Hi my dear sweet Brittany, Thank you for sharing this intimate story. I am 67 and I am still learning more about myself. Self discovery is a lifetime journey. I am so glad that you are discovering what your life should be and to whom you spend your time with. During my early years I did not know what signs to look for since I grew up in a totally dysfunctional home. I suffered unimaginable consequences , but it opened my eyes to see that I deserved better. Now, I am single and so happy with my life. I still learn more each day. My kids and grandkids have helped shape who I am today but that person is still me. I like to believe that I am better for going through life and learning the bad so that I could find the good in me. I love you just as if you were a child of mine. Never apologize for for yourself because life lessons are learned daily and by the minute. Sometimes rejection is Gods protection. God protected you from that ex and he couldn’t be around you bc his heart was not pure. We live and learn. Don’t be ashamed bc the shame was on him not you! You weren’t alone. God was with you the entire time! Just look to hills from where your help comes from. The enemy didn’t want you to enjoy that trip but I believe God wanted you to see the beauty in him and the beauty in you. You have come so far and you need to celebrate your wins! I believe God will send you the right people at the right time to be in your life. He loves you and wants the best for you, This is a season of self reflection, healing and growing. You are such a bright light and don’t allow anyone not even you to dim it❤️

Oh my goodness when you said keeping quiet to keep the peace, that so resonated with me. I find myself doing that often in my 12 year relationship, keeping silent letting him believe that he is right in everything , I find myself not happy and not living my life the way I want, and I’m 61 years old. Brittany thank you for being so transparent about what you’ve been going through. This might sound weird, but much like your ability to see things clearer when being in nature, I also have an empathic sense when someone is going through something. I believe it’s the Holy Spirit, but I digress.
When I watched your Guam videos, I could feel that something was off with you and I even prayed for you during that time because of what I was sensing. Your energy seemed disconnected and unhappy since that trip, and now it all makes sense.

Changes are definitely on the horizon. This is a season of change and letting go of things and people who no longer serve a purpose - I had to end another 15+yr friendship cause they're still the same person they were back then and it no longer goes with the person I am today. So I gotta go 🚶🏾♀️

Wow! Great video! It took me a long time to realize that the biggest and most significant changes in my life came on the heels of painful experiences that I was willing to work through, and that ain’t easy. Self awareness requires painful honesty about things we’d rather not acknowledge. We can learn and grow in the course of life’s inevitable ups and downs, but if we’d rather not face stark truths about ourselves (not self aware) the downs of life are longer and more intense. My mantra is there’s no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone. Take care and keep growing. Wishing you safe travels and fulfilling days.
