I’m an urban native. One day while sitting outside the local 7 11 drinking a slurpee, the beat cops pulled up who knew me(they went to cop school with my cousin) We were right in middle of the hood. They get on their bullhorn saying my name, and ‘put your hands in the air!’ I was like oh gawd, get out of here! Then they said it again, followed by ‘now wave them around like you just don’t care!’ They got the finger!! 🤷🏻♀️🤣✌🏼🇨🇦

A rez cop stopped a man for speeding. The cop told the man this stop was at the end of his shift and would mean a bunch of paperwork for the officer. if driver could make him laugh the officer would let him go. The driver thought for a moment then said, Two years ago my wife ran off with a rez cop and I thought you were bringing her back."

My sister is working to be a wildlife officer for our state. She says they confiscate meats to local soup kitchens when someone hunts, fish illegally... I said "you better drop that elk and salmon off at this house. We are a soup kitchen!" 🤣

As a dispatcher in a rural county, this had me laughing so hard. In one town of about 100 people, the bar owner would call and tell us not to patrol because it was driving away business. We actually had a sheriff who sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher so that impersonation gave me flashbacks. That said, I love doing ride-alongs with an officer friend on the rez where I grew up. We always see spooky things.

@@judithann7193 They have more than their fair share of paranormal activity there. One of the craziest things was what looked like two rows of perfectly aligned yard lights on a hill with no houses or power lines. We got about 1/4 mile from it and they just disappeared.

@@apachesparatan5849 They have a lot of ghost car sightings. One pickup is often seen in an intersection where it was crashed 30 years ago and the occupants died. The truck was crushed after that. We turned around in that intersection and a weird mist enveloped the patrol rig. It was odd because it was a perfectly clear night. There is one road the officers won't go on unless they're called there. When they do, ghosts mess with their radio and lights. I was told not to go on that road, but if I do, if I see someone walking, not to stop unless I also see a vehicle. They have a lot of UFO activity. One night (I was not there) three officers were parked on different roads, blacked out, in a triangle formation watching some bizarre lights in a nearby forest. A UFO appeared and shined lights in each of their directions. One officer quit the next day. One now-retired county deputy swears that he saw a reptilian walk behind his vehicle while he was on a traffic stop. It stepped over a fence and walked up a hill. He didn't go to that area for the rest of his career.

I am a paramedic in a rural community as well. Most of the people on the radio is hard to understand! Sometimes we just have to laugh! Love the show you guys! Sending the love to all!

I've had many encounters with police. The Rez police out west have been the most decent human beings I have had the HONOR to come across. Any other police videos I'm all about F the police!! This man is representing my dealings with tribal police. I don't put y'all in the same category.... respect... protect your women... too many are gone
The entire time I kept thinking, “Why aren’t everyday cops like this?” Law enforcement units in some cities act like they are invading forces and not community police.
99% of Police Are good. The small number who are rotten, corrupt, bullies, racist., etc are usually the only ones who are spoken of in the media.
Fk the police is a pathetic attitude to have. It's all look at me and how cool/tough/anarchist I am until You need the police.

@@stephanieyee9784 I always figured those people are anarchist and anti- gun until somebody busts into their home and in 1 second they convert Their thinking. In a similar vein when visiting my then- boyfriend in British Columbia he introduced me to the RCMP assigned to his area who also happened to be grocery shopping . Officer Lorne apologized for not being in dress uniform- their daily is kinda brown with a fine stripes woven in. Told him N B D: I would hate to pay the dry- cleaning bill for his full regailia!

Even if you hadn't had the title up, I'd have pegged Elroy for a Rez Cop right off. You just get a sense for these things after awhile. When I was a little terrorizer, I got pretty good at the dive, roll and duck. Disappear in the ditch. There was this one Rez Cop though. Every time, he would find me. Fortunately for me, it was usually a curfew violation so he would take me home and watch me go into the house. I have some fond memories of that guy. He helped me knock that shit off faster than the cops that liked to hog tie kids and throw them in the back seat. When I say throw, I mean throw. Those guys did some stuff that was shadier than that even, but the positive influence from the one cop was the thing that has always stuck with me. Part of the reason that I have respect for cops in the first place is if they show themselves to be respectable. Same with anybody, really. I guess that's what it was about. That cop treated me like a kid, which I was at the time, and not just some criminal.

When my lil brother was learning how to drive, and i was teaching him, being 4 yrs older, he got pulled over by Navajo Nation PD on a dirt road. Lol. The cop let us cruz back home, and we laughed about it before and after we told our parents. My late pops thought it was the funniest sh*t he ever heard. Also, my 1st speeding ticket was in Chinle, with my Nalí Asdzáá, the best memory with my nalie.
Aw...I was hoping to see the one where a lawyer tries to tell us how to talk to a police officer when pulled over and the native dude tries it and in the next clip he's stripped and thrown in a jail cell saying, "da hell?!! You know you don't have to push me you know .. and some random outta no where goes....'mlahhhhh' and he's like "mlahhhhh, when did you get here!!!"🤣🤣

Post-apocalypse, coming of age, a good character-driven drama, movies that revolve around one single day (not sure if that is a sub-genre of some kind), period pieces, and the 'older man younger woman' romance sub-genre but not when the man is over 45ish haha. I feel like I've seen every movie in the last two I listed though, so sad.

I grew up around a lot of cops (not many native cops unfortunately). It was always 'the good ones' who made it a point to try and connect with members of the community, bad or good. They made such a difference and really felt like they were there to serve and protect, not just enforce laws because someone said so. Vice versa too, sometimes people forget cops are just people doing a job most don't want or have the fortitude for and including them can be awesome.
