord a couple of times when Matt was the assistant pro.
My well known name or nickname is different to this RUclips username 😎.

Padraig Harrington says, “anyone that wants gimees can’t putt”, always putt out if you want to be able to play under pressure.

last week I was having the round of my life and just before my transition to the downswing on the 17th tee, a lady's phone beeped loudly and made me jump, she was playing with us. Pulled it left, lost ball. I was so annoyed but just muttered under my breath.
Good to see you being aggressive, doesn't always work but neither does safety. That looks a soul destroying course from the tee. I love these vlogs but they really need the banter, i like it when you pros explain what shot you're trying to play but then again don't get formulaic, this was a good vid cos youre good players and you're mates so nice and chilled. I'm not his biggest fan but when Pete Finch plays in a serious comp (like recent quest for the open vlogs) he's quiet on the course but does a voice over, works well but that's for a comp match. Otherwise he's too busy saying rarely funny quips ;) Keep the content varied Gaz, been with you since the start and love the channel

Love this video. Great work as always, Gary.
My first thought was that it would be purely entertaining and not educational for me because, with so little length with even the driver, EVERY hole requires the Big Dog from me.
However, I’m wondering whether you might be able to do a video showing on what occasions/hole layouts a mid- to high-handicapper could possibly shoot lower scores by taking something other than a driver off the tee.

Always a time and place for full out attack. There was couple of holes I don’t think you benefited there though.
I reckon more all out attack on the green is a must. If it goes past the hole it’s a free read, if you’re short there is still an element of questioning yourself.
In addition seeing the ball hit the back of the hole before dropping breeds self confidence in your read.

I get you with the Pro Shop...it was always a little on the dark side in there, possibly down to its location. Practise ground and short game facilities were always very good...if Scott has improved them they'll be first class 👍👍👍

I’ve got to say, I’m not sure I gained anything in terms of score! I wouldn’t have used driver on any of them holes in a normal round, not even the 10th par 5 due to the fairway being sloped.

I think you’re right! If you want to win! Someone said to me, why does Rory play so conservative, he’s not playing for money, he’s playing for trophies, why doesn’t he attack more, and I made me think, this guys got a point!
