Nice tour , thank you. Such a pity that building was abandoned. Hope it can be saved. Learned to swim there while Mum ran the cafe before council took over. Annie Lennox worked there after school. Frankie the Gordon Highlander threw me in deep end , gave me the confidence to swim.🌊 Jovial Mr Taylor the boiler man giving tours, proud of the machines. ~ Alot of happy memories & I hope Frankie is doing well wherever he is.🙏🏻 No coincidence I'm a water cat.😻🏴
Many thanks for your super info. I leaned to swim there too and jumped the third top to celebrate same evening . Later on dived the third top a few times Jumped the top few times and dived 2nd top once . Chlorine mad.
The council will never let this place open. Too busy making an erse of the toon center. I have very fond memories of this place and the Beach Baths and Middle School come to that. I remember I dived the top board here when I was 12. Boy I was proud.
When it’s ready to open, let me know, I’d be first in line to take a dip! 😎☮️🏊♀️
Most of the population of the city leaned to swim there. Also the Beach baths (1920-1972)
I’ve always wanted to go in there . Looks like an awesome place. Great acoustics. Think they had a jazz festival in there just recently 😮
Yes Stu acoustics are great .Better than playing your guitar in the bathroom at home.. 😎

Your welcome, new sub.@@LarryBees That's cool you learned to swim there too.
I jumped off the top a few times , well done for diving second top.🙂
@@suzycat2026 Many Thanks !! diving the second top was a one off. Never again.
Going back to the days when personal hygiene started to become important and people didn't have baths at home 😊👍
Yes, true although I had a bath from age 7. When we moved to council house.

Aye ! happy days there and Beach baths when we were young and carefree .
Be such a shame to demolish such a fine pool loved by the whole city for generations.
