Oh man, Aemond's scenes in the finale are going to be insane. He will probably become the most hated character by most fans, but not me. Every week I find myself loving even him more. Not only is he badass but he is a fascinating, conflicting character

If I have to choose I would say I'm more team green but that doesn't mean I don't love characters like Daemon, or Aemon and understand in a way where they are coming from

I love the contrast between the envy and disappointment Aemond obviously feels towards Aegon and his willingness to do whatever it takes to help and protect his family, Aegon included. There's definitely echoes there of the Daemon/Viserys dynamic I think - "I will speak of my brother as I wish... you will not."
Storm's End next week is gonna be a treat.

I did not know who this actor was on the red carpet but when I saw him as the grown Aemond I recognized him as that unknown actor to me. He has such a presence and he is only 20 so he is about to really take off. I looked him up after I saw him with the best WIG on in the series and the walk he has with all that SWAG. EWAN MITCHELL, I WILL REMEMBER HIS NAME BECAUSE I KNOW I AM NOT GOING TO LIKE HIS CHARACTER BUT HIS ACTING IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE MAGNIFICENT IN THIS ROLE.

Because Aemond is dutiful and faithful to his immediate family! He’ll do some cruel things but he’ll always be there for his family first, while Daemon only does what’s best for himself, he killed his wife and had sex with his underage niece so that he can marry her since she was named heir to the throne

The reason I like Aemond as a worthy candidate is not cause he envies and feels unfair but because compared to Aegon and Rhaenyra he actually is far more skilled than them which is a pity cause neither Rhaenyra or Aegon think of the importance of the throne. Daemon and Aemond were always the best choice for the throne but unfortunately both were second sons.
You know it's crazy because technically only Aemond WANTS the throne Aegon and Rhaenyra kinda had it thrown at them. So why not just pass it along to him instead of all the fighting especially if it's something you never even wanted. I heard in the trailer Rhaenyra mention it to Daemon and I think that's because she doesn't want the crown or to HAVE to go against her brothers they could always just bend the knee to Aemond and let him deal with all the ungrateful ppl who really don't care which one of them sits on the iron throne. It would have saved lives, time, and resources but it also might have saved a family.

I get that but daemon was a second son and was visarys heir. I understand that if the first son can't or won't take the throne it goes to the next son which would have been Aemond. If Rhaenyra AND Aegon released their claim it could go to Aemond. I'm not saying they are obviously but those TWO didn't want the crown Aemond does.
@@83Catch22 Why should she reclaim her throne to give it to her SECOND brother? Who assaulted her kids and called them bastards? Also Rhaenyra has never showed any kinship to her brothers at all and neither her half-sister...she calls them "Your kids'' to Alicent and not my brother and sister. She doesn't claim them as a family, like Viserys also thought of her as his only child. Plus it's what her father wanted until his dying day, for her to be queen. Also AEMOND is actually wrong to assume that he was the next in line to the throne, even if Aegon didn't want the throne, it would go on to his son Jaeharys, not Aemond. In any case, giving up the throne to any of the greens means surrending to Otto and living at HIS mercy.

Well her kids ARE bastards no getting around that I mean an ace is an ace. But your right I do understand the half siblings thing myself I have two older brothers that I basically know nothing about so I get her there. And I for one sure as shit wouldn't want Otto thinking or actually winning anything up on me myself so that is also a good point but at the end of the day my question 🤔 is would things have been different for her if she bent the knee and released her claim in order to save her life and that of her kids cause let's face it majority of her children die in this war. It's so sad cause look what it did to Aegon the younger since he witnessed so much death at such a young age all for the seat on the iron throne. Now I don't know if have children but I'd pick my kids over my father's hopes and dreams any day of the week. No offense to others but just being honest.

Had Viserys paid attention to his children with Alicent n tried to bring his family together, had Rhaenyra tried to mend the strained relatnshp betwn Alicent or tried to connect with her half siblings, Alicent's fear n paranoia, thos years of buildup animosity between the halfsiblings wouldn't have happened in the first place? Viserys literally did nothing when his own son got disfigured n lost a whole eye for life for rightfully claiming a dragon. He ignored his pain n focused on his golden child and her bastards. Tho it was a child fight n eye for an eye wasn't possible he could've atlst repremanded them? He would rather hide the truth n make Nyra's illegitimate children ascend the throne instead of his own true born sons. Those children weren't dumb, they could see the biasness of their father, their mothers fear, Nyra's treatment towrds them thn there's Otto like can y'all even blame them

Him being driven by emotions, caused him to make some serious mistakes too. I actually hope the show showcases some of Aegons qualities...cause right now. Feels like the show is trying to ruin his character.

i do wanna support Aegon because all the things that he did until now may not seem like the most honorable or kind things that he has done..,
but if we THINK according to him all he did was right.... he was not made the king even that would've been right..
he got an eye stolen...
and nobody even gives a shit about it...
but when he killed luceryrs
it changed my opinion because even in the times of WAR he didn't think that just because of this mistake he could start a war...
he had no love for his cousin's, and yes i know he was imparted from his one eye
still I loved luceryrs as a character and i liked when they started showing more and more of him his relation between him and his mother was so heartwarming...
and i am sure people would have loved to see him and Jacaerys (his brother)
grow together.....
so all i am trying to say is that Aemond does not think before his actions and is too evil for me even though he is very cool and stands out from other characters but if we logically think he just wants the damm thrones like everyone else...

Okay here’s the spoilers
“The beast beneath the boards” is a reference to two men named Blood and Cheese. As revenge for the killing of Rhaenyras son Luke, Daemon hires Blood and Cheese to kill one of King Aegon’s sons. Blood and Cheese sneak into the castle using the hidden paths in the red keep and then hold Queen Halaena and Alicent hostage along with all Halaenas kids. They make Halaena pick which one of her sons she wants to die, and she picks her youngest. Then they kill her oldest son in front of her and leave
@@BIastwave. oh i know about this blood and cheese but isn't they always said that dragon= beast? So I don't think the beast beneath the board is BnC. Beside when helaena talk about beast beneath the board is after she talked to her maid about 'craving and wanting something that belong to another', so these two dreams or visions I think takes the same scenes which is during aegon crowned session. Crave and wanting talking about aemond who wanted the crown and he thinks he is suitable to be the king instead his brother, then beast beneath the board talking about rhaenys and her dragon. It is connected to eo in the same place and the same time in the same scenes.
