This version of the haka beats ka mate kora hands down. The crowd were electric. The response from England was superb. Just the best haka I've ever seen.
Yes I agree. England were very prepared and were very strong. The smirks were just examples of their extreme confidence. The Haka doesn’t scare teams into losing or make them “cry” utter BS. Less competent teams lose against the ABs it has nothing to do with the Haka.
It wasn't a smirk. He was interacting with the haka. A smirk denotes disrespect or arrogance, which he wasn't displaying. He was probably enjoying the challenge the haka represents and feeling his own energy of accepting the challenge. Not a smirk

Yeah, it kinda looked like he knew that NZ didn't have a chance, and I'm a SA supporter hehe. I would put money on England to beat SA if they overcome Wales. However, SA are also still improving.
The position England took up by surrounding the haka made the haka look less significant. In fact I think England made the haka look fairly tame by their positions. They were that wide the kiwis didnt where to pull the faces. and Farrell's smirk was him just laughing at them. ..fair play england. Irish man here delighted with the result.
I disagree I think the Māori Hama is extremely disrespectful to their opponents, expecting grown tough men to stand there and look at this nonsense without retaliation. Also the haka is getting pretty old, come up with something else NZ or give it away.
@simonengland6448 Yep. NZ gets to pump themselves up while their warmed up opponents have to stand there like zombies. It's totally unfair. The haka should be confined to NZ domestic rugby. A test match is not an advert in a NZ tourism campaign.

This is (in my opinion) the most spine tingling haka of all time. The Maori war cry's were terrifying at the start.. perenara absolutely nailed it. This version of the haka beats ka mate kora hands down. The crowd were electric. The response from England was superb. Just the best haka I've ever seen.

Terrifying 😂😂😂😂😂🤦♂️
That smirk was more scarier than the haka, it was like that off a psychopath serial killer before they kill their prey.
I disagree.
Of course your gonna smirk, what other options do you have? Look scared? Cry?
He looked like Steven Gerrard about to Gerrymander the deck against Olympiakos
Yes I agree. England were very prepared and were very strong. The smirks were just examples of their extreme confidence. The Haka doesn’t scare teams into losing or make them “cry” utter BS. Less competent teams lose against the ABs it has nothing to do with the Haka.
It wasn't a smirk. He was interacting with the haka. A smirk denotes disrespect or arrogance, which he wasn't displaying. He was probably enjoying the challenge the haka represents and feeling his own energy of accepting the challenge. Not a smirk
Kenny Boyle i mean england hasnt fucked us over this bad since england raped & killed our people lmao.

Fear.
jaja is that why he’ll be in a World Cup final?
He is the England captain. England eventually won the game and it was them being fearless.
Owen Farrell, captain, legend, chief giver of smirks and wry smiles.
jaja he is fear mate. That was the look of pure confidence. Cold look through the whole dance. NZ lost before the game even started.
England's high watermark under Jones. Possibly the best performance I've ever seen from them since they toured the SH in 2002.
Is this the 2019 semi? Wow. I live in France. The day after I was locked out of my local bar as they saw me coming with my England rugby 🏴 top on. It was only a joke and they let me in. I was full of it. Great banter.
Farrel smirking at 0:51 is bloody amazing
The V formation was Hannibal’s strategy at the Battle of Cannae when his army overcame a much larger Roman army. The symbolism isn’t missing here.
Lord Mamba nice spot! Vs pull in energy, England were literally vampires sucking the energy out of the Hakka, hence the result and performance....
Hannibal stole it from Emilio Estevez when he did the flying V in the mighty ducks
Hannibal used a standard formation and the faked a rout in the middle, then let the wings envelope the Romans. No V.
Sorry....hannibal at cannae used
The collapsing bag tactic.
Like another poster here says
A long carthaginian line
Centre weakened in favour of the flanks.
Centre ordered to give ground slowly......flanks ordered to hold firm....cavalry ordered to seal the bag.
80 000 Romans trapped in a slaughter of which 10 000
Managed to cut themselves free.
Pretty sure the battle of Cannae was just a normal flanking manouvre, the impressive thing about it was that it was done on a larger force, if I'm not mistaken.
Farrell's smirk gets me every time its just screaming "I'm gonna make you suffer"
Yeah, it kinda looked like he knew that NZ didn't have a chance, and I'm a SA supporter hehe. I would put money on England to beat SA if they overcome Wales. However, SA are also still improving.
@@chris5240 I reckon it will be close with SA v WAL, SA have been playing well this WC
I don’t care about his smirk 👎
The position England took up by surrounding the haka made the haka look less significant. In fact I think England made the haka look fairly tame by their positions. They were that wide the kiwis didnt where to pull the faces. and Farrell's smirk was him just laughing at them.
..fair play england. Irish man here delighted with the result.
The Australian Health Show 😂😂😂😂😂

I disagree I think the Māori Hama is extremely disrespectful to their opponents, expecting grown tough men to stand there and look at this nonsense without retaliation. Also the haka is getting pretty old, come up with something else NZ or give it away.
