In this video, I will reveal the grading results of my coins that I found either coin roll hunting, through cherry picking junk silver purchases, or have had in my collection - through my submission to PCGS. I hope you enjoyed this video and found it informative. Keep hunting and good luck! They're still out there for us to find! Thanks for watching! I think you did perty good brother. I've had submits come back that have kicked me square in the jeweler's most coveted. Looks to be that you came out ahead and added a nice boost to your portfolio, if you will. You're a smart man, you understand the world events unfolding, esp in your own back yard. Those coins have potential to skyrocket in value, now that their numismatic value has been pinned to them other than just their intrinsic melt value. Very nice bro👍 Y'all stay safe, Peace🙏🕉️
I want to have my great grandpa's Morgan graded. It's an 1879 P, and it's at least in MS 62 condition. It's not worth a fortune but due to the sentimental value i want a good holder to protect it
I am not good at grading. This is mainly why I watch these unboxings. You give out great information for me to learn by. Thank you very much! I didn't see why you got the lower grade on some but I think it is because of the slight differences in grading. I am definitely still learning.
That 79-O is definitely a really nice AU58 but I think it's the correct grade. Too much *light* wear in the fields. The 1893-S more than offsets that small loss though so still a huge win!
I love PCGS unboxing videos! You had some great coins and grades - and of course, PCGS always delivers a few "negative" surprises. But another great video!
You give me some hope with coins I submitted to ANACS. The two I'm mostly looking forward to getting back are a 1922 No D Lincoln in VF I cherry picked out of a roll of 1922-Ds and a 1921-D PL or DMPL Morgan I cherry picked out of a group of 1921-Ds. I sent in some other better Morgans to see what grades they give, including an 1895-O in VF, an 1899-P in MS 63, a 1901-P in MS 63 and a 1903-O in MS 65.
great video very good submission. that 1879 o at the end was for sure under graded. i dont know why they hate giveing out ms 61 but i agree with you still ms coin. (it dont really change the value to much if you end up selling it). have a good one and keep up the good work.
I really appreciate your unboxing videos and you giving your thoughts and strategy for grading. It’s been really helpful. I’ll soon be submitting and decided to not submit a few because I realized, thanks to your videos, it’s likely a waste of money. Some coins that I was initially going to PCGS will now be submitted to NGC.
Thanks for the grading unveiling, Rob. Excellent get on the 1893-S(And it does look cleaned, by the way). I thought overall it was a pretty good haul (Nice spitting eagle by the way). The two that stood out as "bs" for me was that last one and the merc. To me, the marks on the reverse (dime) are a part of the circulation/wear. I just got back a submission and had them do the almost exact thing happen to an 1881 Morgan that they did with your 1879-O. And I reacted the exact same way that you did! ("Wah?). Hope you're feeling better! Cheers!
As far as grading goes, I'm still learning how to do it. I've learned more about Morgan dollars from you than others. Some day, I'll get my 1880 O micro O Morgan graded. Thank you for the information that you provide.
Hey Rob, once you've been kicked in the nards with a "questionable color", it's hard to imagine any unboxing coins disappoint you. But I can agree as to why you were disappointed, you put a lot of time and effort into these coins before submitting that it's a huge bummer when they come back like that. Overall great video, sorry about the ungraded/undergraded ones brother. As always, keep it up brother!
Idk dude, all the time you show these coins that are “questionably cleaned” they look pretty obvious on my end. Could just be through the camera, but if that’s the case, I’d recommend filming your coins prior to submission. A lot of these should be easy catches Edit: maybe not cause I agree with the 1893-s looking cleaned lol
“Nicely damaged” - 42/41 dime I think the 93-s looks cleaned, but maybe that’s just on video. Definitely a “buy the coin, not the slab” thing. I think the reverse looks great. The 79-o I’d want in an AU58 set - I don’t see the wear - could be the video.
Your video has taught me alot about your coin submissions, It get's confusing sometimes, but watching helps out. Nice Coins Rob and Thanks 😊 Enjoy the rest of your weekend, say hi to Charlani
I love your unboxing videos! Could you please explain what you mean by insured it for an ms63? I've never sent them coins and I'm super curious. Thank you so much for the great video!❤
You have to declare a perceived value of the coins you submit for insurance purposes. If the package gets lost, you can get reimbursed for the value but you also pay more for j Durante so you gotta give it the best reasonable value.
Yeah I think you got hosed on the 1879-O. Theres no wear at all on that coin. Apparently it got jostled around quite a bit in a mint bag causing all those bag marks.
I think you did pretty well, but I did feel that 1879-O looked circulated. I'm sorry you didn't get higher on it, but you more than made up for it on the 1893-S. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
I have an unusual coin collection . All bought in Washington DC in the early 70's. 392 total . How do you get 392 coins graded? All were bought very fine when I didn't know much just put them in a safe for 5O years. In Phoenix
I thought they were harsh on the Mercury. I have a 93-S but it’s in a PCI holder. I am sure the diagnostics were there when I brought the coin, but I can’t see it now. My vision is fading fast. Had it a long time. Paid $1,500.
Rob, if I had any of the rarer Morgans or even some more common ones, I am sure probably 99% would come back cleaned, or 2 to 4 grades below what I thought. I don't have any expertise in the field and always think I have more value than I do. Just saying.

The Mercury Dime grade is unfortunate. It seems as if the grader came to this after looking at proof coins. When I think of damage on coins this coin would not be included.
VAM is actually the last name initials for Leroy C. van Allen (VA) and A. George Mallis (M). These two did an extensive listing of die varieties of Morgan and Peace Dollars, which is the source of the VAM numbers. If you do an Internet search for "VAM World" you will find a website that lists the VAM varieties. Finally, Whitman Publishing LLC has released guidebooks on both Morgan Dollars and Peace Dollars.
To be honest, I have to agree with PCGS on the last coin. I think you were out of your mind to think you could get more than MS 60 on that one. AU 58 seems about right, I probably would have said MS 60 though.
It would be nice if they would offset your wins with your losses. Yes, you have to pay more the the 1893-S but wish they would offset the ones you overestimated.
I do not think that damage on the dime should of got you that grade! You had a very tough person doing your dime. I think you could roll the dice grade it again come out better! I have a coin with more damage than that and pgc did not even hit me that bad. Nice coins Brother!
im certain your a better grader than those who graded your coins...swear they give bad grades on purpose...ass if they wernt having a good day its a tough game in the graded coin world... i my self wouldnt do it unless it was a speacel coin...rather buy them already graded let some one else do the hard work...
Man they got quite a racket making you pay upfront and guessing what the grading is and then when it comes back lower than what you paid for they don't give you the money back the difference back what a racket

I really like the unboxing videos. It's a constant learning experience. They've probably saved me from a lot of over-optimistic submitting.
Hey, Rob! Major score on the 1893-S! Congratulations! Cheers.
You did great! Getting the straight grade on the 1893-S is awesome!! Cheers!!!

I agree with everything you said, the one looked cleaned and the other absolutely deserved at least an MS grade
Some ups & downs on the grades brother but the ups were way better Rob, congrats on the good ones 👍
Sorry about the few disappointers, but a very good win too. Always very fun to watch!! Thanks for sharing!

That 1893 S man, it's up there with the 1916 SLQ or even 1856 flying eagle cent. Great submission Rob
I've said it before..thank u for the knowledge. Today I learned what VAM means!!!
Wow. Wow wow wow. Fantastic unboxing
Thank you 🤗
Congratulations on the grades. I don't know much about having coins graded. All are very nice coins.
For collectors a dream list of coins ! Any 1893s is awsome ! Merc dime is awsome !

1893 S Boom! Love the PCGS unboxing.
We did great! Nice find on the 1893-S
Thank you!

I got pcgs 1882 cc ms64 in a gsa holder and yours looks so much nicer then mine. I think you did alright.
Love PCGS unboxings! Great viddy!
Great Video and an Awesome bunch of Morgans. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
Yes!
Gratulation ! Vorallem der 1893 S hat sich ja sehr gelohnt.
Thank you and I agree that it was worth it!
I'd resubmit the AU58 because it seems like the graders were tired, (end of day) and they made a mistake!
Great submission Rob!
Awesome video Rob!!😃👍🪙
Thanks for sharing your submission results. You had some great grades on some of them.
Really enjoy your PCGS unboxing and giving us a look at cool 😎 coins and how you work your submissions. 👍
Great unboxing video, Lots of good info...
You Rock & Rule Rob !😂👍🏻
Wow
Really enjoy the show
“Nicely damaged” - 42/41 dime
I think the 93-s looks cleaned, but maybe that’s just on video. Definitely a “buy the coin, not the slab” thing. I think the reverse looks great.

Great unboxing video . I learned a lot . Thanks
Beautiful 👍👍❤️
You definitely hit a homer on the 93-S...Congratulations 🎉
Thank you!
Christmas morning for grownups!
And just like my own Christmas, I celebrate it watching other people open presents.

Rob, you have some great coins bro!! Love the videos.
Bummer on some of them. Who's really grading the coins!!! DANG😮❤
4:44 Looks like a 194R :D
Could you do a video on the registry “points” that you talk about, please? I would love to learn more!
Love your unboxing videos!
Thank you!
Lots of nice coins!!
The 1893-S is a nice enough coin. Congratulations on getting a straight grade.
I have an unusual coin collection . All bought in Washington DC in the early 70's. 392 total .
How do you get 392 coins graded?
All were bought very fine when I didn't know much just put them in a safe for 5O years.
In Phoenix
You should be one of the graders at PGCS.
I’d probably give out too many good grades 😂
Decent!
Great PCGS Video!!
Boom :D
BOOM! 💥
Congrats
I thought they were harsh on the Mercury. I have a 93-S but it’s in a PCI holder. I am sure the diagnostics were there when I brought the coin, but I can’t see it now. My vision is fading fast. Had it a long time. Paid $1,500.
1879-0 wasn’t MS 63 but wasn’t AU 58 either. Nice CC’s.
Great reveal video as always!
That 1879Onwas highway robbery for what they gave you. I think everything else is pretty fair. Great scores Rob!
You win some, you lose some. That 1893-S, man... 🙀
Not bad, all things considered!
Solid run on the 93's mate.
Rob, if I had any of the rarer Morgans or even some more common ones, I am sure probably 99% would come back cleaned, or 2 to 4 grades below what I thought. I don't have any expertise in the field and always think I have more value than I do. Just saying.

I agree. I might resubmit that one.
Rob, where can you sell coins like these once you got them graded
Oh and those rare high graded coins(like the 1893-S) don’t sell/trade very often, so actually you will find the value is higher than the book value
Being new to coin collecting, what does VAM stand for?
Thanks in advance.
Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan

Google it.
@UNoBugMe1
Thanks
You're soooooo helpful.
Boom
I think the obverse on the 93-CC held you down
I've only sent one coin to PCGS. Is there a dispute option, and how does that work if so? Or should I ask, does it ever work?
Yeah, the 93-s does look "backing soda" cleaned.
Why does PCGS make you declare value? And will that effect what grade they give it?
For insurance reasons and it should not affect grading.
@@RobFindsTreasure Interesting. Do they charge more for grading higher value or higher grade items?
cant win them all but there were some surprises still very nice coins
To be honest, I have to agree with PCGS on the last coin. I think you were out of your mind to think you could get more than MS 60 on that one. AU 58 seems about right, I probably would have said MS 60 though.
I guess I really just felt it was MS not AU. “Out of my mind” seems a little much 😂 but I can be that for sure!
Eee i see a 50 on that 79!!!!!
At 58 they gave you one
There is wear right above the ear. It’s not from the chatter on the 79-o
It would be nice if they would offset your wins with your losses. Yes, you have to pay more the the 1893-S but wish they would offset the ones you overestimated.
I agree!
like it

I agree
I just got my 1892 s now I need to get to 93
A VG8! WOW
I know!!
PCGS need to adjust those "book" prices to real world prices!!!
I agree
THAT BEING SAID, what an 1893!
✌️
That damage on the dime looks like it says Excuse 47
im certain your a better grader than those who graded your coins...swear they give bad grades on purpose...ass if they wernt having a good day its a tough game in the graded coin world... i my self wouldnt do it unless it was a speacel coin...rather buy them already graded let some one else do the hard work...
I find it puzzling that the Morgan's have damage yet got graded while the mercury was considered damaged not gradable
not sure why that should make it ungradable, just ding the grade.
I think that 93 s belongs in Dave’s collection 🤨😂
😂
Man they got quite a racket making you pay upfront and guessing what the grading is and then when it comes back lower than what you paid for they don't give you the money back the difference back what a racket
