The meter should be set to AC voltage when spinning the wheel. The AC voltage reading will rise as the wheel is turned faster. Look for blips in the readings while the wheel is turning.
I set my reading on 2000k ohms and lift up the wheel. Reading was going up and down 1200-1300-1400-950-1200 weird number. Is that sensor reading okay ? does it supposed to go up when speeding up the wheel ?
I bought trailer Vanguard 2007 dry van. Someone bypassed the abs light so it looks like abs system is working. My question is which wire gives power to abs light ?

i made a rod bout 6'' to reach in and tap that sensor to the tone ring with that wheel jack up spin it and if sensor is touching it will make a mark on ring if it dont tap it in till it does
Got any info on how to troubleshoot abs light on the truck i have already clean the tone wheel replace new abs sensor check for voltage to the sensor and still getting fault code for that sensor
im back is consistency and i still get the yellow light, new green cable that connects truck and trailer but i know that the truck is not issue cause i have other two trailer and i never get the abs light on This issue is driving me crazy. What could be the problem that triggers the abs light to come on ? Yellow light blinks 6 and repeats that for three times
@@nathanmarshall9951 vanguard dry van 2007. I have 2s/1m abs basic. Both outlets of the module gives 5 volts. wires before the sensors 5volts also. No rust no nothing. Sensor 1200ohm resistance. When spining wheels numbers go up and down which means they read i guess. I got 6 blinks which is YE2 sensor and now i swapped them to see if it will give YE1 to see if its the sensor or the gap or idk maybe module. what do u think ?
Is it a Wabco, Haldex, or a Bendix abs module? You should also test the voltage coming from the sensors when spinning the wheels. It should read at least .2 volts when spinning the wheel. Compare both sensor readings. Are they around the same voltage? Does the voltage fluctuate a lot or is it fairly smooth and consistent? If you have to spin the wheel extremely fast to get it to read .2 volts then there's something wrong with the sensor or it's not making good contact with the tone ring. Check wheel bearing end play as well. If the bearing isn't tight, it can cause issues too.
Nobody else noticed the new brakes with the leaking wheel seal?
Someone probably didn’t feel like doing it that day and the customer only asked for brake change

That’s seeping wheel seal which happens, till you see it leak onto the hun I consider it leaking

You can put your multimeter on ac voltage and watch the number's change. Or hook up a labscope. Like from snapon

New shoes on the abs axle , drums been off was the sensor pushed out to meet the exciter ring ? And exciter ring looks awful
Good idea to check the sensors when the shoes and drums are off ,unless it’s a first year apprentice,they don’t get it ! 🤣
Good practice to replace sensors when doing brake job or seal replacement, never be any closer .
I've had many sensors appear good, ohms around 1200, ohms drop while spinning wheel, voltage goes up when spinning a wheel. But sensor was still bad

2;38 check the too pins on ecu that cable unplugged from and should put out 5 amps and you know the computer is putting out to that sensor

Have you checked OHMs? Next step would be ABS module

The sensor shouldn’t be touching the ring
The sensor SHOULD be pushed in until it is touching the tone ring. The ring will push it back to the proper clearance as the wheels turn.
