Shame on the judges to not acknowledge that one of the dancers was what messed Jake up during the routine and just blame him. For a non-pro it'd be very hard to get back into it after that.
Maybe they missed it from their angle but class by Jake for not saying it was due to that reason he was out of time.

Watch it again. 1) The dancer seems to be changing her level as she turns in the same way the professional behind her does, part of the style. 2) She comes out of her turn to find Jake in her path and there is nothing she can do. I'd suggest you check more carefully before criticising a professional who's job/reputation could be on the line for this. (I personally think, if you look carefully, you can see a minor panic on her face before she goes into the turn as she can see where Jake and Janette are but there's absolutely nothing you can do. But I might be wrong on that). But Jake, leading Janette, is in completely the wrong place, cutting across an arc of dancers. It's a genuine mistake, it happens, it's about using the floor. But let's please stop blaming this woman who did nothing wrong.
Carol Bailey Agreed. I didn't see any real style in it either. And I tweeted Claudia Winkleman to say the professional dancer ought to be given a formal apology on the show, as she should not have been blamed. I wonder if there's something of the 'bookies' favourite', let's spin this the best we can, going on. Shame Craig backed down a little over it on the results show. At least he did reiterate 'floor awareness' re Jake. But I feel the show lost a bit of credibility over it, tbh. A shame.

I love the choreography and one more thing: the clapping fits perfectly with the song ...I wish they would stop/tone down with the clapping for all other songs..They make everything cheap and trivial...

I don't agree that the female dancer was in position. I've watched it over and over and she is more towards the centre than the other three.

I watched it in slow motion and the girl had a little slip when she made a turn which is why she bumped into jake. Shame he got marks taken for that.

She fell off her heel and the poor girl is mortified. Jake and Jeanette were lovely about it on It Takes Two. Apparently she's a good friend of Jeanette's. Live TV is an absolute cow!!
kaytianna100... Did she now? Because it doesn't look that way. And again, if she did, why? Because Jake and Janette were in her way. Again, the woman is in the middle of a row of three professional dancers and there is no way she could come out of that turn and avoid them - they are right there.
kaytianna100 So I just watched that bit of It Takes Two anyway and Janette says, and I quote 'if - we were just a bit off [in terms of floor space] from what they were used to... she just wasn't wary'. Janette's a bit inconsistent about it, saying that her and Jake's step went a little bit funny, but their spacing wasn't any different from rehearsals... but the 'if - we were just a bit off from what they were used to' kind of allows that they were off. I suspect the professional lady feels bad because as a professional she feels like there's always more she could do, but she's just being noble and professional and it wasn't her fault. And again, she doesn't 'stumble' until she's turned around to see she's been blocked. Don't believe what they tell you :) He did recover well though, I'll give him that. But I think it was a 5 or 6 at this stage in the competition.

Regardless of the mishap with the dancer and the music choice, this dance just makes it more obvious that Janette's choreography does all the work for Jake. She is the one performing this AT. He has not advanced as a dancer, she just knows how to make him look good.
Still rooting for jake, although this greek argentine tango was not perfect.
But a 5???

If they are going to put backing dancers in argentine tango they should do it how they did with Anita and Gleb and just keep them in there for show, as we can see, something went horribly wrong here, however I disagree with Craig intensely about the start, that was not messy at all.

I think they got totally screwed over this week. Zorba the Greek for an Argentine Tango was always going to end in disaster.

I think they've taken using the wrong music beyond what needs to happen. Lovely sirtaki but not much tango. Can we have proper music next year?
Wormwood had the nerve to say the dancers should have floor craft and watch the other dancers,the fact is he wasn't watching properly ,Jake got the blame for that girl bumping into him.I thought he did very well as he always does.
If Wormwood had been watching the dance properly as he should, he would have seen it.
The fool should never be a judge in the first place with his sour face, unkind bitchy comments and delibereratly poor marking,he spoils the whole SCD experience for me,if it wasn't for Darcy in between him and Len,they would come to blows I'm sure, Len often rightfully strongly disagrees with Wormwoods comments and marking,as does Bruno.

He was very unkind to Frankie too,she made a mistake like they all do,overall she did well and looked very beautiful in that dance,he could have put what he said in a much kinder way.

Wormwoods "Darling" business is so phoney too,"Darling" is a term of enderment for loved ones, not perfect strangers, he should stop using that phrase especially for men, makes me squirm.

Such an insult to both genres of music. People have no respect anymore. They disregard the original features of any kind of art, music and dance in this case, and mix it with other styles, modify it and ruin it. Shame on these people (and their admirers who applaud them without knowing anything the arts)
