In US News, NowThis News caught up with Trump's troubadour Kraig Moss, who followed Donald Trump singing his praises all across the United States during the 2016 election campaign. Kraig Moss fully believed the MAGA message that President Trump would make America great again, but like many Trump supporters Moss is turning away from President Donald Trump over the White House's inaction on opioids and the opioid crisis. Rather than focus on drugs, President Donald Trump has used his position in the oval office to pursue border security and a border wall, which led to the government shutdown, a clash with Nancy Pelosi, and a national emergency all in effort to build the wall. The Russia investigation is also closing in and complicating things for Donald Trump's agenda.

I agree with Rebekah. 2092, I was in Dallas, Tx. in 2016. Me and a friend had gone to a church on this particular Saturday, and he asked mostly himself but I heard the question of course, It took me a while to think about it. The next day it becomes obvious to me. I had watched a short documentary about the Richard Nixon Watergate scandal. That's when it became clear to me, oh I see the President can resign and receive a presidential pardon for any and all crimes committed.

He is an honest man, who made a mistake. He was lied to about something that was close to his heart. This could happen to anyone.
I think his followers were split in two camps. One, the majority, uphold subconscious or unconscious supremist ideologies, financial professionals and the few whom are just the reg "Joe" whose political trust was misplaced. I think the latter changed sides pretty early on once reality didnt match rhetoric.

But what is also disturbing are the number of people who also died as a result of Trumps callous discard of life. There's a docuseries on Netflix about Trump called "Trump: An American Dream". In episode 2 there's a story about a charter helicopter that crashes killing everyone on board that included some of Trump's executive staff. According to Trump his staff wanted to take his helicopter (that has his name on it) but they didn't want to wait for 2 hours so they took a charter instead. But instead of the story being about the people who lost their lives Trump floated the idea that he almost got on the helicopter with them. So instead of the story being focused on his staff it was suddenly Trump who was the center of attention making it more about Trump cheating death.
However one of the people being interviewed who's recounting the story suggests that Trump would've never flown ANYWHERE unless it was a helicopter or plane with his name on it. It was another side of Trump's personality that showed just how morbidly obsessed he was with himself. Even during the funeral he was talking to someone about logistics and what tomorrow looked like in terms of doing business.
It's like, you can't wait a few hours to mourn the dead before you start naming a replacement for the guy in the coffin?! Even the small bit of footage they have of Trump walking around makes him look like he's just bored and disinterested. Like a kid who wants to go back home to play video games rather than hang around sad and crying adults. This of course all tracks with his insensitivity to McCain who's six-feet under and the fact that Trump can find ways to marginalize and attack him. It's because Trump lacks any and all self-awareness or sense of morality.
How people still support him baffles me to no end.

PlainLies People in this country all come from different backgrounds and life experiences. Those backgrounds and experiences help to shape peoples world view. That’s how we get liberals, conservatives, fascists, socialists, left wing, right wing, bigots, non-bigots, and every other point of view. I don’t agree with many far right and far left philosophies, but I understand why they believe what they do. In the end, we’re all human beings, and if we’re reasonable, civilized, and mature adults, we should be able to disagree with each other’s “ideas”without hating or belittling the “person”.
That’s difficult for most people, because most find it difficult or impossible to see outside of their own world view. Our habit of staying in echo chambers increases that difficulty.

One of the single greatest tragedies of the Trump era is people like this. Folks who've been hurt, who have been struggling and grieving because this crazy thing called life took an unwanted and unexpected turn. Those people deserve real compassion, real solutions to help them. And all Trump did was deceive and use them, because in the end the only thing Trump cares about is Trump.

doug wristen I mean no disrespect, and I agree with you about the character of Donald Trump, but you need to consider that this man is still grieving for his son in 2020, and was also grieving, probably even deeper in 2016, just two years after his son died. Such persons struggling with grief are not always at their full capacity in terms of their judgement. Trump exploited his pain, and his son’s pain, and this grieving father really only realized this once Trump was in office, and saw how Trump’s actions in office were contradicting his rhetoric on the campaign trail.
This man did nothing wrong. We KNOW that Trump is, sadly, really “talented” at demagoguery. Many people were fooled. But there aren’t many who have the courage it takes to admit in a very public way that they were wrong, and spending the time he took this year to evaluate the other candidates more closely, and evaluate not just their policies, but also their character.

This story has tears in my eyes, I lost a son also. I can imagine what you are feeling. I had four sons and two daughters. A parent doesn't want to loose a child. I lost my son in 2017 and to this day im still hurting he was only 31. We have to put God first and pray. You take care of yourself.

I'm a couple of years older than her. I am absolutely lucky that I never got to being around drugs and cigarattes ,my college friends made it an extreme point to keep me away from them.I thought they were icing me out or that they didnt want me there. In all honesty ,whatever their intentions ,they looked out for me more than they can ever realise.

Ive have been a patient in one of the rehabilitation centers talked about in this video. I have been free of illicit drugs for more than 20 years. I have seen the enormous expansion of treatment centers across the U.S. and i am so appreciative of the support. Shutting off funding is the opposite of concern for this crisis.

I remember reading her last text saying goodbye to me and where she was so the ambulance could try to save our baby. Neither of them survived. Me and my best friend both overdosed on fentanyl in 2018 together. He passed as well and i was lucky to be resuscitated. Life is a gift don’t take it for granted. Love people and have compassion and empathy because we all struggle.
