I think the old school digimon cards bring back greater nostalgia over pokemon if i'm honest. Seeing you pull those original style alt arts makes me want to get in on this too!
It's very cheap compared to other TCGs, booster boxes go for about $60 and alt art cards can fetch a decent price if you wanted to try to flip them for a profit and the game is fun too.
Bandai is about to take all my money with this set, might even buy a few sealed packs from many years ago from a trusted seller. Love the nostalgia, growing up with DBZ, Yugioh, Digimon, and Pokémon is incredible. I'll continue to enjoy every one of them even when I'm retired.
I remember the old Digimon card game from like 20 years ago. These cards are just as cool. Makes me want to buy a whole bunch.

Casually interested in this card game. I wish i was into it when it came out just a few years agos because the first couple starter decks are so expensive now(relative to normal starter prices) its old school yugioh all over again lol.
But definitely excited to see the Armor and DNA digivolution cards make their way stateside, they were the coolest things to me when i watched the anime as a kid.
Only a year old actually. I've been completing every set since release and buying all starter decks. You can find the 1st 3 decks for decent prices if you look in the right place

This is making me want to get back into collecting Digimon cards again... I haven't collected any of the newer TCG, so I would have to learn how to play the game again since it's different than the original Digi-Battle card game.

I was able to pull machinedramon from one of the 6 packs I recently bought. I was so happy. I'm glad you had a nice trip down memory lane opening these packs.
I had some of the old Digimon cards back in the day.
I tried to get into the new Digimon card game last year but due to all the scalping and limited supply I only managed to get 2 starter decks with the booster packs they came with. I did manage to pull an Omnimon from one of the boosters though. I also ended up winning a sweepstakes and got the 6 promo cards. Pretty much gave up trying to find the cards in stores. Sad.

I loved the original Digimon cards. I also feel duel masters and naruto cards were pretty cool too
I love this set got most of the alt arts now and I actually still have alot of the older cards of the same art still :)
So the alternative arts are the old school version. That's awesome. Diaboromon is in here so that's already a win.
I bought a few of the classic collection gift boxes and pulled alternative arts of Agumon and Metal Garurumon. I also pulled a Machinedramon.
did he get an error box? not very sure on the rates for ex-1 but I think they have standarized the rates with 2 secrets or 2 alt art or one of each per box. so I think mr unlucky here got himself an error box(unless the rates for ex-1 is diffrent)
No the rates are 2 SEC/AA SLOTS + 6 or 5 SRs. His box is one of the better ones cause he got his 2 AA hits + that aditional SEC
@@darkmichaeluchiha yes that is what I mean, the two AA hits should have resulted in no SEC from my understanding of how box rates work

You really tried hard to hide that you bent that secret card's top right corner with how you were opening the packs huh lol Also, I have one of my original Digimon cards still from 1999. Its Power Option Digivolve, Ultra Digivolve and its blue background and borders, 100% holographic except the metal greymon on it. Didn't know it was special til this reprint set. Kept it sleeved since I got it.

I always wonder in card games like this DBZ and pokemon. Can the early cards be used in play with the new ones since they look so much different?
If you mean the cards from the early 2000s, then sadly no. The game is entirely different now, so the new cards are needed. That being said, this iteration of the Digimon game is very fun and I highly recommend it
