I just built there myself. I built a small building. I double walled it and used the trick to cover the foundation in half walls. I then used wallpaper to make it look like it was made of cinder blocks. I turned it into a home for my ally then made my home in the utility shelter. I also placed the work benches in there. 😃
Christ Darth you've done it once again! Absolutely amazing build! I'm going to have to make my own version of this since I got the junk fences a few days ago. I really like the scrappy sort of style on camps and you've done it perfectly. Another 11/10 build from you! 👍
hell, what a great place to build on! fantastic job mate. as i watched you build it i had a pang and felt the need to share. and that pang was simply the workshop room is immersion breaking. if you look at the in game places that have workbenches and stations they rarely have more than 2 in one place and often just have one in a room, or maybe 2 of the same one in a space for Chem stations and power armour stations in dedicated labs or maintenance bays. ive also found that by spreading them out i use the whole camp rather than just going to the same room every time i come home. and its nice to have a room to sleep in and maybe brush up on my guitar, a kitchen to cook in with a brewing pantry, a garage with my power armour and armour workbench and a den where i fiddle with my Tinker workstation and weapons station. moving around the place and getting to admire the work i put in. just a thought i had while watching. of course im living mostly underground these days with a bunch of mannequin people but thats just the limit of the options available in game (hey bethesda! give us more people in our camps and shelters! they dont need to give us free stuff i just want them walking about!)
Interesting thought. I like the idea of using more of the camp space, and I usually do put the cooking stations away from the rest. I feel that most of the other benches belong in a kind of garage/workshop though. I wouldn't want the pillar drill set up on the weapons bench in my living room personally! There's some possible ways to spread out and dress up the benches though that might be interesting to think about.
Great junky build. Awesome decorations and placement. These type of builds have become my favorite lately. They blend in very well with the wasteland vibe. I have one of my camp slots in this spot but have yet to build there. This is a great inspiration though. Thanks as always for sharing.
Just coming back to 76 after a couple of years away, and... I HATE you for telling me this. I'm going to end up spending a fortune! I absolutely love scrappy builds, having spent an inordinate amount of time on Fallout 4 building camps, all of which barring one ended up being built out of/surrounded by/filled with junk.
Dude I found you in game yesterday while you was doing the fasnacht event. I tried my best to get ur attention so I could show you my camp lol but I lagged out of the lobby. I made an entire western town in the abandoned mine shaft. I thought you’d be quite impressed but I didn’t get the chance to show ya. I also walked around ur cabin build that is awesome btw.
@@DarthXionGames My camp is actually in the same location as yours is in this video. It had a mobile home and the abandoned mineshaft was towards the back. Does that sound familiar?
That's definitely the one we looked at. ☺️ Which also means I mentioned you in the video. 😎 The VOD will be on the current 76 stream playlist (Night of the Moth) if you want to find it.
@@DarthXionGames Wow that’s so awesome, what a small world. I’ll definitely watch the vod. I appreciate you checking out my build. I definitely have been inspired by your camps :D
On the ‘collision’ issues with the tent… have you tried blueprinting the item and placing it that way? I know that works for under stair units and keeps items from teleporting on top, like roof pieces do.
Another solid lore friendly build! Quick question for ya though. Why are you so fond of the brewing station? I noticed you had it in all of your camp builds. Is there some in game benefit the station provides aside from making basic alcohol?
@@DarthXionGames I really wanted the junk included so I've had to do it alot different but the same vibe. Also need the scrappy looking junk fences still don't have those yet. Ty so much for the hard work you do!
@MichaelsExplorations unfortunately it's not available anymore. The last update put a couple of new locations basically right on top of this spot so it's not buildable anymore.
I'm starting on this build right now but i can't use the junk destracter it's outside the build area. I don't have that trailer so i had to build something about the same size to replace it.
I have an entire Vault-Tec themed camp and recently I've noticed that I can't place certain things even though I meet requirements. - I have space - I have materials - I have it unlocked. I can't place any of the three supply crates (couldn't sice i first got the game), i can't plave the VTU deploma, VTU poster or the VTU pennant... its all just in a grey outline I spent $120 to unlock all of the scoreboard stuff at once... was that what caused it?
Hmm. Tough to guess at the problem there. All three are wall decorations so I'm wondering if wallpaper might be interfering. You could try removing that and placing again. Nearby objects could also be getting in the way. Failing that I'd gather as much info + screenshots as you can and submit a ticket to help.bethesda.net I'm not sure what you mean about the supply crates though... If it's a stash box I'm stumped, but if it's the blue supply crates on the scoreboard, they're not camp objects, but rather something you can break down for scrap.
@Darth Xion there is actually a lot of things that don't place. Christmas floor decorations, the three supply crates (yes they are stashes), wall decorations and more. Thanks for the tip about the website, I'll be sure to try that.
It's just a thought about the stashes... It could be down to what you're trying to place them on. Some tables and other objects can be finniky and occasionally the ground interacts in strange ways, (I think that's down to different surfaces meeting, often underground), that can cause problems. I hope you get it sorted!
With rugs/doormats etc? Not really. You can kind of use it to get things to sit closer together but not to bypass collision altogether like we did in FO4. You'll usually be able to see the rugs of you do though so it tends to look a bit rubbish most of the time.
Basically I avoided them. I think I used Rad-x / Radaway when I put the fences in, otherwise I put a few larger decorative objects in front of them. The main areas of the camp are far enough away from them that you're not affected by it most of the time.
A fair bit yes! 😂 I'm always gathering more though and I tend to spend my caps on buying more junk from the vendors at the Whitespring when I max my caps out, which I often do.
Place never hardly and rarely gets attacked lol. I have a full on junk yard no foundatiins one pre made destroyed trailer the rest all the garbage I could throw about. You do not need walls here.

I’ve had my main camp here for ages. Such a good location for a scrap camp! Always spawn on the hill though no matter where I put my camp unit
So far I've loaded into the middle from the main menu. I've not fast traveled yet so we'll see how I get on.
The entrance through the old gate!! Love how you fixed that up! and the dingy trailer was perfect for this build! 👌 ty for sharing xion!!
Thanks Pepper! ☺️

I use it to craft hard lemonade. It's not really an essential for me, but the AP/AP refresh buffs are helpful sometimes.
Stole this location. I used the mega mansion and some shipping containers 🤘🏻 love it
I would think that those would look good here.
@@DarthXionGames I really wanted the junk included so I've had to do it alot different but the same vibe. Also need the scrappy looking junk fences still don't have those yet. Ty so much for the hard work you do!
It's kind of the ultimate scrappy location imo!
I just brought the mega mansion so they fit here ok? Of so this will be a nice spot 😂

One of yoyr best builds mate. That trailor suits this spot.
Thanks! I thought it looked like something you'd expect to find there! ☺️
Nailed it!
Can’t wait to purchase junk walls if they are available again
Just an FYI that build location now has a door in the back that leads into a cultist invested cave
I use the damage house trailer for work benches
Love your camps. Keep it up 👍
grabbed the junk walls this time around :)
They're a must have imo!
I'm starting on this build right now but i can't use the junk destracter it's outside the build area. I don't have that trailer so i had to build something about the same size to replace it.
Yeah, the build area isn't quite big enough to cover the whole enclosed area and the resource node too unfortunately. 😕
@@DarthXionGames I finished i don't need junk or wood

Question: do enemies spawn in the middle of this location?
Nope they spawn either on the hill at the back side or at the front right off of the road
Typical that. Spawning right where they can shoot over the walls!
@@theabominablesmokeman8296 Thanks for letting me know!
its the first time I'm watching a fallout 76 video ,question doesn't the carpet glitch we used in FO4 work in 76?

sadly this spot does not really work anymore, since there is a mothman cult spot now
You must go through a load of junk rebuilding your camp so often. lol
