Thanks Sir for sharing the knowledge. Regarding English letters I don't think it is a sound based language. For example in the word "Pepe" there will not be "E" sound though both P and E letters have E sound. Similarly the sound "W" will not be present in any words. All "W" can be replaced with "V". So it is wrong to say only 26 letters in English as there are more sounds hence English is having phonetics. Regarding Tamil Mei Ezhuthukkal, I see the Mellinam followed after a Vallinam have the sound mouth position. Only difference is Mellinam being nasal. For example the Mei Ezhuthu "ip" and "im" have the sound moth position (closed lips). But when we say "im" it is nasal.
