He had a bad experience with PSG. He wasn't comfortable. As an introvert, I don't think he's interested in spending two years of his life in Saudi. He and his family would not be happy.
Messi finished football he has a right to choose what he wants...where he plays he leaves Europe with Most trophies Most goals Most assists Most ballon dor Moat golden boot The absolute ❤🐐going to 🇺🇸
He turned down the Saudi offer because he's actually gonna get more through the Inter Miami deal with getting a share of the revenue from subscriptions from AppleTV and Adidas is also giving him a share of the revenue from merchandise sales.
First of all, all this talk about money from Saudi Arabia is hogwash. He NEVER got an official offer from the Saudi’s. He claims that he wanted to play in Europe only if it was for Barcelona. The truth of the matter is he had no other options. And I have been saying this all along, Barcelona did not want him back. Everybody is saying what a smart decision, Inter Miami was his only option.
that's dumb. 1,2 bill in 2 years!!!!!! to give you perspective lebron whole career until he became granpa is only 520 million. the right answer is messi isn't solely make that decision based on money. if money is the main factor 1,2 billi in 2 years is the right desicion,, doesn't matter long term short term or what ever term you wanna call it.
@nayanagal8849 MLS is a longer term bet. Messi also gets a stake in intermiami and a chance to start his own football club at a discounted price like Beckham. He could stay in Saudi for a few years max until his body can't keep up, and then they want nothing do with him. Whether through inter miami or a new club, Messi could be involved and paid for being involved in Football as an owner for many decades.
I think Beckham only owns like 5% of Inter Miami. But it's not just about net worth. It's the cheaper buy in, the fact MLS is a stable league with no relegation and gives stable source of income to franchisees. The potential of making more if football grows in America. Being able to compete for more trophies as an owner instead of a player for as long as he wants.@@nayanagal8849
Believe it or not, he did this for the national team, he got a training campus for the AFA (Argentina Football Association), whwere the next Copa America and World Cup will be celebrated? United States, he will be local
Saudis had garrenteed money while the mls offer allowed him a runway to stay involved with football for the rest of his life. The equity stake also feeds to the ego, someone being called the goat will believe the hype surrounding them. The option to transition from player to ownership is great as a long term option.
The most important thing for all the Americas Continent would be unifying Conmebol (South American football association) and Concacaf (North American football association): 1) It would create a spectacular international club competition, to rival the UEFA Champions League. It would generate a lot of investment and business for a supercharged Americas Libertadores Cup: Teams from Brazilian league, Argentinian League, Mexican League, MLS (USA) League, etc. 2) Unifying Copa America and Gold Cup in a Supercharged Copa America. A spectacular international national teams competition, similar to the 2016 Copa America, but with more teams. 3) If we don’t do this now, UEFA (European football association) will be a monopoly. 4) There would be more Americas teams in the World Cup, And the World Cup qualification would be super fun
These are unconfirmed reports but they were willing to say this on MLS 360° show on Apple TV that Saudi Arabia made one last offer to Messi of 1.8 billion
@@BMStudios711 Saudi Arabia has a population of 35 million. If just 10% of all Americans tune in that's already more than the Saudis have. Aside from the fact that most likely not every Saudi watches football (their women aren't even allowed to lol), so that percentage in reality is even smaller. @JC Bones he got that offer from saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 his father even went to saudi to talk about the offer as well so get your report right buddy
@@jcbones3098oh wow we got better transfer news reporter than FABRIZIO ROMANO
Because his father went there means nothing. They had no official offer. Considering that the Barca offer was not there, all he had was Inter Miami
@JC Bones if you want deny that then do it 😅 Cry more 🤣
He'll probably make more in the long run in the MLS than in Saudi anyways. Just a difference of short term with Saudi & longer term in the US.
It's not possible because saudi money is tax free and in mls it will depend on if he manages to promote his brand and stuff.

At some point you get to a point you already have so much money that you get to decline 1.6B$. To much money to spend in his lifetime and kids.

Miami will win the MLS next year.
I'm not so sure about that. With Messi's salary the rest of the team has to be pretty weak to not break the limit.
to win titles you need a team... well a player like messi could be a catalyst to build such a team but nothing is guaranteed
It's 1.6 Billion Euros and not just measly dollars.
Not much of a difference nowadays
