you don't need to, DHCP server provided by the router is already intelligent to check if there is an allocated before "lease" the ip addr to a new peer ;)

I recommend using wan port rather than lan port because if you have an old router it might sometimes disconnect so i recommend using the wan port rather the lan port if your using an old router thank me later. ❤
I think that's what I said as well. Connect ethernet cable to the WAN port of the old router and to the LAN port of the main router. If you connect it to the LAN port of the old router, it will not connect only most likely.
So after you configure the old router and finish all the steps , it will work as a mesh ( sharing same network and n password)

You actually don't have to use the access point mode. I have an Archer A6 router connected to the main Jio Fiber router and while setting up the A6, I chose router in the operation mode settings. When it asked for connection type, I chose dynamic IP. The router has been working in this config perfectly fine since 1 year and 10 months. Also did the same with an old Mi 3c and it worked without any issues in case of that router as well. Please try it out before spreading misinformation.

I don't think you can do that with the landline but yes, you can connect the TP link router as a secondary router. I use my TP Link Archer A6 as the secondary router to my JioFiber router.

Since you'll be working in Amazon, I am guessing you'll be working with a laptop. The laptop would probably have an ethernet port. You can buy an ethernet cable amzn.to/3VPKpFc This variant is 50 feet long (about 16 metres) and costs around 300 rupees, so see if you can run this cable between those two rooms. If you need a longer cable, check from other companies that offer 30 metre, 40 metre, 50 metre or longer cables. Here's one amzn.to/4cTHt16 In the name of the cable, you'll find words like cat 5, cat 5e, cat 6. You most probably won't need cat 6, so by getting a cat 5e cable (like the first link), you'll be able to save some money.
Once you have got the cable, connect one end of the cable to the router's LAN port (there will be multiple LAN ports and they will all have the same colour, maybe yellow), and connect the other end of the LAN cable to the ethernet port of your laptop.

Without Ethernet cable, the distance wouldn't necessarily be more. In fact, in most cases, it'll be less. Your router over 2.4 GHz band would have a range of about 10-15 metres and if there are walls in between, it'll be worse. On the other hand, you can buy a long ethernet cable (30-40 metres) and use that to extend the range and having walls between the routers won't matter then.

I've not tried it with AP mode, but I did set up Mi 3c over LAN with my TP-Link router. Used dynamic IP as the connection type on both Archer A6 and Mi 3c. No speed drop. If you have to connect two routers and you can connect over LAN, do that instead of wireless.

Do this. First format the D-Link router. Then configure using dynamic IP. Next go to the network settings (that's what it should be called hopefully) of your D-Link router and change the router IP address from 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 (or whatever it is) to something else that you can remember like 192.168.11.1. Hopefully this will fix the issue. From what I understood, both your TP link router and D-Link router have the same IP address and that's causing a conflict. Let me know if it works.

See, do tarike hai. Jaise kuch logo ne comment kiya hai, repeater mode mein daalne se woh double NAT ka problem nahi hoga. Iss setting mein aapko second router ka alag koi network nahi milega, ek hi network extend ho jaayega same name ke saath. Lekin agar independent network chahiye doosra for more control, toh second ek network banake usmein password dal sakte hai.

If a CCTV camera can connect to WiFi, that'll probably be for remote monitoring. I think you might want that?
Anyway, You can connect the CCTV to the router without internet. Just open your router's setting and disable internet access for the CCTV cam. Or just switch on the old router and create a network and don't connect this old router to the main router.

Could be that your broadband provider is blocking this sites. You could try changing the DNS to Cloudflare (your browser settings will have an option called "secure DNS" or "private DNS", enable it and change it to Cloudflare. Alternatively, consider using a decent VPN.

Kaunse type ka cable (cat 5, cat 6, etc.) hai uske upar depend karta hai. Maine recently 50 feet ke cat 5e cable se try kiya tha and it worked fine with that.

By WiFi receiver if you mean a WiFi repeater, then yes, but latency will increase and speed will be halved. You need to reset the Mi router and while setting it up, there'll be an option to set it up as a wireless repeater.

Haan. Set up karne ke time pe router mode choose karke setup karna hoga with dynamic or static IP config. Dynamic IP mode choose karna easier hoga thora I guess. Then iss router ke setting mein jaake WiFi network on karna and password koi accha waala rakh dena.

Xiaomi ka ye waala router hai toh wireless range extender ka option hoga. Aap usse uae kar sakte hai. Nahi toh aap Google mein apna routers ka name type karke "WDS Bridging" likhiye. Aapko guide mil jaayega. Lekin wirelessly connect karne se speed down ho jayega aur latency badh jaayega, so woh yaad rakhne waali baat hai.

Your current router doesn't have a port for the fiber connection. The router the internet provider is talking about will have a port for the fiber cable. Many (and I think most) ISPs provide a compatible router for free like what Jio and Airtel do. If you are getting from some other ISP, they may be asking you to invest in something like ONT. You can connect the ONT to your existing router and it'll work like before (you may get less than advertised speed, though, depending on a number of factors).

What is dynamic IP ?
If you go to Google and search for "what is my IP", you'll see one IP today and another IP after let's say 15 days. The IP address changes after some interval for residential customers, hence the name dynamic IP (it changes, is dynamic and not static).

The router should have a hole somewhere beside which it will say "Reset". If you can't find it, refer to the paper manual. If you can't find that manual, Google or Bing or DuckDuckGo search "How to reset ?"

I get what you're saying but it's not deceiving actually. Many people don't understand Hindi, by having the English text I can ensure that these people aren't completely left out. Also many people may not understand pronunciation of some words, so the English text can be useful then. Think of a movie in French, Korean, German or any foreign language - the audio doesn't match the English subtitles, but you don't stop watching content just for that reason.
Thats correct that I wouldn't stop watching a foreign movie with english subtitles, But my brother you don't have any english subtitles for me to read. There is only an option. For 'auto generated Hindi subtitles'. So I can see your text letting me know what your video is about, but I have to way of understanding the message you are conveying to the audience. Imagine if you filmed this video exactly the same, your hand motions, close up camera angles, all that, but you keep your mouth closed and never make a sound, how would we have any idea what you are trying to tell us, you know what I mean?

Same process. Format the Cisco router (I'm assuming you're talking about using it to extend the range). Then Setup ke time pe choose dynamic IP.

@@neeleshchatterjeeofficial Haan toh cisco ke router ko pehle reset karo. If you don't know how to do that, you can Google search "Cisco manual" or "Cisco reset" and you'll get instructions. Then take an ethernet cable and connect one end to the LAN port of your main router and the other end of the cable to the WAN port of your Cisco router. Set up Cisco router and when it asks about connection type, choose Dynamic IP. Follow the other on-screen instructions and you should be done.
