I am always doing tests to try new things with my leather. You gave me a very good view of the 3D printing option. It is still a pretty good option for certain things. Faster and cheaper. Thank you so much!!
They certainly hold up pretty well considering it's PLA
I have the same arbor press and it is great for doing stamping. The water being pushed out in your stampings says that the leather is too wet--needs to absorb more after wetting and you should get great impressions!
That arbor press was indeed impressive.
Your leather shouldn’t be that wet. You can put it water for about a minute then take it out and allow it to dry about 5-10mins then use the stamp the impression will be a lot better
Thanks for this tip! Will keep that in mind for any future stamping :)
For a minute in water, you need to leave it for a good hour plus
Minute 0.43 , i am pretty sure it is autdesk fusion360, and not adobe
Pretty cool!!! I’m going to try this I do believe if that leather wasn’t soaking wet it would have imprint a lot better.
Yep! lesson learned!
Nice hook with that car pressing 😅
That deer logo would probably work fine on the 1-ton arbor press if you added a hefty draft angle to the design. Maybe 15 degrees?
I like watching your experiments
Really helpful, tysm!! 🤍
Gracias por la enseñanza compartida y bendiciones para todos ❤, saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱
I have a question. Can you gold foil stamp leather without heat using 3D printed stamps?
Fusion 360 is an Autocad product. Not Adobe. Adobe makes Dimensions.
Ah yes. Sorry about that!
Fusion 360 is a product of AUTODESK ;-)
Adobe Fusion 360….. did Autodesk and Adobe merge?
i was asking myself the same question.
Good video. Running it over with the car made me laugh out loud. I tried this once (not the car), but I was trying to cram too much detail into too small of a stamp, so it didn't look good at all. Curious if you used top layer ironing on your prints?
haha! Glad you enjoyed that. I haven't tried that but that's a genius idea. Will have to try that out.
Great video thanks!
Hi, congratulations on your work! I would like to know the 3D printing setup you used for the hamburger stamp as the model is no longer available in the description. Thank you!
The Econofil PLA we use tends to print best at 220°C with a 60°C bed temperature. I played it safe and printed it completely solid (100% fill) for this. The hamburger protrudes 3mm off the surface of the base block, and the block itself is 6mm thick. Hope that helps!
@@SpringbokCraftCo thank you very much!
Not sure if anyone mentioned it but some people sand the stamps down with fine grit paper to get rid of the print lines. Have you by any chance tried making 3D prints for wet molding? I'm not too familiar with how 3D filament (or 3D printing) stands up to moisture. Thank you for the vid! Great content.
I sanded it down a bit but definitely should have done it a bit more! That's a great tip.
I will definitely make a video on 3D printing for wet molding in the future.
Maybe sand to remove the lines?
Did you print with 100% infill. Also if you sand the stamps a little before use you wont get the print lines.
Good question, I was wondering the same.
Hey guys your rotating mould is beautiful , you can make a viedeo about how to make it or can you shard it on thingivera or somewere ?
I'll have to see if I can find it! It's been awhile
Use sand paper on a flat surface before stamping those lines will disappear ;)
hello, can i know what material you used for the 3d printed model?
Leather is far to wet. Suggest looking into casing leather
How did you make the emboss for the roller?
you can do it with faux leather? will the stamp stand the heat?
no 3D printed stamps can't take any heat. and faux leather would only work with hot stamping.
Just dip the leather in water for a few seconds and let it get almost back to it’s original color before pressing.
Thanks for the video. PLEASE lose the jump cuts, if I’m only listening to your video it’s fine but watching, it is not.
