I watched your video, Molly as I wanted a change from my neutral blonde hair and absolutely love your particular shade of strawberry blonde. My hair turned out a dark coppery red so unless your hair is very, very light or mostly grey to start with I strongly recommend using a neutral blonde of the same level (8N) instead of a golden blonde (8G) with a small amount of the titan blonde 8RG or at the very most do 3 parts neutral blonde to 1 part red golden blonde. Also, if you are starting with dark hair you will not achieve this shade unless you first lighten your hair with bleach and then go from there. Molly, you are beautiful and this shade is so perfect for you...thanks for the video...just thought I'd add my two cents....xx
Thank you, I'm so glad you added your experience with the shades. I have tried every combo out there and it's worth repeating that each person will have to tweak or alter their own formula to suit their needs, unless you are starting out with the same shade as me. And even then, you might have to alter your shade to best suit your skin undertones. Its worth playing with, though, because it's a very affordable option vs. going to a salon. Thank you again for adding your experience and I hope you find your perfect shade!
you are gorgeous and I love how you talk to the point without telling us your life story what you eat...(like others do) your video was very helpful. Thanks
Me too. I would never have known it was dyed, it looks so natural. Similar to my hair when I was younger. My hair has gotten lighter as I got older, with more and more white coming in.
I’m a natural strawberry blonde and the red has really faded over the years, but the result you got is absolutely perfect I’m going to give this a try to punch up my color!
my hair is already a golden brown but i want to go exactly your color for the fall, and i have fair skin especially on my face and i have some freckles, and i think it would be really cute
Not sure who you are, but you are my hero! After becoming a blonde from a true redhead, I have been struggling to go back to my natural. This mix seems to be on point!
natural red head here!! but as I got older my hair became dirty blonde so I started coloring . I can't believe I'd ever say I missed my red hair but I did...soooo I just finished up my hair using these products and I love it!! I can't stop looking at it!! thank you!! *notice redness behind my ears and on my forehead while application, used diaper wipe to clean around edges and the redness went away*
+David heather davis SO glad these colors worked on a natural redhead as well. Thank you for letting me know! And the baby wipe trick is great, will try next time.
I used these with the addition of the sunlit blonde you stated on your website and my hair is long and thick and the color came out identical to yours. I have a tiny bit of gray and it covered it perfectly I am so happy
I just dyed my hair because of this video! I had bleached platinum hair so I had to change the formula a bit. I used a full tube ( 2 oz) of the 8g, 1/4th (.5 oz) of a tube of the 8rg, and 5 drops (pea size) of 7g. And the appropriate amount of developer! I processed on the roots for 20 minutes and on the ends for 15! It turned out perfect!
I have bleached hair with about an inch of dark blonde roots grown out. would I have to bleach the roots first? and if so, how long would I need to wait before dying?
I bought a box of light golden blonde hair dye from the drugstore and my hair was originally a medium brown with golden blonde highlights and my hair turn out ur color and now I'm in love!
barbarella026 Thank you! And yes that coconut oil has saved my hair. I love curling irons and flat irons so my ends are happy I love coconut oil too, haha!
This color is beautiful. Strawberry blonde hair is the prettiest, but you have to have the right coloring like you do. Sadly I don't, but I still look on with envy. Lol.
+EdieSexwitch Thank you, doll! I agree, red is a tricky color! Sometimes when I'm slightly more pale I have to reduce the amount of Titian Red to half or 3/4 a tube because it can look too garish on me. Love your profile pic, gorgeous!!
Love your results! I did same color with 40 developer my hair is darker so my results are darker. I have become addicted to warm red tones!!!! Look forward to your videos.
I saw this on your blog some time ago when looking for the prefect strawberry blonde. Titian blonde really is what I was looking for so thank you. Going to try adding in some of the liquid gold they sell for summer. Glad to see you have a yt channel, subscribed.
Love, love, LOVE this tutorial! I have been using lightest auburn box by Revlon for years and saw this tutorial and decided to give it a try. I love the color and it stays SO much more vibrant for longer using Wella! Thanks Molly!
Kenzi Russell So happy to hear that, I always wondered if it was too much info to read or watch, so I really appreciate the good feedback on this! Thank you!
I just used the color combo you suggested, and the color is PERFECT!! I was going from bleached blond highlights and a level 7 natural lowlights on top and level 7 uncolored on bottom. Thank you! It's sooo hard to find a natural looking red or strawberry color!
Wow your blog and video have been so helpful and informative along the strawberry blonde journey! Reds are so tricky, have been every single shade of it. As a fun aside it's actually "Titian" red (pronounced like the second syllable of beautician) after Titian, a 16th century painter. He loved redheads! :D Anyway keep up the exceptional work. Really glad I came across the blog.
Virgam Corona Thank you, I'm so glad the blog and my experiences have been helpful! And thank you, someone else had also mentioned that it's pronounced differently and that it's the name of an artist who focused on painting women with red hair. So cool! Thanks again and glad you are a part of the blog :)
Sannah Lundmark I recolor my roots every 4 to 6 weeks. I use a root touch up spray from Rita Hazan in between. I did a full review of it with pics on my blog. I hope this helps!
I just want to thank you for your video. As a fellow woman who has all silver/grey hair it is nice to have found a color that I love. I'm 35 and I'm not ready to embrace being grey.
Beautiful hair, as always. You're like a professional haidresser! I love your hair, and inspired by you I did my own hair strawberry blonde. Next week I'm going to the hairdresser's to do my roots before my wedding. Thank you for your videos :)
Actually have the reddish blonde in my hair as we speak. Can't wait to see the results. My hair color was the same as yours, but less gray. Very pretty,! I had been using the red penny, but can't find it locally and over ordering it. So going the shade up.
Hey, I watched your videos for like 2 weeks before I got the nerve to go strawberry blonde. Thank you so much for your videos. The color came out perfectly beautiful and compliments my skin tone so well. I wouldn't have taken the leap without you and I just wanted to say thank you....(((((hugs)))))
Oh wow, I love reading this! I am so glad the color worked out for you and I get how scary it is to take the plunge. I really hope you keep enjoying the color :)
You have gorgeous hair! So thick & full & that color suits you so well. Great video just what I needed. I’m away for work hundreds of miles from my colorist and my roots are getting out of control! Lol
Hi Molly I'm a basic ash blonde and I was doing a platinum blonde. Since I've been following you on RUclips, I've been doing a strawberry 🍓 blonde because I fell in love 😍 with your color since I've been doing it, I love this color on me and I would still do your "Wella" formula cause I love it ❤️
Thanks for the tutorial. Instead of golden blonde I used light beige blonde and 3/4 of the Titian red tube. I think I’ll use the full two tubes next time, but I think this will fade beautifully. Thanks again!
Oh yeah my question... lol If you left the dye on the length as long as the roots would it be more of that red color at your roots or are they just brighter because of the gray?
Thanks! Grey hair is actually genetic, not related to age. Which I learned when I went grey at 20, haha! Sometimes I think about letting it all grow out, just to see what it would look like...
I can definitely attest to the genetics part - my maternal grandmother was fully grey at 19 or 20 and all of the women on my paternal granddaughter's side of the family started getting grey streaks in their hair in their late teens. I'm 22 and I have a few pretty solid streaks of grey in my hair.
Hi there. I'm in love with your hair color. I will attempt this tomorrow. Right now I have blonde highlights with dark brown roots. Can I use the same process as you by leaving the dye in the roots longer and then combing the dye out to the rest of my hair? Id really appreciate your help. Thank you so much!
Hi Sandy, that's what I would do, just be careful using red dye over highlights, they can turn pinkish. Test a strand first before doing all of them :)
Love it when you give hair dye tips! You are such a pro. This video looks great and makes me want to try this dye! I've been using the loreal excellence creme dye since you recommended it to me but I like how with these you can customize the color!
Kathleen Payton Thank you, Kathleen! The L'Oreal Excellence is great color too, but I do love how you can really customize with the Wella and how rich the red stays!
hi.. your hair is beautiful colour..ive been wanting to go strawberry blonde..for like ages... you've inspired me to do that now..i will definately be trying out these products..thank you..ur so beautiful... would you do video on the makeup your wearing please... its so pretty...thank you...tinaxx
+tina ford HI Tina, You are so nice, thank you. I hope the color comes out beautiful for you. I will definitely recreate this look in another tutorial!
I was wondering can I use 7R Red/Red with the Light golden blonde if I want to make a strawberry blond but richer/darker because I am a bit darker than you?
I would be cautious about mixing true red with any shade that is lighter blonde, it can go peach or pink. If you wanted a darker red, I'd stick with 7R and 7G. :)
Hi Julia, the developer does have ammonia in it, which will cause some damage. Only temporary color that is ammonia-free will be less damaging. But this formula doesn't cause a ton of damage to my hair. And I don't bleach it, which causes the most damage and will make your hair break off if you bleach too frequently. I hope this helps! - Molly
So beautiful! I'm still deciding in between dyeing my hair blonde or a strawberry color.....after seeing this color I think I'm going strawberry! Quick question: So how many ounces of dye you use at the end? 1 light blonde 1 Titian blonde & 4 developer the first time for the roots and for the rest? How many ounces?? Sorry if it's a dumb question...I have never dye my hair and I'm going to do it for the first time at the salon so I won't messed it up but I want to do learn how to do it at home too.....thank you so much for your videos!
+Ninette fernandez So glad this video was helpful!! Here is my post on the different ounces I use, I'm glad you checked because it is important: girlgetglamorous.com/how-to-get-strawberry-blonde-hair-at-home-diy-guide/
I am a natural strawberry blonde, and I loved this video! Thank you! I noticed you listed which eye makeup you are wearing, but not what is on your cheeks--it is very pretty! Would you mind sharing? It would be much appreciated.
I just colored my hair this morning, cuz of. This video I used strawberry blonde Revlon color silk hair alreadi pre lightened it came out great yippy 🎉😊❤
I just tried your color combination and it worked really well for me! It was exciting to mix my own color. Thank you for posting this! I'd love to see a video about how you applied your makeup for this video, specifically your eyeliner. I have not searched your entire blog, but have seen a few of your makeup lessons and think a video would be really helpful for me to understand your eyeliner techniques, and I bet a bunch of other viewers would also be happy to learn it too. Thanks!!
Thank you!! So glad this color worked for you, it's fun to mix up your own color combo, right? I appreciate the eyeliner and makeup video request! I'm working on an eyeliner video, I've gotten a few requests. Thank you again, your comment is so nice!!
Thank you, gorgeous! It is so scary to try a new color for the first time, but I'm so glad I did and I haven't looked back since. Let me know if you go for it!! :)
Thank you, LeAnn! That's so nice of you to say! I am wearing "Sunset" across my lid, "Bliss" in the crease, and "Kitten" under my eyebrow arch. They are all from the Stilla "In the Light" palette. Ill put the palette info in the video description :)
Love the color and your videos. I have heard that using coconut oil on dyed hair causes the color to fade quicker. Have you had any problems with that?
+Elizabeth Deese Hmm, I hadn't heard that! I just put it on the bottom inch or so, so I really haven't had any problems, but that is interesting. I wonder why it makes it fade?
+girlgetglamorous - Molly Can you please write here those two colours and the developer you use as im not able to hear or see it that clearly, thanks!!
Thank you, I appreciate the info on how to pronounce this name! I had not realized that Titan was a painter until I posted this video and someone else mentioned it as well. I looked up his work and it's so stunning, made me really happy to look through.
@@girlgetglamorous I realized that in your next video you corrected it! Sorry to be obnoxious! I love your tutorials. I am a natural redhead who is fading, and it is almost impossible to find information like this:)
Hi! This is a beautiful shade! My hair is more copper now, still on 8 level but more on the orange side. What should I do to achieve this? A bleach bath or something, before the colour? Thanks x
Rouge Vamp I would just do this formula and also use a violet toning shampoo once a week to maintain the Strawberry and avoid orange brassy tones. I hope this helps!
Your hair looks SO pretty. You remind me of Nicole Kidman. My dirty blonde hair lifts super brassy and I'm sick of it so I may just have to give this a try!
becominggirl I was also wondering that. I might try it next time. I'm not a hairdresser, so it's all been trial and error for me. But that does seem smart and also that might help reduce "banding." Will let you know if I do try it!
Hi Molly, This is the exact same hair colour i have always been trying to get, it's really lovely and suits you perfectly ! I have quite a dark base, but i had my hair dyed a couple of months ago a darker coppery red. Would these same products give me the same colour you have? In other words, is your base colour fairly dark to start with? I don't want to end up with yellow hair! Thanks a lot in advance for your advice, Laura.
Los Smith Hi Laura! Thank you so much!! I love this color too. My hair is 95% grey, so you might need to use a higher level developer if your hair is naturally more brunette or darker. If you go into Sally's they usually have someone of the staff who is licensed to color hair and can help you get the right developer level. I hope it comes out great!
I currently use the Loreal 8rb that you had I your other video. I love the color, but it does fade fast. How do you like the combination from wella in this video compared to the Loreal?
Brianna Barnes I love how pretty the L'Oreal is at first, but it does fade so fast. I find that the Wella lasts several weeks longer without fading. I hope this info helps!
Hi, April! I am not a licensed colorist, so I can't give any color advice, just show my own results. And I'd be so scared to advise someone about bleach, as it can really damage hair. I hope that makes sense :)
Thank you! It's genetics, I guess, everyone is my family started going grey in their late teens/early twenties! I'm the only one who colors my hair in the fam...
Thank you for sharing your formula! I’m a natural blonde who is going to be heavily highlighted end toned with a semi permanent red toner. I’m licensed (esthetician), so I can defiantly purchase toner freely for touching up, but I wanted to ask what shampoo/conditioner you use?
Hi Molly. It did pretty well. my hair was around 8.0 but my natural hair is black so every dye is always darker on my hair. I used 9.0 + Schwarzkopf Professional Igora Royal 9.5-18 Rose with 30vol and it ended light and a little copper. I liked it. Next time I will try again Rose with 10.0 so it will be even lighter. I hope someday I can have your pretty awesome color!!
I did what you did exactly, and it turned out great, except three inches from my tips up stayed more lighter red blonde,my hair is very pource and damaged. What do you recommend to make my hair on the ends upward more red like the rest of my hair?
I have a T28 natural blonde toner and just ordered the red toner you recommended. I hope that works!
Oh my gosh!! She looks like a model. She is flawless!!
Ashley Key Thank you, xoxo!
you are gorgeous and I love how you talk to the point without telling us your life story what you eat...(like others do) your video was very helpful. Thanks
+laleh n (Leah) Thank you, Laleh, I'm glad this video was helpful! xo

+Brianna Walter Thank you!! I hope it comes out amazing for you!
As a natural strawberry blonde, this colour looks so natural on you. It's so hard to get dyed red hair to look natural but it looks fab on you.
Thank you, Linda, you are so kind to say that! :). And SO lucky to be a natural Strawberry Blonde!
Most helpful strawberry blonde tutorial of all time

I LOVE LOVE LOVE WELLA COLOR CHARM!!! I'm so glad you like it, too. It's the best, I swear. Never ever will I return to those icky boxed red colors!
Yay, so glad you like Wella! It also fades SO much less than other brands I've noticed.
I love strawberry blonde the best blonde shade 😍
I just dyed my hair because of this video! I had bleached platinum hair so I had to change the formula a bit. Hi Peyton, Thank you for sharing! I'm so happy to hear this worked out for you!!
I have bleached hair with about an inch of dark blonde roots grown out. would I have to bleach the roots first? and if so, how long would I need to wait before dying?
@girlgetglamorous I'm A Strawberry Blonde But Turning 50 This Year...Its Really Fading, And I'm Soooo Trying This!!! So Excited!!!
Payton did you do a tutorial or have a pic?

It's such a flattering hair color, right? It warms up the skin so nicely. Yours sounds like it turned out beautiful!!
You got this color absolutely perfect! Love the end result.
Strawberry blonde is totally your color! I loved how you used coconut oil on your ends prior to dying.
barbarella026 Thank you! And yes that coconut oil has saved my hair. I love curling irons and flat irons so my ends are happy I love coconut oil too, haha!
I'm 33 yrs old and 90 percent gray to. I'm trying your formula because this color is freakin gorgeous ❤️

Thanks for the tutorial. Instead of golden blonde I used light beige blonde and 3/4 of the Titian red tube. I think I’ll use the full two tubes next time, but I think this will fade beautifully. Thanks again!
Glad you experimented a bit! I think that's so helpful to getting the perfect shade for your skin tone and hair!!

girlgetglamorous - Molly the grey would look nice if you were to grow it out
well it's also related to age...everybody goes grey eventually :) some as early as teenagers though

@shari h. You can get it in store or online!
you so beautiful ! ❣from Russia )
girlgetglamorous - does this bleach your hair or damage it a lot
Here is my post on the different ounces I use, I'm glad you checked because it is important: girlgetglamorous.com/how-to-get-strawberry-blonde-hair-at-home-diy-guide/

i really like your hair color ! and you dont look like you ever were grey at all you look young !!
ABSOLUTELY gorgeous
I am a natural strawberry blonde, and I loved this video! Thank you!
I noticed you listed which eye makeup you are wearing, but not what is on your cheeks--it is very pretty! Would you mind sharing? It would be much appreciated.
+Dee A Thank you, Dee! I am trying to remember, I think it might be the Too Faced sweethearts blush in Peach Beach: rstyle.me/n/bh4wd2bb7df
+girlgetglamorous - Molly THANK YOU!!
It looks beautiful! 🦋
Thank you, so kind for you to say!
I just colored my hair this morning, cuz of. This video I used strawberry blonde Revlon color silk hair alreadi pre lightened it came out great yippy 🎉😊❤
Also what products do you use to maintain this? It's so pretty
wow you look amazing!! it really suits you, i loved the video
Stefani Gomes thank you so much! I love this color too!! That's sweet of you to say! ❤️
Omg love this color. I wish my hair looked like this 😍
Thank you! I really appreciate you saying that! :)
I so want that color, but I am terrified to dye my hair. been blonde my whole life. That color is gorgeous!!!
Thank you, gorgeous! It is so scary to try a new color for the first time, but I'm so glad I did and I haven't looked back since. Let me know if you go for it!! :)
Molly Gardner I am doing it tomorrow. Wish me luck. Been blonde since birth, but bored with it. I hope I look as beautiful as you do
fairmaiden88 I hope it comes out beautiful!!!
I can not believe you have grey?! So pretty and hope this works for me.
Ha, thanks, I can't believe it either until every 3 weeks when it grows in, haha! I hope the color works beautifully for you!
Omg girl your so young how thenhell did you get them grays???
You are my official HAIR GODDESS!
lol I would have just assumed that this was your natural color really good job
You are so pretty and you have the best hair! What eyeshadow are you wearing in this video? It really makes your eye color pop!
LeAnn
Thank you, LeAnn! That's so nice of you to say! I am wearing "Sunset" across my lid, "Bliss" in the crease, and "Kitten" under my eyebrow arch. They are all from the Stilla "In the Light" palette. Ill put the palette info in the video description :)
You have that Marcia Brady type of beauty, you’re GORGEOUS.
That is so incredibly nice of you to say, thank you!!
So gorgeous, that color looks great on you. Thanks for sharing, truly gorgeous! Rock on and blessings :-)
+J Martell Thank you!
+girlgetglamorous - Molly Can you please write here those two colours and the developer you use as im not able to hear or see it that clearly, thanks!!
Love your videos, thanks so much! ❤
Thank you!
Your hair looks SO pretty. You remind me of Nicole Kidman. My dirty blonde hair lifts super brassy and I'm sick of it so I may just have to give this a try!
Thank you!! Let me know if you try it and how the color comes out!
I have natural strawberry blonde hair but I think u look amazing with it:)
Thank you!
Great video! I was wondering if it would be better to use a 10 developer on the ends of your hair since you are just depositing color?
becominggirl I was also wondering that. I might try it next time. I'm not a hairdresser, so it's all been trial and error for me. But that does seem smart and also that might help reduce "banding." Will let you know if I do try it!
Would this work on my roots?! They are a medium brown and my hair is bleached medium blonde. You look amazing!
How do you do this if my hair is bleached blond and roots are 2 inches dark brown?
Hi Molly,
This is the exact same hair colour i have always been trying to get, it's really lovely and suits you perfectly ! I have quite a dark base, but i had my hair dyed a couple of months ago a darker coppery red. Would these same products give me the same colour you have? In other words, is your base colour fairly dark to start with? I don't want to end up with yellow hair!
Thanks a lot in advance for your advice,
Laura.
You should do this formula on little test stands of hair. Like for those who bleached their hair
Have you ever tried 8NG and 8Rg?
Hi, April! I am not a licensed colorist, so I can't give any color advice, just show my own results. And I'd be so scared to advise someone about bleach, as it can really damage hair. I hope that makes sense :)
@@girlgetglamorous what percentage of grey are tou? :)
Your hair color is so beautiful!!! =)
Thank you, Flavia, you are so kind!!
I cant find any Wella colour charm here in the uk or France, :(
how in the world can you have 90% gray? you look so goooooood
Thank you! It's genetics, I guess, everyone is my family started going grey in their late teens/early twenties! I'm the only one who colors my hair in the fam...
Thank you for sharing your formula! I’m a natural blonde who is going to be heavily highlighted end toned with a semi permanent red toner. I’m licensed (esthetician), so I can defiantly purchase toner freely for touching up, but I wanted to ask what shampoo/conditioner you use?
so pretty and a very nice color goes great with your eyes...
Thank you, that's so nice of you to say!
hi love the color:) how often do you recolor your hair?:)
+Sannah Lundmark Hi Sannah, I color about every 4- 6 weeks!
I think I'm gonna try this with my own formula and your sugestions this weekend. I hope it turns out well. wish me luck ^^
Hi Vanessa! How did it turn out? xo Molly
Super gorgeous!
Thank you, Jenn!
