great content! .... so to help visually keeping up, could the outline of the face cam match the playmat... i.e. paul playing on the redside of the playmat have red around his face cam? Hope that made sense. :)
Activating a trap in the GY is not the same as activating it on the field, so even if "Trap Trick" is activated in the same turn, Traps in the graveyard are still able to be activated
It counts as a trap effect and not a trap card. Activating a card often consists of having it leave a private knowledge zone and it becoming public knowledge. Which it would already be for holeteu. But, as paul said, kinda irrelevant as alec had a pseudo-negate
Trap Trick is actually a brilliant card - banish Swordsoul Blackout, the Trap effect of the banished one summons a token and you can still activate the other card on the field.
Hey guys, piece of constructive criticism. When you use this setup ensure that the player on the blue side of the mat has the blue screen overlay and the player on the red side of the mat has the red overlay. It will make the screen much more readable.

@@Samurai-no4wu the Master Hyperion OCG remake structure deck had nibiru... Stupid move by Konami not to release the remake decks in TCG too. I can't imagine actively trying to kill my own business like that...
I had a neat idea for a duel for you all! How about a Random Card challenge? Basically, you randomly generate a single card (Preferably a Monster) and you have to build a deck based off that card. Even if it's an ancient Normal Monster with no fusions or archetype, you can still build the deck surrounding the monster type or attribute, or the theme/artwork of the card. Here's the rules I came up with (though feel free to tweak them to suit your purposes) 1) You must have x3 copies of that card in your deck (Proxies are acceptable if you don't have enough, of course) 2) If there are cards that reference that card by name, (such as a fusion) you must have x3 copies of at minimum one of those cards. (Proxies, again are acceptable.) You must also have the means to actually play those cards (Polymerization and other materials for a fusion summon, for example) 3) You must make reasonable effort to include your random card in your win condition - for example, getting M-Warrior #1 would suck, bad. But you could try, for example, to summon Karbonala Warrior (A fusion monster that requires M-Warrior #1 & 2) and then use it as a material for a monster that requires a fusion monster to summon. Is it good? No! But that's the fun of this idea. You could also reduce the pool of cards to select only cards of a certain tier of play, if you don't want a Twin Long Rods #2 VS Tearlaments Havnis match up, or add a rule where you have to summon your monster before you can win the duel.
9:25 as a dark world player I relate because every time I use dragon overlord people keep on saying “that was your effect that discarded your dark world” and I have to keep on telling them, it isn’t my effect that negates and makes me discard, it makes YOUR effect become I have to discard
Good duel. Was entertaining a good way to showcase each of the abilities of the Structure Decks. Keep doing them! I like how DW plays, but the Traptrix SD is so full of control and recovery. I like the increasing production quality you and your editor implement into the videos. Showcasing the card being played for a few seconds really helps. There are some OCG RUclips channels who do this pretty well. Some things I hope you can make changes to are: If using a dark colored playmat, please use light colored sleeves (and vice versa). It was a bit hard to notice set cards on Alec's field. High contrast/visibility is always good, and I know Paul you look up to the overhead camera a lot to check focus and camera views all the time. RUclips allows End Screens to suggest other videos or display your channel's logo as a button to subscribe. As a viewer, it's super annoying to have those things cover up the last few seconds of your video while you guys are still talking and saying "Pass Turn". I recommend adding 5 seconds to the end of your videos as some sort of "outro" or fade out so your actual video is completely viewable and the End Screens cover up some nice background art or something.
It's really strong but only Traptrix specifically since u can't search for that card consistently in other decks and in other decks as well these traps don't gain protection like they do in Traptrix so they can be wiped away with spells like lightning storm before ur opponent begins their normal combo
When parallel exceed first came out people were going into rafflesia with them and dumping grave digger hole to stop nibiru. It was pretty common of a rank 4 to bring out before 5 summons. Now no one goes through all that effort for it.

Alec, you still dont get Ceruli, it seems. The strongest play you can make going first with Darkworld is to discard Ceruli and then discard Siilva by Ceruli's effect. Especially effective if you pull it off twice. Just to remind you: Siilva's second effect is for your opponent to send two cards in their hand back to the deck. Its devastating. Siilva is also searchable off the new Reign-Beaux. Another thing you didnt seem to make use of was the new hand loop. If you have Reign-Beaux and Grapha in grave, then just getting one Darkworld on the field allows you to bounce it back to hand to summon Reign-Beaux and then bounce Reign-Beaux back to hand to summon Grapha. Thats a lot of card advantage. Bottom line is running only one Ceruli and no Siilva just doesnt cut muster.
Paul forgot some effects. Sera can use each effect once per turn. So when he activates a trap hole, he can special summon a traptrix (in the first game it was dionaea), activate her effect, then activate sera again to set a trap hole. He also forgot to normal summon Pudica, which he could do thanks to his field spell.
@@b4sh936 why would he want 2 Rafflesia ? I mean, her effect is great, sure. But not enough to summon her twice. You might want a Pinguicula to get catch your opponent's monsters before they hit the graveyard.
that was a really good duel! as far as rulings go, trap trick does not stop you from activating trap card effects, only trap cards themselves so the holeutea was legal. also of note is that big grapha can only respond to the activation of actual spell/trap cards themselves not their effects so he would not have been able to activate in response to the graveyard effect of holeutea.

When grapha overlord leaves the field due to an opponents card, grapha will special summon, and then both players with a hand discard 1 card. Bottomless trap hole doesnt negate the summon, so you both would still discard a card.
"OMG You illegal played the whole video is RUIN, Keybaord warrior mode activate, UNFORGIVABLE!!" Im kidding of course (because text cannot convey my sarcasm) Great stuff!
Just so yall know, if you use graphas effect to change an opponent’s effect to you discard a card, youre discarding by dark world card effect and can then chain archives to it, discard another card and draw 2, even on your opponents turn.
@@kristienwhitney-johns5863 No. Graphas effect is that once it leaves the field, you special summon a little grapha from banishment or graveyard and then both players with a hand discard a card. Then, graphas other effect is manipulating an opponents normal spell/trap or monster effect to be “your opponent discards 1 card”. Both effects are discards because of grapha.
@Andrew Good yeah I know it's effects, I assumed we was leaving the other effect out as it wasn't relevant to the convo. Basically, I thought that because it's the opponents (none dark world) card effect that is making you discard, that that there was no interaction with archives, cool that there is though
Heads up, Ping can stuff cards discarded or sent by your opponent's card effects too. Just suck em up as more material and watch as your opponent cries as their effects that require their monster to remain in the same zone to resolve get stuffed.
23:44 from what i understand graphan can in fact "negate" the effect as long as its activated and a normal trap. since he can also negate monsters in GY, banish and hand as long as they are activated
It's got a ton of potential. You've gotta reinforce it with cards that'll buy time and hold the line should things go South, as the Traptrix cards tend to lack firepower and defense. I like to put in max amount of Raigeki, Swords of Revealing Light, and Mimicking Man-Eater Bug. Also, a lot of attention is paid to Rafflesia, which is a great card, but - Traptrix Allomerus has a secondary effect of being able to steal an opponent's monster, if said opponent's monster leaves the field by card effect. This applies to any Trap Hole, Raigeki, banishment - anything. If you can get Malevolent Sin and Allomerus on the field, you can steal any monster you want. With the new field spell, it's even easier to make that happen.
You can summon them to your opponent’s field to draw 2 cards and discard 1. They are a good extender, but they can also help prevent bricking if you start on them.
Also, forgot to say, because you can put them on the opponent’s field, some of the extra DW effects can activate by forcing them to make you discard. ROTA helps to get them out. DW in general doesn’t rely on normal summons, so normal summoning them is usually a good idea.
1:43 yes, but because they need to 'summon' it back, it will be a target for any hole card, making her effect a way to deal with monsters that are already on the board
6:30 if you activated holeutea you could have another XYZ monster on the field, like rafflesia, to have any hole active from your deck. Or, you could have detached dionea instead and then use holeutea and special and make cularea, to special summon back the dio, to reset the discarded trap. Which would allow you to reset any used hole card (like the gravedigger that will wreck Alec's deck) 11:56 why not normal summon pudica and activate holeatea? You can make alumerus, use her effect to special mermalio, pop a backrow and have 3200 + 2600 more on board to win this round. 20:10 I think you ashould never get rid of Sera unless you can get her back the same turn. She has to much value on field. 21:26 No 'it'is not the only card you can use: You can only use 1 trap this turn; It can eb any trap you have on field Still, you showcased what the TT deck can do. And how great this deck can be. Pak even went 5-0 against kashrita with this.
Traptrix still spites me to this day. Not because it’s overpowered. But because I still remember how I went second so they got their setups off and I still had the ultimate counter…and the second it was my turn I misplayed so hard that ended up with me losing
I should've gotten traptrix structure deck over the crystal beasts deck to face my coworker that has the dark world deck because traptrix is a pretty decent trap deck to overcome certain opponents' boss monsters effectively. I do however don't regret it since there's a trap card when successfully activated when one of 7 crystal beasts monsters gets destroyed, I can then bring out my ultimate crystal beast monster to the field and begin the death machine proceess of fusion summoning to ultimate crystal dragon overdrive to end the duel.

Is this right? Cuz you are discarding due to a none dark world effect aren't you?
@@kristienwhitney-johns5863 youre discarding because of graphas effect, and grapha is a dark world card.
@@andrewgood7586 oh okay I thought it was due to the opponents card effect that you discard. Just my misunderstanding
I honestly didn't think the new dark world deck would be any good, but it's actually beast!! I like how Alec gives the cards epic introductions
*sees evenly in a trap heavy deck*
YOU BECAME THE MONSTER YOU SWORE TO DESTROY
Heads up, Ping can stuff cards discarded or sent by your opponent's card effects too. Just suck em up as more material and watch as your opponent cries as their effects that require their monster to remain in the same zone to resolve get stuffed.
I love how Paul is so composed and calm while Alec is worried and nervous most of the time. Yall my childhood ❤
"We can count on RUclips for comments"
Literally the only Yu-Gi-Oh channel I sub to, you guys are great lol
May I ask what app you use to track life points?
23:44 from what i understand graphan can in fact "negate" the effect as long as its activated and a normal trap. since he can also negate monsters in GY, banish and hand as long as they are activated
Traptrix are agressive af. Idk it seems they may have some rogue deck potential even in meta. Similar to labyrnth.
And Paul also missplayed on round one, he can end up with 2 rafflesia too, traptrix is goated now
Labrynth isn't that strong in the meta.
@@emissaryofcharybdis105 The new link gives them stable atk power 3.8k -4.8k is normal now for them.
My guy was playing like 4 dark world monsters apparently 😂
Bro I was waiting for this, love you guys so much
Dark World can be pretty gnarly if you add the Ken and Gen set to it. Super cheap cards but a great upgrade for DW in particular.
@@JW-dp4we out of curiosity because I currently play the dark world deck, why is gen and Ken so good?
You can summon them to your opponent’s field to draw 2 cards and discard 1. They are a good extender, but they can also help prevent bricking if you start on them.
Also, forgot to say, because you can put them on the opponent’s field, some of the extra DW effects can activate by forcing them to make you discard. ROTA helps to get them out. DW in general doesn’t rely on normal summons, so normal summoning them is usually a good idea.
@@JW-dp4we thank you!
Which would allow you to reset any used hole card (like the gravedigger that will wreck Alec's deck)
11:56 why not normal summon pudica and activate holeatea? You can make alumerus, use her effect to special mermalio, pop a backrow and have 3200 + 2600 more on board to win this round.
20:10 I think you ashould never get rid of Sera unless you can get her back the same turn. She has to much value on field.
21:26 No 'it'is not the only card you can use: You can only use 1 trap this turn; It can eb any trap you have on field
Still, you showcased what the TT deck can do.
Lol paul I be flinching here!..swinging attack wrist so fast and abruptly LOL
I wanted to add in the mekk knight cards that come in the structure but just couldn’t find space for them
We love a good back and forth that last duel was fun to watch.
Only a question, why only one raigeki? You could play the other 2 for the trap trick
I would love to see more game plays of the Traptrixs deck.
That was a great game!
I love how much back and forth there was, considering I was expecting one to steamroll the other.
I should've gotten traptrix structure deck over the crystal beasts deck to face my coworker that has the dark world deck because traptrix is a pretty decent trap deck to overcome certain opponents' boss monsters effectively. I do however don't regret it since there's a trap card when successfully activated when one of 7 crystal beasts monsters gets destroyed, I can then bring out my ultimate crystal beast monster to the field and begin the death machine proceess of fusion summoning to ultimate crystal dragon overdrive to end the duel.
having to see the traptrix deck is pretty cool! Me and my brother got our first structure decks, dark world and saga of blue eyes, could you make structure deck vid out of these two? that would mean a lot from one of my favourite yugitubers
Been itching to build another x3 structure deck, and I've been watching a handful of videos showcasing Traptrix. Finally ordered three of the decks, so I can finally see the deck go up against Ultimate Dino Tyranno and Zombie World. I won my first game at locals with the dino deck; the icing on the cake was, when I got Ultimate Dino Tyranno on the board and swinging, my opponent conceded saying he didn't have an answer for it
Pinguicula is kinda crazy against Dark World. When you opponent discards Grapha, she can absorb it, and same thing with the Fusion Spell no?
That battle music is Darkus Arena from the Bakugan Battle Brawlers video game, from the final battle with Marduk
OMG I Can't even explain how happy i am to see this video. Since the hype for traptrix started, I wanted to see that arquetype duel against dark world! besides those are the dcks me and my friend are running. Keep up the awesome content u guys
Sick gameplay! Just recently decided to get back into the game and picked up Traptrix and was considering Dark World as well and this video popped up and sold me on Dark World! Traptrix is such a house for a control deck, and Dark World did an excellent job being resilient.
Alec never used effect of Rainbow or Grapha to bring his Genta back to hand. Killer combo.
Yeah, I was waiting on that. It's funny because the special summon is a hard once per turn, but discarding to search for Gates isn't
Is this the strongest structure deck yet?! How many are you picking up?
I love the friendly "trash talking" , makes for a more entertaining videos ... keep it up guys , your videos always get better :)
Paul be really swing that attack at you...almost flinched
Man I did this myself last night it was amazing I’m excited to see how this plays out!
Great video, guys!
Side note: I MUST know where Alec got his Bakura shirt!
I love this channel so much
I appreciate your content it really makes a difference in my day when I’m scrolling with nothing entertaining to watch
As someone who has only recently come back to Yugioh (in part thanks to your channel), its still baffling to me how it went from Egyptian Gods, Monsters and Magicians, to just straight up anime girls
The traptrix are killer plants that use anime girls as bait. That seems pretty YuGiOh to me.
Dark Magician Girl was around from the start.
You should absolutely check the Albaz, Bysstials and Dogmatika cards. Their aesthetic is godlike and/or something born from Lovecraft's worst nightmares, there is no in between
@Michele Dell'Oglio yeah albaz is an anime guy that turns into lubellion the searing dragon!
And ecstella is an anime girl that turns into mirror jade ice dragon!! I'm still learning the story but I have the structure deck
@@leandroagonzalez3 Mirrorjade is still Albaz, Ecclesia can't transform. Lubellion is actually Aluber, Jesper of Despia(the evil guy) transformed, not Albaz
29:02 what the hell kind of noise was that? XD
Thanks the duel. Really enjoyed watching both decks
Quick question: are the decks still good to use even if i dont have 3 copies?
Just for fun casual play
I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh irl in such a long time but I did buy a mirrorjade deck when i saw it at the store. I love mirrorjade in master duel but only wish it had super poly
wait... you local store sells an entire deck? My local store barely has any singles worth buying(most meta cards usually out of stock) unless you just want higher rarity that cost $20 or higher.
@@leemay3097my "local" it's about 40 minutes away but it's worth going to they sell so many singles that they'll help you build whatever deck you wanna play then you can enter the next tournament that's happening that day.
@@leemay3097 yeah I just went to buy some manga and saw a few decks in the back and bought one.
@@ivanbluecool Manga on top of yu gi oh pre-made decks? where is this place?
it seems so magical. And how much did you pay for your mirrorjade deck? is it branded despia or something?
@@cantremember6794 You mean "buy", right? Because otherwise your local shopkeeper would be the best salesman if you wanted to sell them your singles.
But, you come out of there with a full deck instead.
The reprints alone in trap tricks already blows dark world out of the water
Bought the Darkworld deck to get back in yugioh and hoooooooooooooooboy, it was eye opening how complex this game has gotten since my youth.
It really freaked me out that Paul wasn’t on the bottom of the screen and he has the red outline on the blue side and the opposite for Alec
It feels like I'm reading entire book chapters when I look at a dark world card.
I wasn't expecting such holeable puns this duel.
How about slifer and obelisk deck vs cryatal beasts and sacred beasts
I love this series, thanks. Helps a lot
Pretty back and forth between these decks, it was a fun match to watch.🤙
I appreciate Alec asking cards in hand, Paul shuffles them too fast for me to keep up.
The first game paul didn't utilize both holetea and arachnocampa he wanted that gravediggers burn haha
I'd assume the new "Traptrix Holeutea" is pronounced "Hole-oo-téa" (téa like Téa Gardner) only due to it being counted as a "Hole" Normal Trap, but that's just me.
By the way, loved the duel
Wouldn't he have been able to chain the new xyz to the summon of the new grapha since he banished material for it
30:55 sera’s heerrreeeeeee 😂🔥
1st time seeing your videos, I wanted to see a review on the pink deck with my gf because I’m trying so hard to get her to get into it. We seen the pink deck at target and she didn’t wana get it until we “watched a review “lol. But I’m a new subscriber now 🔥💪
Alec said the burn damage would be a degenerate way to win but just last week I watched him blow Paul away with a Wave Motion Cannon that had 5 counters on it 😂💀
TBF if you manage to get 5 counters on a Wave Motion Cannon, you deserve to win.
Not to mention the rare hunter's series where he runs a fire type burn deck lol.
@@NsyteIcyShadow solar flare 💀
Post the deck lists for both. I love playing this way and sticking to an archetype rather than splashing tons of meta things into an archetype.
Its in video
It's hard to hear over your background music.
The music game 3 was hype.
Traptrix Holeutea is pronounced "Hole ee-ya-tay-ya". Paul also forgot to activate absorb effect of Pinguicula for like the first 2 games!
I like these games cause i can see what the decks can do so i can learn the basics, looking foward to the next VS when the next Structure comes out
I just bought Dark Worlds as my first deck ever. This was super helpful in figuring it out. Thx guys!
Awesome duels, hope to see more of the traptrix boys on the channel.
Have y'all tried out the zombie horde reloaded structure deck
