Rig Rundown - Enterprise Earth's Gabe Mangold

- On the heels of releasing Enterprise Earth’s Foundation of Bones EP, Mangold virtually welcomed PG’s Chris Kies into his converted cargo trailer where he lives and records. (During the filming he was parked at the foothills of Cerro Vista in NW New Mexico.) The vagabond guitarist opens up about creating pulverizing rhythms on 7- and 8-string beasts and using 21st century tech to create anywhere and everywhere he and his dog Jiro may roam.
[Facing a mandatory shelter-in-place ordinance to limit the spread of COVID-19, PG enacted a hybrid approach to filming and producing Rig Rundowns. This is the 20th video in that format, and we stand behind the final product.

Enterprise Earth is unbelievable. Crazy heavy and talented. So is Delusions of Grandeur and The Harvest Colour. Gabe is a freak of nature artist.
The Ola Englund strictly seven signature guitar looks amazing!!
Love all the dog hair in the guitar pictures 😄
Copious amounts of dog hair is unavoidable in my setup 😂
Gabe is such a cool dude. The type of guy you could just sit around a campfire and talk about life with. Truly a musician to look up to!
Gabe has the coolest setup ever!
What an awesome lifestyle! That's so cool I should do this with one of my work trailers.. very jealous lol
Such a hell of a guitar player and a super nice guy!
cool interview thanks
I may take some heat for it but I'd love to see a Bryan Adams rundown someday.
No brother no heat at all, bryan Adams is awesome, I'd love to see more rig rundowns for synth/keyboards players, the jamiroquai one was awesome
For sure. Keith Scott has some killer guitars with him on tour
perhaps slightly off topic, but Chris' Graveyard shirt is epic.
What’s the scale on the strictly seven black and white crazy he’s doing drop e only with a 80 gauge
You guys are getting good at this - prod wise. good run down. Do a run down for Billy Zoom (X), Shane Embry, loads of interesting old school punks would be killer to hear/see. Coctau twins, would be cool af too. Peter hook!
This will be the only functioning studio once the true Pandemic/Apocalypse kicks in...
Enterprise Earth is severely underrated as a band. A huge unspoken reason behind them being underrated is... The absolute shit record labels they have been under starting with one of worst labels of all time, We Are Triumphant. That label has pretty much buried alot of talent in their time. If Enterprise had a well connected label backing them they could have been huge right now. It's honestly a shame to see talent like this not get the recognition they truly deserved.
lol it sounded like crap...and then I skip forward and he says Kemper....every time I hear crap scratching weak fake distortion, it almost always turns out to be Kemper. Oh yea, every prominent psychologist says people who draw on themselves have mental issues. and It's true, these guys look like they fell asleep on the Sunday comics...lol
Oh wow David such a strong and life changing message! You truly took Gabe down and now he’s non existent because your strong words perished him.
how will gabe ever recover from this violent, unforgiving roast... poor guy
Ok, boomer
we found the boomer
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
