I'd also like to point out that the form said that the zerg had ZERO awareness, but in game there was an overlord over his natural for the whole time seeing the forge and twilight being chronod.
If you look at the form itself, this dude is simultaneously claiming Zeg are OP because of ulimited vision and that his Zerg opponent had zero awarness. Im not Starcraft Engineer, but something tells me those two thing are bit contradictory.
@@SapphirosCZ I think what he meant was that Zerg is so op that he didn't even use the awareness he possibly had and still win. Like, hey I know he had complete vision, but I know for sure that he didn't make anything out of it.
Or, to make a Harstem analogy: Imagine you have have a gun in a fist fight. But you use your gun to hammer on you enemy instead of shooting. So you waste all the potential of a gun and it is still so strong that it gives you a major advantage.

Dunno if possible but I would love to have "blind-state-dates" as a format: You bring f.e. Serral at a unwinnable stage of a game in a fight between two master-players and see what he can do. Like drop him in the middle of minute 13, the next big attack happening in 60 seconds, let's see if he can change the course of battle just by his magic :D
Harstem already did this and he won in every scenario even the "unwinnable" ones. Quite handedly actually

From the intro image I thought the game will be pvp and author toss is hiding his probe near the opponent's gas, mimikring to its own mining probes. Thus gains vision on the base for entire match
We have to assume that though it looks like protoss is making mistakes their build is just too nuanced for us to understand!
I've noticed that in the ZvP matchup, there are certain gimmicks that can help each race. But when either of those races play terran, terran can match those gimmicks.

I'm just starting the video but I already see the cognitive dissonance lol. His build is simultaneously OP while zerg is also OP because the build fails. It isn't his build that's bad, oh no, its all because zerg is OP lol. This probably occurs because when it works it gives him a positive feedback loop but when it fails he blames an external source.

I'm not used to a Protoss complaining in a Terran fashion, except a Terran would never say they have "a nuanced" build, rather they have "a finely crafted galaxy brain build". Time to see what this replay holds in store then edit this comment.... I couldn't make it through the nuanced moments just in the first 90 seconds of the game, Harstem you god amongst men, thank you for casting/hosting this on YT.

you should add a new rule to the balance complaint form that your complaint cannot contain completely controdictory statments. it just shows that they dont actually understand what happened in the match or why you lost. if you say zerg has unlimited vision and then in the next breath say they have zero awareness, you are obviously clueless as to what you think is imbalanced.

Unrelated, but the name "GotouDeath" is probably an anime reference; there's a recent anime called Bocchi the Rock where the main character's name is Gotou being pronounced "go-toe" rather than "go to you".
As the player speaking, it is in reference Go-toh but from the anime parasyte.

Most of protoss players starring in iodis would win if they made immortals instead of stalkers or basically anything but stalkers
That's just .... nonsense. Making stalker here was better than making immortals, he just used them wrong. But immortals aren't great vs that army either.
Immortals against mass roach is a no brainer
Basically it's useless to focus on dealing eco damage if you do more damage to yourself in the process.

a tiny problem that is very annoying
I would rather have 10 zealots at five minutes than 7 at six and an oracle. This build wasn't that good which is a shame cos the damage was good but killing a hatchery is the easiest trade but it's worse. 300 minerals and no drone losses doesn't hurt the economy half as much as a worker line.
The build was very good, just the execution bad.

@@hivetech4903 It was melee upgrades not mass roach. Mass roaches also doesn't hardcounter anything.
Colossus and archons is just not a good idea, way too slow and the zerg would just get viper out. It's a 5k zerg, he can scout and react.
@@mothrahlurker788 Lol wut? The reason Colossus are rare in PvZ is literally because of the Roach remax. If Protoss was making Colossus, they weren't making Immortals.
Upgrades do not define what unit Zerg can remax on & if you think your +1 Lings are going to do better for supply than Roaches... try getting to Masters with that idea & see how it goes.

I haven't played SC for almost 10 years, I'd still play a better game than this guy.
I didn't watched the video yet, ofc he succ but playing against zerg kinda feels this way that they can take infinite damage and just continuously rebuild with instant reinforcements and you must tryhard twice than them to deal that critital hit to win
And when you play zerg you feel like a punching bag and all you do is rebuild things over and over against some idiot who is barely macroing and has half your economy and oh it's so frustrating..
