Yes it certainly is, and we have other videos showing how to work on opening the hand. However, for some people with no movement at all , it’s important to work on both

Can a person regain movement after 10yrs?
There is no end date to the potential for recovery - our brains are adaptive and can learn as long as we keep providing it with input.
The longer after an injury someone is other factors can make it harder such as muscle stiffness or contracture, spasticity, learned non use etc. but there is not an absolute end point.

There is no set place to start. You could consider stimulation of wrist and finger extensors as a starting point
