This part shows the hard work they had to go through to get to where they are. So many haters think they are manufactured, also means that everything was bought and paid for, and that all the mega concert they have now were always there. Nope, these girls did the grind like any other band, they played small/any venue they can, trying to get their name out there, when they were like 12, touring and doing their homework.... Their work ethic is insane.... The energy you see from their early concerts is the same energy they put in to their concerts now.... You will never see them halfass their performances, no matter the size of the crowd or venue... Back in the day, Yui and Moa both had accidents in the Budohkan, but they came right back to perform. 😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
As @crimson0119 said below - this disproves the lies and misinformation about them being manufactured as a money making thing by suits in a boardroom throwing money at them and booking big arenas for them to play right from the start. They started in borrowed clothes playing for free in shopping malls etc and at the SG shows and Idol festivals as part of SG, then tiny venues with 150 capacity and so on as they learned their trade and tried to find an audience nobody believed would even exist for what they were doing. MartinMetal already said as well that there is 18 months between them - Su was 12, nearly 13, when they started late in 2020, Yui and Moa (there is only a couple of weeks between them) were both 11 ... they just looked a lot younger as they were both tiny (but don't call Moa smol!).
💀 ⚡ 💕 That Summer Sonic performance was pretty early in their career, so they only had about seven songs to choose from, including the 'Kimi to Anime ga Mitai' (Answer for Animation With You) cover. They performed a 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' / 'Iine!' medley, 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!', and a short version of 'BABYMETAL Death'.
When you have no stage, and someone offers a side stage, that is huge boon. The special thing with Babymetal (among so many special things really) is how hard they worked from day 1 to always be ready when a stage opened up. They have absolutely killed it every time (except one that i know of when one of them was legit sick and they performed anyway because they didnt want to let down the fans who came to see them, tough tough decision). they worked and earned every bit of their success.
I think you are over estimating the age gap between the 3 original members. There was only a 1.5 year difference between all of them. Also, by the time Babymetal performed at Summer Sonic in 2012, they had a max of like 5 songs, not 20. Remember, all 3 of them were still in middle school at the time, it's not like they were working full time in Babymetal yet.

These ladies have been working hard for a long time. Wasn't sure from your working with different ages comments but Su is only two years older than Moa and Yui. There's actually a bigger age gap now as Su is 27, Moa is 25 but Momo is the new baby of the group at a mere 21. It still blows my mind when you think of these humble beginnings and the fact that in such a short time time these three will be performing in front of tens or thousands. Oh yeah that curiosity or WTF factor is why "Gimme Chocolate" has 194,000,000 views.
Their early career does sound like a slow grind at first, but when you think about it, that show at the food court was in August 2012, and in March 2014 they were already playing at Budokan in front of 10.000 fans. That's insanely quick. I actually find that hard to wrap my head around. That insane scene with the huge foxes is actually from the very performance you mentioned with the guys in fox masks playing the drums. It's getting reacted to pretty rarely, probably because it's likely to get blocked. But it's absolutely worth it. I have never seen anything like it, and I'm old enough to be familiar with earlier Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper shows.
