These videos are so awesome Kristin. I’m an adult beginner and it really helps to hear detailed breakdowns on placement and technique! A lot of teachers fly through class without addressing the “how!”
I know Im late to this video, but I so appreciate the way you encourage a mind set shift in how we think about moving. Using postive words like "I get to" rather than "I have to." It makes such a difference.
I love and appreciate your knowledge of anatomy!! It adds so much to the more typical aesthetic, intuitive, feeling-based tips common in dance education. Both are so helpful. Thanks!
Could you just show the needed exercises and strength, instead of talking me to death? The pointe is I'm 56 now, and if someone cared about me when I was 11 it might have made a difference. The Russian ballet master loved my legs, I just grew way too fast without the proper instruction. I just want to do this for myself now.
Yes, I'm sorry about that. I bought a lapel mic to try to help with the audio quality, but didn't get it in time to film the video :/ The quality should hopefully improve next time!

Great video. Adding the mental dimension to it all is ingenious. On all counts a unique offering.

Thank for these helpful tips! Can you do a tutorial on delvelope arabesque? I have the hardest time placing it behind me correctly.
I would love to see that as well!
So much substance in this video...and so much beauty ! Thank you so much!

I love all your videos! You are awesome!
This was excellent thank you so much!
reli well explained my ballet teachers just tell me to go higher n turn out every time without explaining anything
and the psoas and the cuadriceps are the principal muscles to extend and elevate the legs
Thé explanations are great. Thanks. Suggestion: The sound is not very clear, there is a kind of echo...The subtitle helps.
What does it mean if when I straighten my leg a la seconde my quad cramps?

Something odd is going on with the sound. It sounds worbly and like you’re in a tunnel.

Less introductory talking and more demonstrating, albeit along with instructions.
Too much talking
