Announcer: "And now, straight from the 31st floor of the Nakatomi building, Alan Rickman!" Rickman: "I just DROPPED in to say hello." Best. Introduction. Ever.
I think the thing which makes Alan Rickman so funny is the bone-dry monotone delivery he gives every words he says. Coupled with that killer pitch of his voice, it is just gold!
RIP Alan Rickman. You are a childhood icon of mine, with a voice I would recognise anywhere. You had many roles during your career, and each and everyone of them couldn't have been done by anyone else. You are Severus Snape, you are Hans Gruber and you are the Sheriff of Nottingham to many people. Even in death you'll still provide us all with amazing entertainment for generations to come. Thank you 'Always'.
Indeed! I can't describe it otherwise than saying it's "Alanish". Really, he is not a person you can say that he belongs to "this-or-that type of people", he is simply Alan. Being Alan holds in it being funny as hell as well, in a very dead yet vivid way. Can't help but love him for it, together with his intelligence which adds a lot!
Too true. He is hilarious with every sentence he speaks in that Voice of his. And we all repeat his main points, but even simple by-the-ways are hilarious the way he says them. Like... "I, I don't know why the rest of you are here...Eh.."
Alan Rickman is fantastic when it comes to deadpan. And it's even better that he hardly ever uses that talent so when he does its a friggen awesome surprise.
I miss him so much, but I'm so glad he was able to complete the Harry Potter series. He was epic in every movie I ever saw him in. He was hilarious in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
god i love how scary and hillarious he is at the same time, even in interviews. He is so monotone and has kind of a scary voice, but he is hillarious when he wants to be. Love this guy. A very fascinating actor.
...sorry? ... monotone, and scary voice??? 😂 C'mon , every woman melt to the sound of that voice . It's scary what he does with it. Btw, he was only 1 word : UNIQUE ❤ so I'm not at sharing one word of your comment...
On crutches and wearing a neck brace -- "I just dropped in to say hello..." LOL! Anyone who hasn't realized yet that Alan Rickman can be incredibly funny needs -- seriously, NEEDS -- to watch "Galaxy Quest."
Alan is really funny--I'm glad they got him to do this show. I think Die Hard was his first big break--love to see more vids with him speaking--I love his voice.
Classy, sexy, debonair, drool-worthy voice, easy on the eyes, genius actor, brilliant man, perfectly deadpan in this case... God I love Alan Rickman... and I'm 17... *sigh*
OMGs!!! I think I've wet myself laughing! I love Alan to distraction. Thank you so much for posting this. I will visit it often. 5 very well earned stars!
can anyone find the full version of this? i wasnt told when Alan was hosting this or even about this at all! :( i wish i could see it and just laugh my ass off because Alan is so funny and i thought he was actually hurt for a sec until i realized he's faking it lol XD he never gets hurt in whatever he does its a miracle actually if u see all of his movies he never gets hurt and only acts like he is haha but i wish i could of gone back in time to watch this before it was over with :'(
my god, when julia roberts started laughing i nearly wet myself!! and Alan RIckman has one of the sexiest voices i've ever heard. so it's an odd (but immensely pleasant) combo when he's being so damned FUNNY.
This is fantastic! Alan Rickman was hilarious-- great delivery! I cracked up when Julia Roberts (I think it was her) laughed and then everyone else followed. :D
Laughing- grinning widely- grinning- smiling- half smiling- straight face- disappointed smirk. HAHAHAH! That was Willis' emotional development from being happy into being angry. That was a public daunting and I sincerely hope that it gave a punch to his great ego. Alan is so evil..hahah. Love him ^^
I remember when my son told me I should watch Die Hard. It didn't seem to be the sort of movie I'd like, but, he said, it had the best villian ever. And that's when I became an Alan Rickman fan.
The best dynamic duo ever was Alan and Bruce in die hard they had spunk chemistry the hottness the fireworks and pretty much everything Alan was the bomb he will be missed rip Alan and Bruce we 🙏 for him and his family in this time of need get better soon
We know that our brother Bruce is battling dementia and alopecia we hope and pray 🙏 for him and his family in this time of need we love you so much we miss you come back soon ❤️
IT'S A MIRACLE !!! haha he is soooo funny :P fuck i love him !!!! I'd love to see my parents face if i'd come back at home with him hahahaha especialy if you add the fact that i'M 20.
at 1:47 I thought: "WTF happened to him? And why is everyone laughing at him, that's mean!" But when he throws away the crutches... I was laughing too. Too bad that I can't understand all of the video, is it available in higher quality anywhere? Anyway, he's a brilliant actor! Is this really him at 1:35? He looks so different o.O Aww I love Alan Rickman! He's the very best actor in the world *.* *faints*

I think the thing which makes Alan Rickman so funny is the bone-dry monotone delivery he gives every words he says. Coupled with that killer pitch of his voice, it is just gold!
Can't believe he's gone - he made every single thing he ever was in - better for his being in it . . . Including our lives . . .

No rip alan ever he is not truly gone
Xtreme Sceptic
At least he truly will be the Metatron, now.
God, Alan Rickman even upstages Bruce Willis when he's there to award/honor him, lol. Elegance and utter self-control go a long way ^_^
alan has such a dry sense of humor its great!
Brits have great sense of humour,it's real and deep,American humour is dull.
mjfreaklove Humor is unique to each individual.
"It's a miracle !" the way Alan Rickman is saying that is just hilarious !!
Indeed! I can't describe it otherwise than saying it's "Alanish". Really, he is not a person you can say that he belongs to "this-or-that type of people", he is simply Alan. Jacqueline D.
He can sing really well, too!
'I just drop to say hello' :-DDD
It's no surprise that he was funny since he almost always adds a bit of comedy in the roles he played.
I'm still too much in shock that he's gone!!!

He's brilliant and perfect for standup because he can keep such a pedantic tone and straight face!! XD
god i love how scary and hillarious he is at the same time, even in interviews. He is so monotone and has kind of a scary voice, but he is hillarious when he wants to be. Love this guy. A very fascinating actor.
He was also so intelligent and kind.

My thoughts during this entire video....... "Snape. Snape. Severus Snape."
MusicDreamLife94
DUMBleDOR!!
You shouldn´t bother him, though ;-).
I have tears in my eyes. And I am not sure whether they come from laughing or because of the pain of the loss.
Alan is the best actor I have ever seen, really.
He was the sexiest and the wittiest...
On crutches and wearing a neck brace -- "I just dropped in to say hello..." LOL! Anyone who hasn't realized yet that Alan Rickman can be incredibly funny needs -- seriously, NEEDS -- to watch "Galaxy Quest."
You know this guy used to direct comedy plays back in London while playing bad/dramatic guys. on screen.
Rickman and Irons should become a comedy duo.
I wish they did a film or something together, two talented ass British Actors.
Alan is really funny--I'm glad they got him to do this show. I think Die Hard was his first big break--love to see more vids with him speaking--I love his voice.

Honestly it’s like watching snape give a speech
And at 5:38-6:32 Jeremy Irons just makes my day as well. LOL, he's doing a better German accent there than in the movie!
He had ample time to practice as he waited there with the airplane on Constant Standby. 😂
Jesus, I love this man.
03:51, who's willing to guess that it is Julia Robert's laughter? Hahaha! Heard her laugh before? It's the most craziest thing! Infectious though. =))
