I had a Lattego 3200 which I really liked, however my sister liked it as well so I sold it to her and upgraded to this Philips Lattego 5400 several months ago. Everyone who uses both of our models really likes them and the drinks they make. I can’t see myself ever not having a Philips Lattego again.
I enjoy drinking my coffee every day. Don’t forget to service the machine once in a while. I made a extended warranty contract when I bought mine. It enables me to get it serviced for four years.

Please brew about 4 coffee just to get the machine started before you can really get into detail with creating your own settings. The first ones didn't taste as well as the ones it produces now.

I will record a video of the cleaning process once my water filter needs to be replaced. Then I will record a video of all the maintenance steps all together.
Today I received my coffee machine. After setup up I made three Café au lait. For me I think the best settings are full coffee bar with extra shot, milk and water leaves on recommended settings. Otherwise by adding to much water it don't tastes so good. I love strong coffee. Used Caprissimo coffee. I will experiment tomorrow with other drinks. 😊

It is very funny, maybe it just happened to me but I finally decided I wanted a fully automatic coffee machine as I have never had one, I am not a coffee expert and to be honest, I would not know an amazing latte from a standard latte lol. BUT after weeks now of searching through machines, reviews on machines, options and features on machines and seeing so many models, it is over whelming but what makes me laugh so much now is suddenly I realise I am looking at a machine review or something and saying to myself, hmmm yea but the puck size is a little small and only this many grams per grind, I am not sure the aroma would be enough, etc etc etc I do not actually know what I am talking about but I am so snooty now, I want the best coffee lol and am yet to even buy a machine! I should just buy this, it has everything I could ever possible want and need, great video really enjoyed it

Yes, you do taste the differences. You have to experiment a bit until you find the one you prefer. Unfortunately you can only buy that Kenia blend only in Kenia. A friend of mine was there and brought is for me as a present.
I guess you will have to make some adjustments to the coffee settings in order to suite your personal taste. The factory settings might be far to mild. Please report how you like once you have bought it.

Please watch my other video about my initial thoughts about the machine. There I show my settings. What you can try first is turn the knob to adjust the grinding size. When you grind finer the coffee will taste stronger.

I guess they might handle to product portfolio and the names for the models individually for every region. But I guess the functions as such should be similar to the one that I have. Important is that you can tune the recipes of your coffee creations individually. And the LatteGo froth option should be the same.

Just purchased one. Great machine but what does it mean when my pucks are wet and sloppy? I have is set at 4 for grinding, is this too fine? Only set at this as it was recommended on a video I found. Only been playing with the espresso coffee
On my side I have set the dial in the middle. The pucks were also quite sloppy and wet in the beginning. Don’t worry. They get dryer over time when the system gets used. I‘ve tested various different coffee brands in the meantime. Quite interesting how different they taste.

I will monitor it over a month and see, usually only have about 4 or 5 a day and only made about 4 cups since I set it up today, grind setting is middle also, 5. You can set the temperature in the settings. We have to choose the lowest setting on mine. Otherwise the coffee is far to hot for us. If yours is still not hot enough on the hottest setting something doesn’t seem to work right. I would get it exchanged or fixed under warranty.
Yes, you can use these tablets. For mechanical dirt you should take out the brew group and rinse it under water without using soap. Otherwise you decrease the amount of lubricant on the moving parts.
The plate is a bit warm. But it’s not really a cup warmer. I always fill those thick espresso cups with hot water from the hot water sprout. Then I wait until they have heated up and then brew the espresso.
It's 200ml in one run. But you can tell the machine to grind twice and then create various scenarios. 2x120ml =240ml, 2x160ml=320ml or even2x200ml=400ml. It's up to you how strong you want it because that's also adjustable. I still have to try the Americano.

I guess it might help if you watch the 3 videos about the machine from start to finish. I am describing everything there really well. I really like mine. The coffee tastes really well.
You can adjust the amount for each recipe and each user.And you can adjust the temperature of the water in the settings which has an influence on both the coffee and the milk temperature.
Can you pls explain how to change grinder level ? If i change it to left side ? Is it more low grinder size(1) it makes me confused :(. It doesnt show where it stays actually . There are just arrows but there is no indication that shows where it is now.. what level it shows when it comes originally?
To tell you the truth I haven’t tested that yet. The coffee producer I buy coffee from told me to leave it on that setting. So I haven’t changed anything. And the coffee tastes perfect the way it is. So why should I change it
The lower the number, the finer the coffee is grinded. Brew 2-3 coffees to really taste a difference. I found this in the instructions Page 21 in the trouble shooting chapter. You should have the instructions.

I guess the version that I have might be launched a bit later in the US. And that one would have the right voltage. You can‘t adapt it.

Grüß dich, könntest du mir bitte verraten, ob die Standfüße sehr weit außen sind? Unser Kaffeestellplatz hat leider nur 40cm Tiefe und das Gerät ist laut Produktbeschreibung 433 mm Tief. Ich würde wollen, dass die Füße voll auf der Fläche aufsetzen. Wenn die Tropfschale etwas rausragen würde wäre das kein Drama :) Vielen Dank

Also die vorderen Füße sind bei 27cm gemessen von der Rückwand Seite angebracht. Die Tropfschale beginnt bei 33cm

Lasst mich wissen wie sie Euch gefällt. Die Stärke des Kaffees und die Wasser und Milchmenge müsst ihr erhöhen! Bitte erst einmal ca. 4 Kaffee durchlaufen lassen. Sonst schmeckt es noch nicht so gut.

@@choschiba I called Philips, they don't know too much about their product either, and I know less about that machine after the phone call than before lol I just bought 5400 we see what comes. Do you like yours? Any tips of what to do what not that manual won't tell about?

I guess it might help if you watch the 3 videos about the machine from start to finish. I am describing everything there really well. I really like mine. The coffee tastes really well.
Is there a froth adjustment feature?
You can adjust the amount for each recipe and each user.And you can adjust the temperature of the water in the settings which has an influence on both the coffee and the milk temperature.
Can you pls explain how to change grinder level ?
If i change it to left side ? Is it more low grinder size(1) it makes me confused :(. It doesnt show where it stays actually . There are just arrows but there is no indication that shows where it is now.. what level it shows when it comes originally?
To tell you the truth I haven’t tested that yet. The coffee producer I buy coffee from told me to leave it on that setting. So I haven’t changed anything. And the coffee tastes perfect the way it is. So why should I change it
@@choschiba cuz espresso gets better when you grind it finer. I looked at the coffee after brew it looks too coarse
The lower the number, the finer the coffee is grinded. Brew 2-3 coffees to really taste a difference. I found this in the instructions Page 21 in the trouble shooting chapter. You should have the instructions.
