Soren Emil Carlsen was one of the unique painters of still life whose works share a certain likeness to the flemish masters but go further to the granular and textural qualities of a new era. His poetic works are delicate and harmonious and sometimes referred to as tonalism. His reassurance of interest among artists has continued and the influence of his techniques as well.

Loved the paintings and still life creations but please don’t over analyse the artist’s thought processes. He arranged his subject matter, painted it and hopefully enjoyed it without having to consult a psychiatrist.
