Practice for the Saudi Arabia grand prix is over and the fastest driver of the day was Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin, but what did we learn well I am going to be doing a data analysis from Practice for the Saudi Arabia GP in Jeddah. Is Max Verstappen going to be beaten this weekend, well over one lap he might actually be beaten.
The Ferrari of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz had a bit more of a tricky day when compared to how things went in Bahrain, for Mercedes George Russell looked very close to the pace but teammate Lewis Hamilton was falling back a little bit when compared to his teammate. The Mclaren of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri look like they might be the 5th fastest car as they are struggling for drag and straight line performance. But what else did we learn, well watch my video and find out.

Glad i found this dude in the beginning of the season,
I was searching in Google and reddit and randomly RUclips decided to recommend me this! Lol
Haha thank you so much for that, I am glad you enjoyed things so far
The arrows!! That’s a lot better, thank you very much! I sticked with you the entire season last year and now I’m gonna be here till the end again!
Thanks man, I appreciate it, it's something I need to try and remember to always add to show what I am actually talking about 😅
Found out about your channel early last season, absolutely love. Very informative and good content. Thank you very much for this and keep up the good videos👍
Ahh thank you for that. I am glad you enjoy the content and I really appreciate the comment 😀
Beautiful Work Pulseman ; appreciate you getting these out quickly after the practice sessions
Thanks man, I appreciate it ☺️
I want to see Fernando win a race and afterwards, at the interview, I want Max to tap Fernando on the shoulder and hug and congratulate him, like Checo did in Brazil
Yeah man, I really want an Alonso win. It's unlikely but I would love it
Everybody liked that
I love how it’s teams and alonso
It's always teams and Alonso 🤣
We learned that Ferrari, Aston and McLaren are very close with Mercedes a step behind. We also have confirmed that Redbull are 3 tenths faster over one lap and at least 6 tenths faster in the race
Yeah Red Bull especially on high speed smooth circuits are leagues ahead of the rest
I was so happy to see Alonso as the fastest driver today, I hope he can get a win this year
It would be awesome to see him win a race one last time
Russell has to be a bit of a sleeper this weekend with upside compared to McLaren and Ferrari. Maybe Alonso or Russell will both see podium
Yeah Russell is on form this weekend as is Alonso, I can see that
Chadlonso for pole this weekend 😁😁
We can hope so 😅
Alpine’s one moment of some good stuff. Man being a alpine fan is exhausting
Haha they have some potential but there's a lot of other work to do
Alpine have fans?
@@barcafan94uh huh
Hamilton has been driving lackluster ever since Perez won the P2 in the WDC in 2023. I think he does have to up his game or he will instill doubts in the tifosi; hyped up as they were, they would not want to see their future driver being far behind his teammate. Otherwise Ferrari would have done better holding on to Sainz, or ever just contracting Russell instead. Alonso's performance was great. Hope he can put in some good qualifying and race performance.
Leclerc will destroy him in 2025 if he can't beat Russell. Ferrari will regret dropping Sainz
Mate I have some concerns as what I think is maybe Aston did some Glory runs to impress Aramco as it is Jeddah... what you think? Should I be worried?
Looking at the long run times, Aston would be the second to third fastest car (well, in the hands of Alonso that is). So still really good, but Max and even Perez were signifantly quicker🤕
Oh yeah definitely some glory runs to impress Aramco, a podium could still be possible though but Verstappen is on another level
Yep I agree
@@MrPulseF1 Not Verstapem RB is on another level
Thanks for the analysis.
I feel Aston may have done a ‘sponsor run’, but would be happy to be proven wrong!
Yeah possibly very true
What did you make of Qualifying, do you think Red Bull is on the brink of falling apart?
Red Bull internal struggles are insane I've never known a team fall apart from the top so quickly (potentially)
Ferrari always run their engines very low compared to Mercedes powered rivals in FP sessions and this time a bit lower than Red Bull.
Where do you see Leclerc ending in this race
Honestly it could be tough to say, a podium is possible as I think they'll have more pace than Mercedes and Alonso
@@MrPulseF1i think ferrari is sandbagging
@@mo215300 Ferrari always run their engines very low compared to Mercedes powered rivals in FP sessions and this time a bit lower than Red Bull.
I hope this weekend is a good one for Williams. 🤞
If you are seeing your Mum this weekend, have a great Mothers Day
Yeah it could be a good weekend,I think them and Haas have more to give yet
We learnt maxs long runs are miles ahead
Absolutely, it almost doesn't matter where he qualifies
Great analysis as always.
McLaren might lose some wing degrees and be better coming fp3 but I very much don't agree with Hamilton being the master of looking at data and improving his car. His performance is very sub par without a rocket and a poor team mate.
yh look at they’re quali , they were sandbagging in fp3 norris was going nearly fastest laps for first 2 sectors then purposely slowing . and now they’re starting 5th and 6th
@@user-yy4qt6rr2z they finished ahead of mercedes so yeah, they were hiding a bit of pace.
Sad for Carlos but probably for the better because he would not drive well this weekend with an appendicitis. I had it a few months ago and it was very painful so I'm surprised he was even able to drive yesterday.
Max vs Leclerc vs Russell will be the battle for pole. Bearman will hopefully reach Q3 but with how close the field is I don't see it happening easily. In the race Max will win, Leclerc will be 2nd but not as distant as Bahrain and Perez will beat Russell to 3rd. Both McLarens will outqualify and outrace Hamilton. Alonso will qualify top 5 but will finish behind the McLarens and ahead of Hamilton.
It is going to be very tricky for Bearman especially with how close the field is in Qualifying
Alonso long run pace in fp2 is really bad their tyre degradation is higher than top 4 teams and also in long runs ferrari are very close to redbull (tbh ferrari were on soft and redbull on mediums) + like last weekend mercedes have turned up their engine in fp2 that's why they were faster. Fight between top 4 teams(excluding redbull) is closer than bahrain. let's see what happens.
Yeah it's pretty rough potentially for them beyond the one lap. Hopefully Ferrari can capitalize
Lulu is now officially the second driver in Mercedes ....Lulu can only win if he has an off the budget car costing 400M, a good 100 M more than his nearest rival & 80 hp more overpowered & a dumb teammate like Bottas
Yeah I think he has reached the point where he has lost his edge
