Writing to you in May 2023, and I’m still glad I got all the droids in the Elite Series to go along with my TBS figures. It just feels right to have the droids in metal. Nevertheless, it took Hasbro 10 years later to do an R2-D2 in the correct scale in TBS -The Disneyland Neighbor
I would really recommend trying the Bandai 1/12 scale figures, not that big of a fan of the humans in the scale but the droids like their R2 and C-3PO are superb, much better than disneys or hasbros IMO
Yes I've heard good things about them, and I probably will pick up some, but part of what originally attracted me to the Black Series was that they would be available In local stores and not be too expensive. Of course Hasbro's distribution issues have largely negated both of these advantages.
(I know I'm commenting nearly a year late lol) I want these figures for my black series displays, because I'm not paying for Black Series R2 and C-3PO isn't chrome in the BS. I wish they were more at the 6in scale, though.
Thank you for your thorough review, though I would have liked to have seen 3po next to the Black series Luke. The scale of these die cast figures doesn't fit at all with Hasbro's Black series - I'm pleased you saved me a lot of money!
+zzGRENDELzz Sorry about that. I had originally intended to show Luke next to 3PO, but ended up not including it. C-3PO is just a bit taller than Luke, which might be more or less accurate depending on the scene you want to use as reference (scale can be tricky to figure out when working from film).
overall not a fan of the elite series. I have rey, and she absolutely does not stand up at all. she also has paint chipping away at all of her joints straight out of the box. I will most likely just get R2 though. great video!
+Chad Thomas I do definitely plan on doing that. I had been putting it off because I had planned to do one video with all of the Jabba-related LEGO sets, and that's a lot of work, but maybe it would be easier to spit them up.
I dislike Red Arm C-3PO. JJ Abrams and apparently Round Head Ryan have this thing for Red. You can see this in various films. Like so many things they did with TFA trilogy it just doesn't work. Be thankful Jabba died in Jedi because I have no doubt these clowns and activists at Disney would've ruined your image of him. Hopefully they let Jabba and all other characters not already infected with the Disney taint rest.
Black series and Star war elite series was 1/12 scale?

3:13 *shows up at Emergency Room* "what happened to you?" "I was attacked by R2-D2!"
Thank you!! I’ve been looking for a comparison to the BS version and you answered beautifully!

TheNerdHub but this C3PO isn't chrome either and R2D2 is coming back out.

They recently released a prototype boba fett what is still i stock it would look good in a jabba collection :)
+Bowser from Sonic He does look cool, but I passed on the normal Fett because of the scale issue, so I don't think I'll get the prototype one either.

Did you see my video of the Bandai C-3PO
+Skot Nealey No, do you have a link to it?
Mighty Jabba's Collection no, it's one of my videos.
i kick myself for not picking up the general grievous at the hobby shop for $35.
I'm disappointed that they would actually put weathering on R2-D2; I really like my figures clean
mighty jabbas collection you should do lego star wars jabbas palace set

Thanks for your video
I personally think that all TFA C3-PO figures with the red arm are a rip off
Your username? REALLY?
