Hirotoshi: “Artillery shells can do nothing to stop it. This animal has survived for eons. Atomic weapons and energy have given it extraordinary capacities for survival. But it's still an animal and it can still be defeated. But, I repeat, not with any weapons. This animal represents the collective will to survive of many thousands of people.” Yuri: “Collective will?” Hirotoshi: “This animal contains the restless souls of the countless people who perished during the terrible battles that took place during the Pacific conflict.” Yuri: “Their souls? In Godzilla?” Hirotoshi: “In Godzilla, the souls of all those people have combined to bring life to the monster. Believe me, I have tried to warn people but they refused to listen. They think I'm mad.” Yuri: “But tell me, why does Godzilla keep attacking Japan? Why does it want to destroy us?” Hirotoshi: “Because the Japanese people want to forget what happened... They have deemed it preferable to forget the pain and agony they inflicted on all those people!”
@@ComXDude And if it weren't for that, Bataan, Unit 731, and what the Japanese did to their own people at Saipan probably didn't do them any favors either. I love how so much of Shin is "We were bullied by everyone else in World War II" and Kaneko all the way back in 2001 was saying "Yes, and we absolutely deserved it."
@@zillafire101 Which it demonstrates by also not caring about its people. The film's message is delivered with the subtlety of a brick through a window. My favorite scene, other than all the times various characters look directly at the camera and say "Japan should do as it pleases" is when Rando and Patterson are talking about the US's plans for dealing with Shin, and Patterson waxes on about how unfair it is for Japan to get nuked again _for no reason_ while the film literally flashes pictures of Hiroshima on screen, as if the situations are in any way the same.
One of the most terrifying Godzilla incarnations deserves an equally haunting yet powerful theme, and this soundtrack more than delivered! This motif radiates power and terror like not many other themes for the character can. All you can hear is the sense of impending doom and the wrath of countless vengeful spirits.
My second favorite Godzilla theme next to the original! Kow Otani did such an amazing job with this movie. I can even hear his Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack in some of the instrumentation.
I love this theme! It definitely gives the feeling of malevolence and power for Godzilla. And it definitely figured that it was so talentedly done, as Kow Otani also did the soundtracks for the Gamera Trilogy films, which were epically arranged as well.
I know he's a bit of a packaged deal with Shusuke Kaneko but I'm a bit miffed we never got Ko Otani on another Godzilla film, because this is one of my favorite scores. That said, *all* the Millenium era scores are good.
This Face of GOJIRA OR GODZILLA IS THE MOST FEARSOME OF ALL LOOKING AT YOU STRAIGHT IN YOUR EYES... YOU'LL HAVE ENDLESS NIGHTMARES.. TOHO CORPORATION DID THE THE BEST MOVIE SEQUEL... I HAVE A DVD COPY OF THIS MOVIE GMK... NICELY DONE😊😊😊 TOHO... BANZAI NIPPON BANZAI... 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
Just came across your channel and hearing all of these themes mixed together to smoothly transitioned is so beautifuly well done. Gave me goosebumps. Amazing work!
Because Mothra and Ghidorah's themes are in the middle, I'm only including the bits with Godzilla's theme for the sake of the suite. Would sound off with the other character themes left in

Nanking alone probably provided enough suffering to reanimate this Goji

@@AJadedLizard When did Shin say that? Shin was mostly "Shinso Abe sucks and the government doesn’t care about its people".

This is by far the best version of Gmk's theme, freaking outstanding man

“MV Godzilla is a menace-“🤡
“No- Showa Goji is a menace-“🤓
Gmk goji:
The only time I was truly scared of Godzilla
same, until Godzilla minus 1
I love the “Escape from Godzilla” theme, it sounds like nuclear sirens ringing in the background while Godzilla’s theme plays at full force

I wanna see how this creature will evolve into a super godzilla totally indestructable and fearsome in all combined...

Why is that picture scary is it to you?

Oh
It looks like king ghidorah is the hero at the movie

😂
why did you have to edit godzilla's rage?
