- Regarded today as iconic, almost mythical, the TAMA Mastercraft 14"x 6.5" Bell Brass snare drum made its debut in 1980. Now often referred to as “The Terminator,” this drum captured the attention of drummers, engineers, and music fans the world over due to its remarkable and pure tone. Today, the original is among the most sought-after in the industry. As part of TAMA’s 50th Anniversary collection, the reissue of this highly prized drum will join the regular (not limited) product line. TAMA is proud to reintroduce this masterpiece, allowing contemporary drummers to obtain and play a piece of music history.

Kudos to the doctors and lawyers who are able to afford this and buy it.
Tama doesn't care about affordability anymore.
@@MikeHawk-tz9of +1 to that!
These Bell Brass snare drums were expensive back in 1980, too. Just sayin'.
@@nonahyobusiness8063 they were 4k?
@@nonahyobusiness8063 I totally agree - I would expect them (the new reissue) to be expensive, but more like $1500-$2000, which... c'mon... is already a crazy amount to be spending on just a snare... but $4K ?!? Whose got that kind of money? (but lawyers and doctors). At that price, if I owned one, I'd never want to go out and use it live... it would be what guitarists call a "case queen"
This bell brass snare drum retails for $5,599.99 CAD. LMFAO Are you guys out of your mind!?
hihi!!! i got mine and i m just a working man!! playin drums since 78 and decided to reward me. 4000 euros though
Not sure it justifies a $4000 price tag? I mean the 40th anniversary edition, which I liked better personally, was $1700! That’s some serious inflation!
When I bought the 40th Anniversary Tama bell brass, I received a certificate that says it was a limited edition, and then Tama goes and reissues the same snare. So what is the purpose of their certificates if they violate the purpose of the certificate? . Now they found a need to reissue it as a 50th anniversary snare at 2x the price.
Please keep making this for as long as there’s demand!
I've decided I want one 😍
Alright @Tama 😎✌️👌
I'll take you up on that Endorsement Deal now😊🎖️🕺
My Tama 40th anniversary bell brass was around $2,000 and came with a case. What changed in 10 years? Is there some kind of competition to make the most expensive bell brass snare?
"What changed in 10 years?"
Inflation? Global economic meltdowns? The housing crisis? The strength of the dollar continually in flux?
Ok then how can Gretsch make a cast bronze snare for $1,000@@viktormuerte
Gretsch is Brass shell. But still a great snare@femaledeer
Extortionately priced.
I'm amazed tama finally came to its senses and gave the people what they want, I haven't bought a tama drum since they ditched the coffin style lugs for whatever they use now, people should realize you are looking at what once used to be the best drum company, and they have potential to get back to that position if they actually listen to their fans and supporters for once
Been playing Tama since 1985. Those coffin lugs are the WORST for durability. The mounting posts always distort and snap off. I keep a stash of Swingstar "staircase" lugs around to replace the old coffin lugs. They hold up much better!
@richiecomia2547 yea but they look so 😎
@@richiecomia2547 I unbolted all the lugs on the snare, tom, and floor tom turning my superstar set into a noble & cooley style tuning that has fattened and deepened the tone.
$4000!?!?
😎🇺🇸♥️🇯🇵🥁🔊🎼 I think they finally got it right!
Nevermind, Black Album & RATM sound!!!! L.E.G.E.N.D....
This is awesome news. Sounds super good in the video !! Add to cart !!
YES MARIO, and a great snare
i order one today been saving but only had $3000 had to go scrap up $1100 more
Keplinger is a more affordable ( and arguably better ) option.
Mfs who paid double the price month ago biting their knuckles
$4000 comes with metal washers...pathetic
"Same process" not really true, it's not sandcast
They just have 50 everything.
Ummm… and it makes a great gift too!
Very cool and faithful new share
OMG! Allways Tama 🔥
Amazing!
😮😮😮 🔥🥁
i love Tama
OH MY GOD YES
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I love it!!
Stop! I don´t want to see a reissue from the Kingbeat 14" x 6.5" because I´m gonna have to order it
The 8056 won't do? ruclips.net/video/Ibn7TUiqsOo/видео.html
4,000? No thanks. If anybody is interested, gretsch makes a bell brass for a quarter of the price at 1k. Tama does not care about its supporters only milking as much money as they can off collectors.
the gretsch is a great drum but this is cast, not compatible in sound and far more expensive to make. you don’t have to buy it, but the cast tama bell brass is the best rock snare drum of all time.
@reynlord666 it's definitely good man, but with all the technology we have today there is no way this should be 4k and many people seem to agree.
How can anyone be a collector of Tama, if they constantly reissue everything, including drums they initially sold as limited editions?
That gretch is a 1mm sheetmetal shell.
@krusher74 yea and it literally sound the same if not better
