I Remember These When NJ Transit Had Them On The Atlantic City To New York Line (Serving Lakewood, Newark & Jersey City) In The Early To Late Part Of The 80's. Back Then It Was The 119 (Lakewood Local).
that bus have a rare combination of the 8v71 Detroit diesel engine with the v730 Allison automatic transmission normally it comes with the ht 740 Allison automatic transmission if its a highway coach buses but I've could be wrong I've used to see those GMC PD series in the 90s most notable an ex greyhound bus with the 8v71 Detroit diesel engine with the 4 or 5 speed manual transmission I've missed the older buses with the Detroit diesel engines with the 4-5 speed manual or a ht 740 or 748 Allison automatic transmission

Some RTS and Grumman Flxible Buses, as well as a few New Look(Flxibles and GMCs) had 8V71s to V730s. But this bus sounds really odd for a V730
