  • Tech company CrowdStrike is not a household name and most people have probably never heard of it before the global meltdown on Jul 19, 2024. But the firm is a powerhouse in the cybersecurity industry - using cutting edge technology like AI to monitor and prevent cyberattacks. CNA's Toni Waterman has more on the company from outside its global headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Crowdstrike demonstrated how vulnerable your country is to US gov. Better to diversify OS. Microsoft is not safe.

Most companies don't use Microsoft and other OSes also have CrowdStrike, prone to the same type of problem occurring. No OS is safe.

So Crowdstrike has complete full access to your data.... And are able to pass the data to say.... Cia ?

not really no, Crowdstrike has "i guess full" access to the core building files of windows, so they can implement as strong as much security system to prevent malware attacks, now that has downsides and one of them just happened, which is they can alter these core files making the windows system failing over and over, the solution is simple, which is windows has the ability to revert back to how was the files before any updates.

@@haroldcruz8550 the company has access to all your files not the cyber company, the company has access to all the core files. the structure, not your personal files, I mean there are no personal files to be exact since you are using corporate workstations.
and Cybersecurity companies are bound by agreements that they cant access certain directories, they can but they wont, cause breach of contract between companies are huge especially these aviation companies

George Kurtz, the boss of a worldwide cybersecurity company, CrowdStrike office the problems started because of a "bug" in a "software update" for Microsoft Windows gadgets. Microsoft has said it's implementing "mitigation actions" to fix the "continuing problems" caused by the issue.
“The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed,” George Kurtz earlier said.
