New Mexico. A State Police officer who was Not Crooked was set up by his own department and was Ambushed by a known drug lord criminal after his own told him to pull over a certain truck. The young State Police officer was NOT informed about this hardened Criminal or how dangerous he was! This young Police officer left a wife and 5 small children!

My deepest condolences to anyone that lost a friend or family member in the line of duty today in Burnsville Minnesota. I myself am not brave enough to do what these 3 heroes chose daily... it takes a special kind of person to be a first responder 🙏

Prayers from my family goes to the families of these fine officers. As a former citizen of the Burnsville area i am shocked to hear this very sad news today. I always felt more then safe while living in Burnsville. This type of news happens all to often these days and it needs to STOP!

This was a failed negotiation. The worst outcome. The officers were put in harms way to give the shooter every opportunity for a peaceful resolution. The "violence prevention specialists" didn't work.

This should have not happened. Poor leadership on this. Barricaded subject with firearms…. Paramedics should have been staged a couple of blocks away while swat is on post as front line responders working on the situation. It will be interesting to see the full story. RIP to the brothers in Blue.

Why were the firefighters that close to a scene that wasn't secure? The very first thing we were taught in EMT school is the importance of scene safety. This is a failure of training and SOP, they never should have been that close to a barricaded shooter.
