Let this be a lesson on how to demo a pedal. We don’t need to hear your personal opinion because what you like might not be close to what I like. Just demo the pedal. Maybe a word or two in closing. Kudos to this publisher.
I am looking for a good transparent OD, I have spent two months on this quest my choices are this, JHS Morning Glory, a used Timmy, Ryra Klone, can you throw some insight on this maybe.
@@Sailor_Man_Music The Lightspeed is just awesome! There is a lot of hype on the internet and I struggled to find a bad review, so I took the plunge and bought it. It adds so much clarity to a clean amp, kind of like a boost but once you turn it on it’s hard to turn off. It works well in the low-mid gain crunch territory and you’ll have to max the gain to get there. It’s the cleanest OD pedal I’ve used and sounds amazing on its own or stacked with another pedal. I’d highly recommend this pedal and is worth every penny which is saying something based on the OD pedal boom. Just as a side thought, have you also checked out the MXR Sugar Drive? It does it all.
@@rob28781 No I but I will look into the MXR. Thanks for the insight I have had my heart set on this Lightspeed for awhile and I am really considering it. I bought a Keeley Red Dirt pedal and I love it. I want something with a little less gain to push my Fulltone fuzz and I think this pedal may be the one. I absolutely adore this pedal.
@@Sailor_Man_Music Lightspeed all the way if you’re looking for low gain. I’m certainly not comparing the Lightspeed and Sugar Drive, but it’s always good to know what’s out there. I was like you, I stalked this pedal for months and when I bought it I wondered why it took me so long.
@@rob28781 My big hold up really is having the cash lol. Sense I have been waiting for so long I have found several other really nice pedals. So I figured if I can't buy I might as well research as much as I can to really know what I want.
Excellent demo and sounds. I have the feeling that the changes up to 12 o clock are extremely subtle, maybe a tiny bit too sublte. I understand that this a super low and mild transparent overdrive, but I had expected more effectiveness in the lower settings. Nonetheless, a cool pedal.

Shout out to the dude not talking in this video. Idk who you are but you do
ironically if they spoke they could tell us who they are
Nice demo! Clean, edge of break up, and full overdrive applications. Great stuff!
I was pretty sure I wanted the Lightspeed, but this demo has sold it to me. Good job! 🙌

Just purchased mine yesterday after watching this video, was looking for a boost pedal just like this.... : )
Great job on the demo !
Love everything you were playing. Very tasty style and you don't have to talk about it.
Fantastic demo. Ok pedal. Thanks a lot for not giving your opinion, we just want to listen.

Btw, that was some kickass riffage.
nicely played.
Single Coil best friend.
Bought one today
What cables are you using? Great sounding pedal for sure.
Bought one. Sounded great with drive knob all the way off. Soon as the drive was engaged it sounded fake (just like a million other pedals) !
Fake?? can you explain? digital sounding ??
Can't choose between this one and MXR Timmy...
And amp is??? thx
Never thought I would say this but I would rather have a TS9.
Why?
I prefer the mid push even though it isn't that good.
I like different flavors during the 'meal'.
Na I'll stay with my Electro Harmonix duel overdrive the Hot Wax and The Glove..
the guitar sounded better without ! the box........so thi is not a total !transparent " box, obvoiusly . and its totally overpriced .
