Did you have to tell the DVLA about the nine swap I know you have to tell insurance but ive been reading that if the car is over 40 years old (tax and mot exempt) then some people are saying you don't have to tell the DVLA, is this true. Thanks, also fucking love the car mate it sounds mega :)
Yes log book says v8 engine and the capacity. Just had to provide an invoice for proof of purchase for engine. Insurance is surprisingly cheap through the owners club with all modifications declared. Still has original axle and suspension mounting points. As they made a factory V8 i think it makes things a lot easier.

Yes! Bish is nearing the end of a big engine upgrade to 5.0L, throttle bodies, Link ECU etc. Planning to have some fun next year.
