Sorry for not being there live, wish I could've been there but weekends are usually busy for me, as you know. I really like the discussion you had, it put some words to things that were bothering me that I couldn't articulate as well. I think I'll be droping my rating to 3 stars after this since it always was a generous 4, but now that some time has passed and I reflected on the book through you in this video, I definitely feel like it's more of a 3 star experience looking back. While I still enjoyed the second part of the book very much, I do think it's worth saying that it was very surface level on number of topics raised and on certain characters. Also, the beginning hinged a lot on readers suspension of belief(that's the saying, right? 🙈) and while the book still had enough of a leg to stand on that I was able to push through, it still was a major struggle until the focus shifted more to the relationship and their interactions rather than the whole wedding side gig stuff. Looking forward to future book club picks, it's been a fun ride so far. ❤
Don't you worry!!! I appreciate the time you took to watch it back!! And defenitly the book to me was very surface level in some aspects! Specially the ex's wedding being such a big deal!! Loved to see your thoughts and totally agree on them!!
@@beatrizbooknook I saw that the next pick is Ariadne, but personally not a big fan of mythology/retellings genre so I might skip it. However, if you all love it the fomo will kick in so I might get it then. 😂
