    First of all just want to say thank you for the shout out. Means alot. Really glad that you managed to get the wheeling under control. I think you could comfortably go to a 18t which would be nice. I think that will then give you a nice balance of punch/acceleration out of the corners and top speed. We still need to get out with the cars together at some point

      Hey there buddy , No worries at all and thanks for all your advice on the SSTe it really helped me think about it and dial it in great . Yeah nice to see it point and go now its a ripper . So your thoughts 18t would be a good compromise on that ? As you say a good combo of punch and top speed .
      Yeah i would love to get out and take our cars for a rip soon as long as you dont mind me filming it that is ?
      Stay awesome david mate

    I’d like to see the good and bad stuff about the RC’s you own. Information is everything in this Hobby. I bought the Big Rock 3s in November not knowing much about it. Watching your videos and I’m updating to 4s Diffs, Center Diff, CVD driveshafts and all the other changes you’ve made before I’ve even put a battery in it😂. I like my RC’s to be pretty reliable so thanks for all the knowledge. Tell your Wife that’s a Great Idea 👍

    it's definitely the backflip lp's that cause this. I had a set on my MT410, and it would wheelie all the time. If you don't care about crazy backflips, I would recommend getting a set of Arrma Katars from the talion. You could get very high speed, and it wouldn't wheelie as much. You have to remember that the Backflip LP's are designed for the outcast 4s, which is a stunt truck, not a speed truck.

      Oh yeah forgot all about the Katars to be honest with you .
      I’ll pick a set up and give it another go .
      I’ve also heard that the fire team wheels are great .

    Morning Chris, top video as always! Ive found i can get mine to full speed and thats on 6s without wheeling but i have to slowly build up speed on the trigger which is okay on the football field..... otherwise i never manage to get top end at all. Goings to try the tyres for the tailon as ive had a few people say the backflips are too much (worth a try!)

    • @ChriswithaCrc

      Hey buddy , Ah man thanks so much for the kind comment really does mean so much .
      Ah ok so driver mod is needed then lol !
      What gearing are you using in yours bud and what KV motor ?
      Yeah ive had a few say that the Talion wheels are good for this truck , its got to be worth looking in to , I've also heard that the copperhead v2 are a good mix of both .
      Stay awesome
      Chris :)

    • @craggzy2007
      @craggzy2007 Год назад

      @ChriswithaCrc I'm using the standard RTR one so the 2000kv motor... not sure on the gearing 🤣 It's fast enough for me to be honest and I rarely get it opened up fully because lack of space or a lot of people around the field!

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  Год назад +1

      Hey Kurt , Yeah so im running a 2050 kv motor so thinking that this is a good compromise on 18t maybe ?

      Chris :)

    • @kurtsrcTV

      Lower kv motor then what I was using so it's going to naturally have more torque then my set up. I think upping the pinion might make it even more rear wheel happy

    • @kurtsrcTV

      I also had dboot katars on mine so that would have helped

    you should always turn the handset on before the car. I haven't lost a body pin in years, i make my own tethers out of fishing line or nylon/polyester cord. I simply attatch my tethers by passing the tether through a hole i put in the body & tie a coupe of knots to stop the cord pull out through the hole. The rubber Arrna type tethers are useless in my opinion, they just keep snapping when you pull on them. My ones cost virtually nothing to make & dont keep on breaking, the Arrma ones are around £6 + for 4 & for ever keep replacing them as they break as soon as you look at them. The back flips are probably not the best tyres for going fast on the ground, as they are quite heavy & ballon, ideal for stunts. Belted tyres would be better for keeping the front down at speed.

      Hey buddy , sorry for not replying sooner .
      Yes you’re right with the handset I just forgot lol 😂.

    Nice truck, i think your problem is the tyres, too much grip and ballooning.
    I have one on an 18t pinion and stock suspension.
    I do have racing truggy wheels (they look like bigger buggy wheels)
    I changed all diff oils cant remember what weights but definitely have 100k in the center.
    I can keep up with stock traxxas sledge's without wheelies on 4s
    You can mesh gears better by using a thin cut of a4 paper, better than doing by eye.

      Thanks for the tips! It’s an awesome truggy , think I’ve got it nailed now 17t and got the diffs re done seems to be gripping great now .
      I’ve got some truggy wheels from Team Associated i going to give them a go .
      Stay awesome buddy
