Oh I loved this episode. Santa Fe/Taos is our happy place. We try to get there several times a year. We actually had our honeymoon +20 years ago. My 18 yo daughter and I went to meow wolf a couple of years before the pandemic. It makes me smile to re-live it through your eyes. As far as over load - they have “quiet exhibits” built in that helped to reset your senses. We live in Northern Colorado and I have visited the Denver Meow wolf when it opened. Equally as good- just so different! I’m excited about seeing the Las Vegas one.
We live about 90 miles from Oliver Lee State park. Beautiful area but the long hike is brutal. Also visit Three Rivers Petroglyphs and Valley of Fire while in the area,
We love Santa Fe as well, stayed up in the mountains in a national forest campground called Black Canyon…Probably only would’ve been one site to fit your rig. And a big thumbs up to The Shed!
Very Informative ! I used to say I did not have enough blood in me alcohol stream as to why mosquitos left me alone. They still dont bother me and it's been over a year that I've been sober. lol
Abby, your Mother is not bothered by mosquitoes either, but your Father is, and I hate snakes. I most likely passed that fear on to you. This was a fun episode. Hopefully we can meet up with you all on the road soon. Safe travels to you and we send much light and love.
Hi Abby and Jason! Who would have thought in Sante Fe New Mexico that they’d have mosquitos? Lol! I heard that too where they are mosquitos are around the most is their breath and smell. I was thinking perfume. But I didn’t know they did a test on mosquitos. Amazing what they find out stuff like that. Everybody is different.lol! I got bit a lot when I went camping with family and friends. I love how you all had what you said was 3 or dinners in one night how and where did you put all that food? Lol! Sad to hear about the camping ground where you were you had to move out anger they said it was ok. That’s weird that happened. But glad you got refunded. Jason love the job fair that escapees has going on for people on the romote. Abby I don’t like snakes either. Hope it went away after a while or you guys left. Nice podcast you picked out. I love that kind midevel stories. Thank you for another great podcast. Have a great week and safe travels and see you soon!
Permethrin laced clothing is the only thing that really works for me. And keeping a fan nearby. Santa Fe and New Mexico in general are very different to live in versus visit. Love visiting.
Having grown up in Albuquerque, The Shed was a family tradition growing up. On the Friday after Thanksgiving, it was a tradition that Mom would haul my sis and I up to Santa Fe so she could do some Christmas shopping. We would get our rock candy and at a candy store on the northwest corner of the plaza. The Shed was our lunch spot. Love Oliver Lee also. Hope you got to tour the ranch house of Oliver Lee and Frency's cabin. The rock work of Frency is amazing. The myth is that Frency was the builder of the Miracle Stair case in Lorreto Chapel in Santa Fe. The Hike up Dog Canyon is cool too.
We didn't get to do the tour this time, but we did it when we were here last time and really enjoyed it. We did hike (a portion of) the Dog Canyon trail. Beautiful! -J
🙌 255!! Wow!! Another terrific episode you two! Maybe one of my favorite backdrops - lurking baby snake not withstanding… 😂 Santa Fe is SO amazing! The art scene is fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. And the O’Keeffe House north of town is quite a beautiful setting. Worth a visit. Safe travels!!
Mosquitos love me, but I didn't get bit near as much once I changed my diet - consumed way less sugar. Anecdotal, I know, but I wonder if sugar changes skin odor. Sugar has a scent.
@@RVMilesPodcast I’ve only seen them in Costa Rica (in trees! At night) and Hawaii (on a trail, midday!) But I have not yet used a black light to look for them at night.
This is really weird. Some how I watched this video last night but when the commercials came, they were not on, it was just you two. I felt like I was spying on you lol. How did this happen? Oh, I hope that your eye is better today Abby lol.
I saw it last night, too. I think they accidentally uploaded the unedited copy. It was only up for a little bit. 😁 But it was cool seeing the “behind the scenes!”
You do know that the best drivers can hit every pothole!

I’m so excited to visit the Vegas Meow Wolf and hopefully we’ll get to check out Denver next year! -A
When in Santa Fe, Wecks for breakfast and Horseman's Haven for lunch
We'll put them on the list for next time!

Nice, a LOT OF INFORMATION.

Did you mention something about job fair for on line work? Love you guys..

Taos is my favorite .. less traffic than Santa Fe. ❤

Oh man that sounds so good right now. -J

Looking forward to it next time we make it that way!

Wish we could have done the O'Keeffe museum!! Henry is really into art right now. Next time. -J

Same here - but I haven't been around them much since I dropped sugar. -J
I feel u Abby I also hate snakes!
They def serve a purpose, but I need them to serve that far away from me. Lol. -Abby
How about scorpions? 😄I’m more concerned about them! Definitely tap out the shoes at all times before inserting feet when desert camping.
We've yet to see one!

I live in Santa Fe, never seen one
It might be plant a zhen ay
Am I the only one that caught the unedited version of this? 😜
36 people did!
